Abstract

This study examines the factors affecting the sustainability of Afghanistan's natural resources, aiming to provide a framework for sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and strategic planning models, key factors such as organizational structure, management, economic, social, cultural, and ecological aspects were identified and prioritized. The findings indicate that organizational and managerial structure is the most critical factor, accounting for 38% of the overall importance. The research underscores the necessity for integrated and systematic management of natural resources to enhance economic and social well-being. It also emphasizes strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation as essential components for effective resource management. A proposed model for sustainable natural resource management includes community empowerment, knowledge integration, economic viability, and improved communication among stakeholders. The study suggests that Afghanistan can develop its natural resources sustainably by leveraging strengths and opportunities while addressing weaknesses and threats. A comprehensive understanding of the various influencing factors and their interactions is vital for designing an effective model for sustainable management. This research contributes to the discourse on sustainable development in Afghanistan, providing actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in the natural resource sector.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of slang on social identity formation among teenagers in the digital era. With the rise of digital communication platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp, slang has become an essential tool for teenagers to express themselves and navigate social relationships. This qualitative study combines semi-structured interviews and content analysis of social media interactions to investigate how teenagers use slang to construct their online identities. The findings reveal that slang is a crucial marker of group membership, reinforcing social bonds and facilitating resistance to societal norms. Teenagers associate their use of slang with belonging to specific peer groups and online subcultures. The study also highlights the role of digital spaces in shaping the evolution of slang and identity. The implications of these findings suggest that educators and parents should recognize the role of slang in adolescent development and digital communication. Future research should explore the cross-cultural variations of slang and its long-term impact on identity formation among teenagers.

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health concern, particularly in rural areas where socio-economic and environmental factors exacerbate the problem. This study aims to analyze the risk factors contributing to stunting in early childhood and propose effective prevention strategies tailored to rural contexts. Utilizing a descriptive-analytic approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 300 households through structured questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and direct observations. Logistic regression analysis identified maternal education, household income, dietary diversity, and sanitation access as critical determinants of stunting. Qualitative data highlighted economic pressures and limited nutritional knowledge as additional barriers. The findings emphasize the importance of integrated, community-driven interventions focusing on maternal education, exclusive breastfeeding, and improved sanitation. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive framework for addressing stunting in rural areas and offers actionable recommendations for policymakers and community stakeholders. Future studies should explore the long-term impact of these interventions and the role of cultural dynamics in sustaining their effectiveness.

Abstract

Reproductive health education in secondary schools is very important considering the increasing rate of teenage pregnancy and the low knowledge of reproductive health among adolescents. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of reproductive health education programs implemented in these schools. This study aims to identify the materials taught, teaching methods used, as well as students' responses and perceptions of the reproductive health education program. The methods used in this study include in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) with 60 students from three secondary schools in X city. Data were collected over two months and analyzed to find relevant patterns and themes. Findings showed that the education program improved students' knowledge of reproductive health, but there were challenges such as social stigma and variations in the quality of teaching. Students reported increased confidence and better understanding of reproductive health topics. Reproductive health education programs in secondary schools have significant potential to improve adolescent understanding, but improvements in materials, teaching methods, and social environmental support are needed to achieve optimal results.
