Abstract

Pelatihan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan judul "Pelatihan Desain dan Pengemasan Produk untuk Siswa Ekonomi Lemah di MTsN 2 Payakumbuh" bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam bidang wirausaha, dengan fokus pada tema branding produk. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk membantu siswa ekonomi lemah dalam mengembangkan usaha kecil-kecilan mereka dan meningkatkan taraf ekonomi. Pelatihan terdiri dari beberapa tahap yang mencakup pembekalan tentang wirausaha dan pentingnya branding produk, desain label produk, pencetakan label, praktik pengemasan sabun cuci piring, serta demo penggunaan produk dengan produk pembanding. Siswa diajarkan prinsip-prinsip desain yang efektif, seperti memilih warna, tipografi, dan elemen grafis yang tepat. Mereka juga belajar tentang berbagai teknik pengemasan yang baik dan aman. Selain itu, siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk mencetak label produk mereka sendiri dan melakukan praktik pengemasan sabun cuci piring. Puncak kegiatan adalah demo penggunaan produk, di mana siswa memperkenalkan produk mereka kepada pelanggan potensial dan membandingkannya dengan produk sejenis di pasaran. Selanjutnya, siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk menjual produk mereka, baik secara langsung maupun melalui media sosial. Pelatihan ini diharapkan memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi siswa ekonomi lemah, membantu mereka menjadi wirausahawan yang sukses, dan meningkatkan taraf ekonomi mereka.

Abstract

Keberhasilan petani dalam melakukan usahatani terkait dengan kompetensi yang dimilikinya. Karakteristik dapat mempengaruhi seseorang dalam melakukan tindakan. Setiap petani memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda untuk memberikan dorongan dalam bertindak seperti petani kopi dalam melakukan usahatani kopi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik petani kopi di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari data primer melalui wawancara langsung dengan responden dan literatur lain. Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu umur, pendidikan, jenis kelamin, pengalaman, dan kemauan keras untuk berhasil. Untuk menganalisis indikator kemauan keras untuk berhasil diukur dengan skala likert 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5. Skor tertinggi (5) untuk jawaban yang sangat diharapkan sedangkan skor terendah (1) untuk jawaban yang sangat tidak diharapkan. Sebagian besar petani kopi di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan termasuk kedalam golongan usia produktif. Tingkat pendidikan tertinggi petani kopi adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dan tingkat pendidikan petani paling banyak yaitu pada Sekolah Dasar (SD). Jumlah petani kopi laki-laki di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Datar lebih besar dari petani perempuan. Pengalaman petani dalam melakukan usahatani kopi rata-rata adalah 21 tahun. Petani kopi di Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Datar memiliki keinginan untuk menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Limapuluh Kota Regency and Payakumbuh City, West Sumatra Province are the centers for the cultivation of Payakumbuh tobacco plants. The average Payakumbuh tobacco production is still low, namely 0.701 tonnes/ha. One of the causes of low productivity is disease caused by the cracker virus. This research aims to see the effect of naturally infected cracker virus infection on the growth and production of tobacco plants. This research is an observational study, carried out from June to September 2023, at the Payakumbuh State Agricultural Polytechnic experimental garden. The data obtained were processed using the T test at the 5%, level using the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) Version 23 software. From observation and data processing it was found that cracker virus infection caused low levels of chlorophyll A, high levels of chlorophyll B and total leaf chlorophyll levels. plant, leaf length, petiole length, leaf length, leaf width, leaf fresh weight, and root fresh weight, but had no effect on the number of leaves and leaf thickness compared to uninfected plants. From this it can be concluded that cracker virus infection can reduce the growth and yield of Payakumbuh tobacco.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effect of the number of leaves left on the rootstock and the best defoliation time to improve the performance of cacao shoot connection seedlings. The research was conducted in the experimental garden of Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh from March to July 2023. Cocoa clone ICS was used as rootstock and clone TSH as scion. The experimental design was 4x4 factorial with 3 replications, the environmental design was completely randomized design. Data were analyzed statistically using F test and DNMRT further test at 5% level. From the research and data processing, it was found that there is an interaction between the treatment of different number of rootstock leaves and different defoliation times on the performance of cocoa shoot grafting seedlings based on the variables of percentage of grafted seedlings, number of shoots, number of leaves, leaf area and weight of seedling scion. It can be concluded that defoliation of the rootstock six days before splicing with rootstock having four leaves produces the best performance of cacao shoot grafting seedlings

Abstract

Coffee is an important agricultural commodity with increasing global demand, so optimizing the growth of coffee seedlings, especially during the seedling phase, is crucial to increase productivity. The use of natural plant growth regulators offers an environmentally friendly and economical solution. This study aims to evaluate the effect of natural plant growth regulators from onion extract and bean sprout extract on the growth of robusta coffee seedlings (Coffea canephora L.) during the seedling phase. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three treatments, namely control, onion extract, and bean sprout extract. The parameters measured included plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves for six weeks. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and BNT test at the 5% level. The results showed that both natural plant growth regulators significantly increased the growth of coffee seedlings compared to the control. Bean sprout extract gave the best results for plant height (16.75 cm), while onion extract was superior in increasing stem diameter (4.65 mm) and number of leaves (12.20). Statistical analysis confirmed significant differences between treatments and controls for all parameters. Thus, the use of onion and bean sprout extracts as natural growth regulators has proven effective in increasing the growth of coffee seedlings in the seedling phase, offering an environmentally friendly and economical alternative for optimizing the growth of coffee seedlings.
