Abstract

The majority of residents of Humbang Hasudutan Regency are farmers, whose routine is different from the ASN routine. Based on environmental culture, the perspective of motivation on employees and the comfort of the work environment is certainly different. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to analyze the motivation and work environment on the performance of ASN in the Disdukcapil environment of Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This type of research is a causative research with a population of 65 people and with a saturated sampling method. Data analysis through several preliminary stages, classical assumption test, equation analysis, and hypothesis testing with t test and F test. Instruments with 24 questions to measure work motivation, work environment and employee performance have been declared valid and reliable. After going through statistical tests, it shows that motivation and work environment have a positive and significant effect on the performance of ASN Disdukcapil Humbang Hasundutan both simultaneously and partially. However, to optimize the performance of civil servants, it is necessary to explore other factors so that the performance of Disdukcapil Humbang Hasundutan Regency reaches a very good category. Adjustment of local culture also needs to be adjusted to the needs and habits of ASN Disdukcapil Humbang Hasundutan. Abstract

Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum Tirta Kualo (selanjutnya disebut PDAM Tirta Kualo) belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih masyarakat Kota Tanjung Balai. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah (1) debit air kurang dan berbau tidak sedap di wilayah 3 dan 5 PDAM Tirta Kualo; (2) 70% pelanggan tidak memiliki meteran air; (3) Banyaknya pencurian air dengan memotong langsung pipa distribusi; (4) Pelanggan mengeluhkan tagihan yang tinggi; (5) Pelanggan dan karyawan memanipulasi tagihan; (6) Banyak pegawai yang tamatan SMA dan SD. Untuk mengatasi salah satu kendala tersebut di atas adalah melalui Edukasi Pengamanan Air Bersih tentang tata cara penyimpanan air secara aman di tingkat rumah tangga yang diberikan kepada masyarakat pelanggan PDAM Tirta Kualo dengan materi penerapan kebiasaan masyarakat “Menampung Air Hujan” dengan cara sederhana namun sistem penyimpanan air yang memiliki kualitas dan kuantitas terjaga. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut adalah antusiasme masyarakat dalam melihat peluang untuk menerima ilmu tersebut cukup baik. Tim Pelaksana telah melaksanakan kegiatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Pengamanan Air di Kota Tanjungbalai, dimana pengabdi menjadi narasumber dalam kegiatan tersebut. Melalui program pemberdayaan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta: (1) Memahami konsep pengamanan air bersih di rumah tangga; (2) Memahami konsep perencanaan kawasan perkotaan yang akan mempengaruhi aktivitas masyarakat; (3) Termotivasi untuk membiasakan cara mengamankan air bersih dengan kebiasaan menampung air hujan melalui sistem penampungan air sederhana yang dapat dilakukan di rumah tangga.

Abstract

The development of sports infrastructure in the city of Medan is an important need to support the healthy and active lifestyle of its people. In this context, this research aims to analyze strategies for developing sports infrastructure in the Medan City area with a focus on increasing accessibility, quality of facilities and use of public spaces that support sports activities. The research method used is literature study to identify infrastructure needs, SWOT analysis to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in developing sports infrastructure in Medan City. The results of this research show that the development of sports infrastructure needs to be integrated with spatial planning policies and sustainable city development. It is hoped that this research can provide guidance for policy makers in formulating strategies for developing effective and sustainable sports infrastructure in the city of Medan.

Abstract

The market is a facility that accommodates people's activities in shopping to meet their daily needs. Padang Sidempuan City has many markets, one of which is the Sangkumpal Bonang Traditional Market which is one of the traditional markets in Padang Sidempuan City that has not been properly facilitated. The condition of the Sangkumpal Bonang Traditional Market is now far from the standard of a traditional market. The need for special development in the Development of the Sangkumpal Bonang Market in accordance with traditional market standards. This research aims to determine the direction of the development of the Bonang Sangkumpal Market in the City of Padang Sidempuan City. Abstract

Optimal organizational conditions in achieving the goals of government institutions must emphasize the role of job satisfaction and employee engagement as key variables that mediate the relationship between compensation and job satisfaction in the public sector. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the effect of Compensation on Job Satisfaction mediated by Employee Attachment at the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and the Community of Binjai City. This research was conducted with a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was all employees with a total of 61 people. The results of data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) showed that there was a significant influence between Compensation on Job Satisfaction, with a T-Statistic value of 3.659 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.001 < 0.05, which showed that increasing compensation could increase job satisfaction. In addition, Compensation also had a positive and significant effect on Employee Engagement, with a T-Statistic value of 17.432 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that an increase in compensation can significantly increase employee engagement. Furthermore, Employee Engagement has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction, with a T-Statistic value of 42.903 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.005 < 0.05, which means that an increase in employee engagement will significantly increase job satisfaction. On the indirect influence, a T-Statistic value of 2.760 > 1.96 with a P-Value of 0.008 < 0.05 was obtained, indicating that Employee Attachment was able to intervene in the influence between Compensation and Job Satisfaction. These results provide insight into how the intermediate variable of Employee Attachment can affect the relationship between Compensation to Job Satisfaction at the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and the Binjai City Community.

Abstract

Knowledge management in government institutions is essential to improve operational efficiency, innovation, and quality of public services, as well as ensure adaptability, transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to the needs of society in the era of globalization and increasingly fierce competition. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of Knowledge Management on the Culture of Knowledge Sharing mediated by the Leadership at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Binjai City. This research was conducted with a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was all employees with a total of 105 people. The results of data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) show that Knowledge Management has a positive and significant influence on Knowledge Sharing Culture, with T-statistical values of 2.973 > 1.96 and P-Values of 0.003 < 0.05, which means that an increase in Knowledge Management will significantly improve the Knowledge Sharing Culture. In addition, Knowledge Management also has a positive and significant effect on Leadership, shown by a T-statistical value of 78.253 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that improving Knowledge Management will significantly improve organizational leadership. Other findings showed that Leadership had a positive and significant effect on the Knowledge Sharing Culture, with a T-statistic value of 5.668 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that an increase in Leadership will significantly improve the Knowledge Sharing Culture. Indirect influence analysis showed that Leadership was able to intervene in the influence between Knowledge Management and Knowledge Sharing Culture, with a T-statistical value of 5.796 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.000 < 0.05. These results provide important insights that Leadership plays a significant intermediary variable in the relationship between Knowledge Management and Knowledge Sharing Culture at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Binjai City. These findings underscore the importance of integrating knowledge management strategies and leadership development to improve the culture of knowledge sharing in government institutions.

Abstract

A deep understanding of the relationship between empowering leadership styles, goal orientation, and proactive behavior of employees can be key to optimizing organizational performance in addressing sensitive issues related to women, children, and society more effectively. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of Empowerment leadership on Proactive Behavior mediated by the Orientation of the purpose at the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Community of Binjai City. This research was conducted with a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was all employees, with a total of 61 people. The results of data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) show that 1) There is no influence of Empowerment Leadership on proactive behavior. where the T-statistic value is 0.960 < 1.96 and the P-Value value is 0.341 > 0.05. 2) Empowerment Leadership has a positive and significant effect on goal orientation with a T-Statistical value of 2.256 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.028 < 0.05 which means that if the leadership Empowerment is improved, then employee goal orientation will increase.3) Empowerment Leadership has a positive and significant effect on goal orientation with a T-Statistical value of 2.256 > 1.96 and a P-Value value of 0.028 < 0.05 which means that if Empowerment leadership is improved, employee goal orientation will increase and 4) Goal orientation is able to mediate the influence between Empowerment Leadership and Proactive Behavior with a T-Statistic value of 2.300 > 1.96 and a P-Value of 0.025 < 0.05. The implication of these findings is that management needs to consider implementing appropriate goal-oriented development strategies, along with empowerment leadership practices, to create a work environment that supports and encourages productive and innovative proactive behaviorsLeadership Empowerment

Abstract

A conducive organizational climate and its influence on employee performance, job satisfaction, motivation, and commitment are essential in improving organizational performance. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of organizational climate on employee commitment mediated by job satisfaction and motivation at PT. Media Teknik Persada. This research was conducted with a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was all employees at PT. Media Teknik Persada with a total of 67 people. The results of data analysis of this study show that the organizational climate has no influence on employee commitment with a T-statistical value of 0.416 < 1.96 and a P-value of 0.678 > 0.05). However, a conducive organizational climate had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction with a T-statistical value of 18.076 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05 and motivation with a T-statistical value of 11.773 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Job satisfaction had no effect on employee commitment with a T-statistical value of 0.901 < 1.96 and a P-value of 0.371 > 0.05. Job satisfaction was also unable to intervene in the influence of organizational climate on employee commitment with a T-statistical value of 0.912 < 1.96 and a P-value of 0.365 > 0.05). On the other hand, work motivation had a positive and significant influence on employee commitment with a T-statistical value of 5.802 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05) and was able to intervene in the influence of organizational climate on employee commitment with a T-statistical value of 4.401 > 1.96 and a P-value of 0.000 < 0.05). These findings imply that organizations need to improve, pay attention to, maintain, and improve the organizational climate to create a comfortable atmosphere for employees, which in turn increases employee motivation and commitment.

Abstract

Empowerment leadership, which provides authority and support to subordinates, will improve employee intrinsic motivation as well as organizational performance. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of Empowerment Leadership on Intrinsic Motivation mediated by Psychological Empowerment at the Binjai City Environmental Office. This research was conducted with a causal associative quantitative approach. The sample used was all employees with a total of 75 people. The results of data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) showed that empowerment leadership did not have a significant influence on intrinsic motivation (T-statistic 0.985 < 1.96; P-value 0.328 > 0.05), which indicates that improving empowerment leadership does not directly increase employee intrinsic motivation. However, empowerment leadership had a positive and significant effect on psychological empowerment (T-statistic 43,372 > 1.96; P-value 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that improved empowerment leadership significantly improved employee psychological empowerment. Furthermore, psychological empowerment had a positive and significant effect on intrinsic motivation (T-statistic 4.848 > 1.96; P-value 0.000 < 0.05), which means that increased psychological empowerment significantly increases intrinsic motivation. Indirect influence analysis showed that psychological empowerment was able to intervene in the influence between empowerment leadership and intrinsic motivation (T-statistic 4.747 > 1.96; P-value 0.000 < 0.05). These findings provide insight that psychological empowerment plays a significant mediator role in the relationship between empowerment leadership and intrinsic motivation, emphasizing the importance of psychological empowerment in increasing employee intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

Industrial estates in the northern region of Medan City are currently developing close to community settlements, which have the potential to have a negative impact on the environment and public health. These impacts include air and noise pollution, water and soil pollution, declining property values, increased crime problems, and environmental damage. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study on the suitability of industrial estates to the carrying capacity of the environment. This study aims to assess the suitability of industrial estates with the Carrying Capacity and Carrying Capacity of Ecosystem Services-Based Environment. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive, which describes environmental characteristics and the phenomenon of industrial estate development. The results of the study show variations in land suitability in the northern region of Medan City. In Medan Belawan District, most of the land (1,566.22 hectares) is not suitable for industrial estates, while in Medan Deli, most of the land (1,358.26 hectares) is very suitable. Medan Labuhan District is dominated by suitable land (2,157.42 hectares), while Medan Marelan has an even distribution between very suitable and suitable land. In coastal reclamation areas, most of the land (262.46 hectares) is not suitable.
