Abstract

This report presents the implementation of a Field Work Lecture (KKL) program focused on enhancing entrepreneurial mindset, skills, and actions in Galang Baru Sub-district, Galang District, Batam City, Riau Islands Province. The primary issue addressed is the limited entrepreneurial orientation among the local community, particularly in utilizing available local resources. Despite the area's considerable potential to foster entrepreneurship, the prevailing challenges include a lack of entrepreneurial mindset, insufficient technical competencies, and minimal concrete efforts to initiate business ventures. The KKL program aimed to provide targeted education and training to strengthen the quality of human resources capable of engaging in entrepreneurship. Conducted over two days, from May 17 to May 18, 2025, the program involved 32 participating students. The methodological approach emphasized community engagement, prioritizing the development of three core entrepreneurial elements: mindset, skills, and practical action. The implementation process included field observation, preparation of outreach materials, community engagement, training sessions, and mentorship for locally owned businesses. The results of the program indicate a substantial improvement in community awareness of entrepreneurial thinking, with an increase from 40% to 85%. Similarly, mastery of entrepreneurial skills rose from 20% to 70%. Furthermore, 70% of participants demonstrated tangible entrepreneurial initiatives, either individually or in groups. These outcomes affirm that an integrated approach—encompassing mindset development, skill enhancement, and actionable initiatives—can effectively promote sustainable economic empowerment at the local level..

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of occupational safety (X1), leadership (X2), and work discipline (X3) on employee performance (Y) at PT. Seven Clean Seas Batam. A quantitative research design was employed using a survey method, with purposive sampling applied to select 54 respondents who met the study criteria. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on employee performance. The findings indicate that partially, occupational safety (X1) has a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.027 (< 0.05), while leadership (X2) does not show a significant effect, with a significance value of 0.786 (> 0.05). Work discipline (X3) has a strong and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). When analyzed simultaneously, occupational safety, leadership, and work discipline together significantly influence employee performance (F = 134.284, sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.890, indicating that 89% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three factors. This study emphasizes the importance of enhancing occupational safety and work discipline to improve employee performance, while leadership should be further investigated for its indirect or moderating effects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kerjasama tim, kemampuan kerja, kualitas kerja, dan pengawasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Hongyuan New Material Batam, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif kausal. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 113 karyawan dengan sampel sebanyak 88 responden yang ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin dan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert lima poin yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial kerjasama tim (t=3,340; sig=0,001), kemampuan kerja (t=4,124; sig=0,000), dan kualitas kerja (t=4,512; sig=0,000) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sementara itu, pengawasan kerja (t=1,396; sig=0,161) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Secara simultan, keempat variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai F-hitung sebesar 78,700 (sig=0,000) dan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,759 atau 75,9%. Implikasi penelitian ini menyarankan agar perusahaan memperkuat aspek kerjasama tim, kemampuan kerja, dan kualitas kerja melalui program pelatihan, pengembangan kompetensi, dan budaya kolaboratif untuk mencapai kinerja organisasi yang optimal.
