Abstract

Based on research data on women's reproductive health, it shows that 75% of women in the world must suffer from vaginal discharge, at least once in their life. Treatment of external genitalia that is not good will be a trigger for vaginal discharge. The fact is that many young women do not understand and care about how to care for their reproductive organs. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the behavior of maintaining external genetalia cleanliness and vaginal discharge in high school students of SMAN 3 Pangkalpinang in 2016. This research method was a descriptive analytic survey with a cross sectional design, this study was conducted on 26-31 May 2016, the population of this study was 156 female students and a total sample of 125 students of class X and XI SMAN 3 Pangkalpinang 2016. Data was collected by filling out a guided questionnaire that had been tested, sampling using quota sampling and univariate and bivariate data analysis using the chi square test with degrees of confidence 95%. The test results showed that there was a significant relationship between the behavior of maintaining external genetalia cleanliness and vaginal discharge, namely knowledge (p = 0.000, POR = 6.375), attitude (p = 0.000, POR = 5.189), action (p = 0.001, POR = 5.280), The most dominant relationship with leucorrhoea is knowledge (POR: 6,375).

Abstract

Based on WHO data, that only 44% of newborns in the world get breast milk within the first hour from birth, there are still a few babies under the age of 6 months who are exclusively breastfed. The 2020 National Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) revealed that in Indonesia with a prevalence of 65.7% and the Coverage of IMD babies in Bangka Belitung province was 77.57%, down compared to 2019 (80.11%). One effort that can be used to increase milk production is using the acupressure technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acupressure therapy on increasing milk production in postpartum mothers. The design uses a quasi-experimental method with pretest and posttest design without control group. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the number of respondents 20 postpartum. Univariate and bivariate data analysis. The results showed that p value is 0,000 (p < 0,05) on t-test. This proves that there is a significant difference in increasing milk production in postpartum mothers between before and after acupressure therapy. It is recommended for midwives to perform acupressure as a complement in postnatal midwifery care regarding the problem of increasing milk production in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

PRM is one of the causes of the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). In Indonesia, the incidence of PRM ranges from 8-10% of all pregnancies. The PRM rate reaches 3-10% of childbirth. In general, this study aims to find out the factors related to the incidence of premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women at Bakti Timah Hospital, Pangkalpinang City in 2023. This study uses a quantitative method with a Case Control design. The instrument used was secondary data from medical records at Bakti Timah Hospital, Pangkalpinang City. The population of this study is all mothers giving birth at Bakti Timah Hospital in 2023, the number of samples of 146 people consists of 73 case groups (mothers giving birth with PRM) and 73 control groups (mothers giving birth without PRM). Sampling was done using Nonprobability sampling techniques. The statistical test used is the Chi Square test. The result showed that there was a meaningful relationship between maternal age, namely 2,859 times at risk, parity at 2,936 times at risk, and occupation at 2,898 times at risk and KPD history 5,867 times at risk of experiencing PRM in pregnant women at Bakti Timah Hospital, Pangkalpinang City in 2023. The result of the study are expected to be used as input to improve the quality of services for pregnant and maternity women so that they can reduce the incidence of PRM and at the same time reduce the maternal mortality rate. Abstract

Adolescence is a period between the ages of 12-21, marking the transition from childhood to adulthood, which in females is often characterized by dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea can occur due to an increase in prostaglandins, causing uterine muscles to contract, leading to cramps in the lower abdomen, back, and legs. Dysmenorrhea pain can be managed through pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, such as Mozart classical music therapy. Mozart classical music has positive effects on health and those who listen to it. With a duration of 15-20 minutes, the Mozart classical music piece Sonata in D for Two Pianos, K. 448, with a tempo of 60-80 beats per minute, can help listeners relax. Its harmonized rhythms generate alpha and beta waves in the eardrum, providing a calming and relaxing effect, potentially reducing pain and promoting relaxation. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Mendo Barat with 33 respondents. This research employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Before the Mozart classical music therapy was administered, most respondents experienced moderate dysmenorrhea with pain levels of 4, 5, and 6. The study results showed that after two sessions of Mozart classical music therapy, each lasting 15 minutes over two days, the average pain level of the respondents decreased to levels 1 and 2. This indicates that Mozart classical music therapy can reduce primary dysmenorrhea in adolescent girl.
