Abstract

Climate change can cause an increase in sea temperatures which will have an impact on sea level rise due to the expansion of sea water volume and melting ice at the poles. Rising sea levels pose a threat to areas in coastal and coastal areas, one of which is Medan Belawan District. One of the impacts is tidal flooding. Tidal floods caused by high tides are then exacerbated by the phenomenon of rising sea levels so that it becomes a factor in increasing tidal flood inundation. The purpose of this study is to analyze sea level rise in Medan Belawan District by processing tidal data for 2012-2022 and sea level anomalies for 1993-2022 in the rate of sea level rise. The method used to calculate the tidal component uses the Admiralty method, sea level rise uses the linear regression method. The results of this study show that the value of sea level rise based on tidal data is 0.22 mm/year and 4.5 mm/year based on altimetry satellite data.

Abstract

Rigid pavement is one of the main works in the construction of toll road projects, which has a large volume and a certain work time. This requires high productivity in ready-mix concrete to support the work. PT. PP Presisi (Tbk), as one of the subcontractors for the Indrapura-Kisaran Trans Sumatra Toll Road Project, uses a Batching Plant (BP) to produce ready-mix concrete. It is hoped that establishing a Batching Plant (BP) will not only be able to supply concrete but also reduce the planned project budget. One of the factors that supports achieving this is selecting the right location. This study uses the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to determine the most appropriate location by determining five criteria, 14 sub-criteria, and three alternative locations. This method uses a decision matrix where the best alternative result is the one with the closest distance to the positive ideal solution and the farthest distance to the negative ideal solution. Based on the calculation results, the weight of each alternative is obtained, namely location 1 (0,810), location 2 (0,900), and location 3 (0,159), so that the best alternative location is location 2.

Abstract

Good project management in the process of implementing private residential buildings, private buildings, and infrastructure buildings intended for the public interest, is one of the factors for the progress of a country. The study focused on the construction of the Regina Maris hospital in Medan, which is one of the developments in the complex category. The purpose of this study is to provide the results of an analysis of the development in order to achieve goals or targets that can provide efficient use of time, cost and quality which are considered to be the main supporting factors in a development. The research was carried out with three main activity stages, namely the identification stage, the data compilation stage and problem analysis and the use of the Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) method to analyze the optimization of work implementation schedules. The identification stage was carried out in the study area, beginning with observing the condition of the construction implementation, and deepening the identification of environmental conditions or internal/external factors that could hinder work. The results of the identification stage, accompanied by identification of problems and factors that can hinder work, are then used as initial data from the preparation stage of optimizing work implementation schedules using the Precedence Diagram Method

Abstract

This study will look for the ultimate bearing capacity value of bored pile foundation and foundation subsidence, based on SPT data and loading test calculated empirically with SPT data using equations provided by O'Neil and Reese while loading test data using curve interpretation Davidson Method, Mazurkiewich Method, Chin Method and finite element method using 2D Plaxis software with all types of medium mesh. After analysis, the ultimate bored pile carrying capacity value of ΓΈ 80 cm based on SPT data using the O'neill and Reese equations was 1242 tons, then analysis using the Davisson method of 875 tons, using the Mazurkiewiech method of 960 tons and the Chin method of 876 tons. While the ultimate carrying capacity based on PLAXIS 2D calculations is 1364 tons. 5. Based on SPT data, the carrying capacity of a single bored pile axial permit (Qi) was obtained at 497 tons with SF = 2.5. And for the value of the decrease that occurs in the bored pile foundation based on analytical results is 22.85 mm, based on the loading test is 7.95 mm and based on the PLAXIS 2D program is 14.12 mm. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the O'Neil and Reese equations provide a greater value than the interpretation of load testing so that it will provide a large safety value if used when design and descent analysis that is closest to the results in the field is analysis with 2D PLAXIS with the Mohr-Coulomb modeling type. There are differences in carrying and lowering capacity analysis results with several methods used, but the use of analytical methods and finite element methods with PLAXIS 2D meets the safety requirements of bored pile foundations.
