Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital literacy and adaptable culture on lecturer performance, with servant leadership as a mediating variable. The Institute of Information Technology and Business executed the study, with several lecturers participating as responders. Digital literacy is a crucial component in the age of technological transition, whereas adaptable culture signifies an institution’s capacity to adjust to evolving environmental conditions. This study proposes that servant leadership, prioritizing service-oriented leadership, mediates the association among digital literacy, adaptable culture, and lecturer performance. This study uses a validated questionnaire to gather data through a quantitative methodology and survey technique. We employ route analysis methodologies to examine the interrelationships among variables. The study’s outcomes are anticipated to elucidate how digital literacy and adaptable culture might enhance professor performance by reinforcing servant leadership conduct. These findings hold significant implications for formulating higher education policies, particularly in addressing the challenges of the digital age and the intricacies of the professional landscape. This study offers theoretical contributions by enhancing the comprehension of the interplay between digital literacy, corporate culture, and leadership within an academic framework.

Abstract

Investment decisions in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) are influenced by fundamental analysis and stock price fluctuations. Stock prices reflect market perceptions shaped by profitability, liquidity, and capital structure. This study examines the effects of Return on Assets (ROA), Current Ratio (CR), and Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) on stock prices, both partially and simultaneously. Using a quantitative approach, the study analyzes secondary data from audited financial statements and stock prices of 12 pharmaceutical companies during 2022–2024, totaling 36 observations. Panel data regression with EViews 12 is applied. Results show that ROA and DER have positive and significant effects on stock prices, while CR has a negative but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly influence stock prices, with an adjusted R² of 73%, indicating strong explanatory power. Profitability (ROA) is the most influential factor, followed by capital structure (DER), while liquidity (CR) shows no significant impact.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality, price, and promotion on customer satisfaction at Boy Supermarket Batam. The background of this research is based on the importance of customer satisfaction in enhancing customer loyalty and maintaining competitiveness in the increasingly competitive retail industry. The independent variables in this study are service quality, price, and promotion, while the dependent variable is customer satisfaction. This research employs a quantitative method with descriptive and associative approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to customers of Boy Supermarket Batam. The data analysis techniques used include validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, and F-test. The results show that partially, service quality, price, and promotion have an effect on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, these three variables also have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. The descriptive analysis indicates that all variables are in a good category; however, several aspects still need improvement, such as service consistency, price competitiveness, and promotion intensity. The conclusion of this study is that service quality, price, and promotion are important factors in shaping customer satisfaction. Therefore, management is recommended to improve service quality consistently, maintain price transparency and competitiveness, and enhance promotional effectiveness in order to increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of work discipline, occupational safety and health, and work environment on employee performance at PT Armada Lintas Samudra. The study used a quantitative approach with PT Armada Lintas Samudra as the research object. The population consisted of 37 permanent employees, and all of them were selected as the sample using total sampling. Data were collected through an online closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and were analyzed using SPSS. The analysis techniques included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by a significance value of 0.011. Occupational safety and health also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.026. However, work environment did not have a significant partial effect on employee performance, as its significance value was 0.103. Simultaneously, work discipline, occupational safety and health, and work environment had a significant effect on employee performance, with an F-value of 12.101 and a significance value of 0.000. The model explained 48.1% of the variation in employee performance. These findings indicate that improving employee performance requires strengthening work discipline and optimizing occupational safety and health implementation within the company.

Abstract

The construction industry is one of the most environmentally intensive sectors, making green innovation an essential strategy for improving environmental sustainability and organizational competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the effects of organizational climate, corporate governance, and employee intellectual capability on green innovation, as well as to examine the moderating role of green transformational leadership in construction companies in Batam City, Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. Data were collected from 82 employees working in construction firms through purposive sampling and measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings indicate that organizational climate, corporate governance, and employee intellectual capability each have a positive and significant effect on green innovation, with employee intellectual capability emerging as the strongest predictor. Green transformational leadership also has a direct positive effect on green innovation. However, it does not significantly moderate the relationship between organizational climate, corporate governance, employee intellectual capability, and green innovation. These results suggest that internal organizational factors and employee capacity play a central role in encouraging green innovation. The study concludes that strengthening intellectual capability, fostering a supportive organizational climate, and implementing sound corporate governance are key strategies for promoting green innovation in construction companies.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of drug availability, location, and service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Toko Obat Zahwa Batam. The phenomenon underlying this research is a significant decline of 23.3% in transactions at Toko Obat Zahwa over three years (2022–2024). A quantitative approach with survey method was employed, involving 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS 26. The results indicate that drug availability has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 5.390; sig. = .000), service quality has a positive and significant effect (t = 4.700; sig. = .000), while location does not significantly influence purchasing decisions (t = –0.556; sig. = .579). Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect purchasing decisions (F = 38.203; sig. = .000) and explain 53.0% of the variance (Adjusted R² = .530). The dominant influence of drug availability confirms the need-driven nature of pharmaceutical retail purchases, while the non-significant effect of location reflects habitual buying behavior among loyal consumers. These findings provide practical implications for independent drug store management in competitive markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of egalitarian leadership, responsibility, and teacher work discipline on teacher performance with the moderation of psychological empowerment at Qur'anic Education Institutions (TPQ) in Bengkong District, Batam. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS software. The population comprised all TPQ teachers in Bengkong District, with a sample of 84 teachers selected by proportionate random sampling. Teacher performance was assessed by TPQ principals to enhance objectivity. Results revealed that work discipline is the strongest predictor of teacher performance (coefficient 0.454; T=4.370; p=0.000), followed by responsibility (coefficient 0.254; T=2.557; p=0.011), and psychological empowerment (coefficient 0.232; T=1.992; p=0.047). Egalitarian leadership showed no significant direct effect (p=0.720). Psychological empowerment did not significantly moderate the relationships between the three independent variables and teacher performance. The model demonstrated very high predictive power with R Square of 0.929. This study implies that strengthening work discipline and responsibility are priority strategies for improving TPQ teacher performance.
