Abstract

Introduction: Nurse performance plays a vital role in determining the quality of healthcare services and hospital outcomes. Various factors, including education level, work motivation, and the work environment, have been identified as key determinants influencing nurses’ ability to deliver optimal nursing care. However, disparities in nurse performance and increasing service demands highlight the need for empirical analysis of these factors within hospital settings. Objective: Nurses are professionals who possess intellectual, technical, interpersonal, and moral abilities, are responsible for, and have the authority to provide nursing care in health services. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education, work motivation, and work environment on nurse performance at RSUD Junjung Besaoh, Bangka Selatan Regency, in 2025. Method: This study used a cross-sectional design with independent variables (education, work motivation, and work environment) and dependent variables (nurse performance). The sample size was 61, and the study period was July 7–13, 2025. Result: The results of the study using the Chi-Square Test were as follows: education p-value 0.000 <0.05, work motivation p-value 0.003 <0.05, and work environment p-value 0.000 <0.05. This indicates a significant relationship between education, work motivation, and the work environment on nurse performance at RSUD Junjung Besaoh, Bangka Selatan Regency in 2025. Conclusion: This study are expected to benefit researchers in broadening their knowledge and insights, and serve as reference material for further research and development in the application of nursing care.

Abstract

Introduction: International vaccination services are part of public health services that support international mobility. As a service provider, Port Health Office is required to deliver high-quality services oriented toward user satisfaction. However, complaints are still found, indicating a gap between users’ expectations and the services received. Objective: This study aims to analyze complaints from users of international vaccination services at BKK Pangkalpinang and their relationship with service quality. Method: This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Informants were selected purposively and consisted of service users, service officers, and management representatives. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document review, and were analyzed thematically using the Donabedian framework, which includes structure, process, and outcome. Data trustworthiness was ensured through triangulation and member checking. Result: The findings indicate that user complaints are influenced by structural and process-related aspects of service delivery. Structural issues include limitations in facilities and the number of service personnel, while process-related issues involve waiting time, clarity of service flow, and staff communication. These complaints have an impact on user dissatisfaction. Conclusion: The study concludes that improving service quality requires strengthening structural and process components, as well as enhancing an effective complaint-handling mechanism.

Abstract

Introduction : Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience a decline in physical and psychosocial functioning, which negatively impacts their quality of life. One of the main issues frequently encountered is chronic fatigue, as well as weak family support, which should serve as a key pillar in helping patients adapt to their chronic condition. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between fatigue and family support with the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at Bakti Timah Hospital Pangkalpinang in 2025. Method: This research used a quantitative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 36 respondents selected using total sampling. The instruments used in the study were fatigue, family support, and quality of life questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Result: The results showed a significant relationship between fatigue and quality of life (p = 0.016; POR = 4.094; 95% CI: 1.385–12.104), and also a significant relationship between family support and quality of life (p = 0.033; POR = 0.771; 95% CI: 0.269–2.208). These findings indicate that the lower the fatigue level and the stronger the family support, the better the patient's quality of life Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that both fatigue and family support play an important role in the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis. Promotive and preventive efforts in fatigue management and increased family involvement are highly recommended in nursing practice
