Abstract

Currently, there is an urgency for the need for quality animal feed that can meet the needs of all farmers. One way to overcome this is to design an efficient tool to produce quality animal feed. This study aims to design and build an IoT-based maggot dryer to increase the efficiency of the maggot drying process. Maggots, larvae of the Black Soldier Fly, are a potential alternative source of protein for livestock and fish feed. The tool designed uses a DS18B20 sensor to detect temperature and heat the maggots automatically using a Tubular Heater. This tool can be controlled remotely and provides notification when the drying process is complete by utilizing IoT. The method used is procedural development with testing carried out on several parameters such as temperature and drying time. The results of the study showed that the IoT-based maggot dryer is more efficient than the manual drying method because it can reduce the time and energy required, and produce high-quality dry maggots. This tool is expected to help farmers improve the quality and quantity of maggot production.

Abstract

Bawang merah adalah salah satu dari banyaknya komoditas pertanian strategis dan penting di Indonesia, Selain menumbuhkan perekonomian dibidang pertanian bawang merah juga menjadi salah satu peluang usaha disektor makanan, hal ini dibuktikan dengan menjamurnya UMKM bawang goreng. Salah satu proses produksi bawang goreng yaitu proses pengirisan, demi memudahkan pengirisan perlu inovasi pengiris bawang merah otomatis berbasis teknologi modern. Perancangan kali ini difokuskan pada sistem penggerak mekanik pada mesin perajang bawang merah berbasis arduino uno dan sensor ultrasonic, sistem mekanik pada mesin perajang bawang merah ini memiliki komponen yaitu, motor listrik 0,25 hp, 2800 rpm dilengkapi pisau pemotong yang digerakkan oleh v-belt dan pulley, dengan pulley motor 25mm dan pulley pisau 250mm dengan perhitungan putaran pisau 425rpm, panjang v-belt 710mm dengan tipe M-28 yang dihubungkan oleh poros diameter 1,5mm dan terdapat 2 bantalan dengan tipe UCP 204 dengan estimasi jam kerja 553.516,34 jam, dilengkapi sistem otomatisasi arduino uno dan sensor ultrasonic.

Abstract

The product supporting the performance of shallot farmers is an automatic shallot plant watering tool used to make the watering process on shallots more effective. The tool automatically waters shallot plants based on the soil moisture level detected by the soil moisture sensor so that the watering process becomes more efficient in watering time and the work saves more human energy and water. The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the effectiveness of the automatic watering tool on shallot plants, and (2) to determine the soil moisture level needed by shallot plants. The method used is a quantitative research method with t-test analysis. The results of the test based on the duration of watering and water usage obtained an automatic watering tool 3.74 s faster than manual watering and an automatic watering tool 5.67 l more efficient than manual watering. This shows that the automatic watering tool for shallot plants using a soil moisture sensor and gsm module is more effective and makes it easier for shallot farmers compared to manual watering for farmers.

Abstract

Sebagian besar masyarakat di Indonesia merupakan petani yang memiliki lahan sawah atau perkebunan untuk menanam berbagai jenis tanaman termasuk bawang merah. Tanah yang bagus dan subur adalah salah satu faktor penting bagi tanaman bawang merah untuk tumbuh dengan baik dan menghasilkan hasil yang berkualitas. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara kepada petani bawang merah di Desa Mlorah Kec. Rejoso Kab. Nganjuk, proses penyiraman bawang merah di Desa Mlorah masih menggunakan proses penyiraman bawang merah masih secara manual sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Hal ini menjadi salah alasan membuat penyiram tanaman otomatis yang dilengkapi dengan sensor kelembaban dan modul GSM untuk memonitoring pompa dan kelembaban tanah. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan prosedural. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rancang bangun alat penyiram tanaman otomatis berbasis sensor moisture soil dan modul GSM. Alat penyiram tanaman otomatis ini memiliki keunggulan dapat dikontrol menggunakan Arduino Uno dimana sensor moisture soil akan mendeteksi kelembaban tanah, apabila tanah kering relay akan mengaliri arus pompa dan pompa menyiram bawang merah secara otomatis. Alat ini juga dapat dimonitoring kelembabannya menggunakan modul GSM.

Abstract

Controlling the temperature of pond water is an important factor in cultivating gourami fish, because inappropriate temperatures can cause stress and make fish susceptible to disease. Temperatures that are too high or too low can disrupt fish metabolism, slow growth, and even cause death. This study aims to design and build an IoT-based water temperature monitoring and regulation tool in gourami fish ponds. This tool is expected to make it easier for farmers to monitor and regulate pond water temperature automatically and in real-time via a website, thereby reducing the risk of disease in gourami fish. The research methods used include hardware and software design, temperature sensor testing, and implementation of an IoT-based system for monitoring and regulating temperature. The results of the study show that this tool can detect and stabilize water temperature automatically based on the measured temperature level, provide real-time information, and facilitate the process of monitoring pond water temperature.

Abstract

Proses pemberian pakan ikan secara teratur merupakan hal krusial dalam budidaya ikan modern untuk memastikan kesehatan dan pertumbuhan ikan yang optimal agar panen yang dihasilkan menjadi melimpah. Produk penunjang kinerja petani ikan yaitu alat pemberi pakan otomatis untuk mengefektifkan proses pemberian pakan ikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui rancang bangun dan sistem kerja pemberi pakan ikan menggunakan ESP32 berbasis IoT. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) alat dapat mengeluarkan pakan sesuai jadwal pemberian pakan yang sudah ditentukan, dapat disetting ketika manual icon on off di webs server dan ketika auto terdapat dua waktu yang dapat diatur sendiri sesuai keinginan yaitu pada pukul 07.00 WIB dan 16.00 WIB; (2) dalam kondisi manual dengan delay secara aktual dalam 1 menit pada saat motor pakan dan motor penyebar aktif maka maksimal memperoleh nilai putaran motor sebanyak 660 putaran dengan jarak pelontar 2,5m dikarenakan semakin lama motor bergerak maka putaran motor akan semakin cepat. Hal ini menunjukkan pemberi pakan ikan menggunakan ESP32 berbasis IoT efektif mengeluarkan pakan sesuai jadwal pemberian pakan dan menunjang kinerja petani ikan.

Abstract

Teknologi ini merupakan sebuah perangkat pemberian pakan ikan yang memiliki kemudahan penggunaan serta membantu mengurangi beban kerja peternak ikan gurame. Dengan demikian, proses pemberian pakan menjadi lebih praktis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengidentifikasi efektivitas alat pemberi pakan ikan gurame secara otomatis berdasarkan jarak penyebaran pakan yang dihasilkan dibandingkan dengan metode manual. 2)Mengevaluasi kinerja alat pemberi pakan ikan otomatis dengan membandingkan jumlah pakan yang dihasilkan dengan metode manual. Metodologi penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan pengembangan yang terdiri dari lima tahap: analisis data (kuantitatif), hipotesis, pengujian, pengambilan keputusan, dan penyimpulan. Hasil pengujian berdasarkan jarak rata-rata penyebaran pakan sebesar 2,9225m untuk otomatis dan 2,97m untuk manual. Sedangkan berdasarkan massa pakan yang keluar sebesar 242,1 gram untuk otomatis dan 242,3 gram untuk manual. Alat ini mempunyai dua mode yaitu manual dan otomatis jadi rata-rata dari keduanya hampir sama namun, untuk manual peternak gurame harus tombol menekan di web untuk mengaktifkan, sedangkan yang otomatis peternak gurame hanya perlu mengatur jam di web maka alat akan berjalan sesuai jam dan penundaan yang telah diatur. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa alat pemberi pakan ikan gurame otomatis menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 berbasis IoT/Telegram.

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, a Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) is implemented for automatic classification of power quality disturbances. The MSA technique is a way of arranging the three or  more sequences of PQ disturbance. This technique can be use to identify regions of similarity between the sequences. The similarity is achieved at the smallest error of alignment. Aligned sequences of PQ disturbance are typically represented as a matrix. Twelve types of PQ disturbances based on IEEE are considered for the classification. The simulation results show that the Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) can effectively detect and classify different PQ disturbances.   Keywords: Multiple Sequence Alignment, Detection and classification of power quality disturbances.

Abstract

For farmers onion, red onion quality is required to be maintained and prioritized, as the quality affect the selling price in the market. There are three types of quality of onion, which is of high quality red onion, red onion, medium quality and low quality onion. The third quality of onion was always found in every harvest, only a percentage of each crop are changing in every quality. Onion have lower quality will have a selling price is also very low, this has resulted in farmers losing money if yields lower quality onions have a high percentage. The best way to overcome the loss factor is to cultivate the red onion into a low-quality food products of high quality, so for that tool "PEBMO" is a solution to overcome the problems of onion farmers. Tools "PEBMO" designed to be able to make high quality products fried onions. This tool is designed to have 3 working system, ie peeler onion, red onion chopper, and oil drainer. With the tool "PEBMO" farmers can cultivate shallots low quality products easily and quickly, because farmers do not need to be difficult to peel and chop the onion using the manual method. In addition the tool is equipped with a tool that prevents the oil drainer fried onion products are completely free of oil and durable. Besides these tools also make fried onion products more hygienic and healthier because they have low levels of oil content. So with the "PEBMO" can improve the quality of low red onion into food products with high quality and price.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using portable electric motor control trainer media on increasing creative thinking skills and critical thinking skills in electrical engineering students. This research is an experimental study using Pretest-Posttest group design. The subject of the study is electrical engineering students at Nusantara University, PGRI Kediri consisting of 27 students. The level of creativity is measured through aspects of fluency, flexibility, authenticity, and elaboration, while aspects of critical thinking ability are by giving simple explanations, building basic skills, giving further explanation, applying strategies and techniques, and concluding. The study determines the increase in creative and critical thinking skills using N-Gain analysis. The result shows that: 1) the students' creative thinking skills are increased by learning using a portable type electric motor control trainer media that was categorized high on aspects of fluency and elaboration, and categorized based on aspects of flexibility and authenticity; 2) the students' critical thinking skills increase after participating in learning by using portable type electric motor control trainer media which is high in the aspects of elementary classification, inference, strategy and tactics, and categorized based on the aspects of basic support and advanced classification.
