Abstract

This research discusses the dissemination of education policy by looking at the responses and insights of students, lecturers, and education staff at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar towards the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). The biggest challenge in implementing educational policies in higher education is the percentage of understanding of the academic community and their readiness to implement education policy packages implemented by the government. In this study, a qualitative method was used by using a case study at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. The data was obtained from the results of a survey to students, lecturers, and education staff conducted by the MBKM Grant Team of the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar through a survey platform and survey questions facilitated by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia starting on 18-22 December 2021. The results of the survey processed using the Nvivo application. There have been various responses regarding the Independent Learning-Kampus Merdeka Program and it can be concluded that the dissemination of the MBKM policy still needs to be maximized, because there are still many educators and students who do not know the nature of the policy.

Abstract

Perilaku komunikasi toxic friendship merupakan bagian dari proses komunikasi yang dialami oleh kalangan sesama mahasiswa. Pola komunikasi ini menggunakan bahasa yang tidak/kurang baik serta disertai dengan tindakan buruk. Hal ini memengaruhi perilaku komunikasi mereka, baik komunikasi secara verbal maupun nonverbal. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku komunikasi Toxic Friendship dengan teman sebaya melalui pesan verbal dan nonverbal dan Untuk mengetahui dampak perilaku komunikasi Toxic Friendship dengan teman sebaya pada mahasiswa Fisip Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yaitu peneliti berusaha mengungkapkan suatu realita atau fakta fenomena sosial. sumber data yang digunakan yaitu sumber data primer dan sekunder dengan  jumlah Informan sebanyak 10 orang mahasiswa. Teknik untuk memperoleh data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kondisi yang dialami masing-masing mahasiswa dalam menanggapi stimulus yang diberikan toxic friends. Perilaku komunikasi toxic friendship yang dialami oleh mahasiswa Fisipol angkatan 2015-2016 Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar dominan mendapatkan bentuk komunikasi verbal dibandingkan dengan nonverbal, serta bentuk perilaku Toxic friendship yang dominan dialami beberapa mahasiswa yaitu        pengkritik dan tidak ada empati. Kemudian dampak yang dialami dominan merasakan kemarahan. Respon yang timbul yaitu beberapa mahasiswa memilih diam dan meninggalkan circle pertemanan tersebut adapula memilih bertahan dan membicarakannya.

Abstract

The Perpustakaan Kambing Community is a group of people who are trying to assist coffee farmers with the farming knowledge and education. This community also maintains the Coffee Lappara brand, which transforms coffee beans into packaged black coffee products. Efforts to enhance the welfare of Lappara coffee producers, however, ran into obstacles as the project progressed. One of the challenges the Perpustakaan Kambing faces is a lack of product branding knowledge, which has resulted in their coffee business failing to grow at all. This service seeks to improve understanding of how to use the seven aspects of branding to lappara coffee products. The technique of implementation is interactive discussion, coaching, and assistance. In the end of the program, partners are able to determine the content of the seven basic parts of branding, including target market, target audience, and brand recruiters, brand name, brand slogan, brand style, and logo design, as a result of this activity.

Abstract

Persatuan Pemuda Mangindara is a youth organization that has the obligation of helping to create the welfare of the villagers. The problem found that youth organization members are generally still clumsy and do not have sufficient knowledge and skills in terms of public speaking. For this reason, public speaking training is needed that helps increase self-confidence and provides knowledge and basic speaking techniques. This public speaking training is carried out in several stages, starting from the preparation stage (observation and interview), the implementation stage (pre-presentation, initial evaluation, orientation, post-presentation, and feedback), and the evaluation stage. This training provides knowledge and improves basic public speaking skills for youth organization members to become good presenters, able to deliver speeches correctly and be more confident in interacting, communicating, and socializing with the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap aktivitas catcalling di lingkungan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Unismuh Makassar, serta untuk mengetahui faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya aktivitas catcalling yang terjadi di lingkungan fakultas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Karena penelitian ini membutuhkan observasi di lapangan, dan juga peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada para narasumber yang berkaitan dengan peneltian ini. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, karena peneliti ingin menjabarkan atau menggambarkan bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa terhadap aktivitas catcalling yang terjadi di lingkungan fakultas serta faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya catcalling di lingkungan fakultas. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah persepsi mahasiswa terhadap aktivitas catcalling di lingkungan fakultas, dampak yang dialami oleh korban catcalling dimana korban merasa tidak nyaman dan korban merasa trauma, faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya catcalling; faktor lingkungan (lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan pertemanan, dan lingkungan sosial), faktor pengetahuan, dan faktor penampilan.

Abstract

Mudahnya khalayak mengakses dan menyebarkan segala pesan, mengesampingkan penyaringan pesan sehingga tidak sedikit pengguna media sosial menyebarkan pesan palsu atau biasa dikenal dengan istilah Hoax. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Tipe penelitian ini menggunakan korelasi analisa regresi linear sederhana dengan maksud mencari pengaruh antara variabel independen (X) dengan variabel dependen (Y), Lokasi penelitian dilakukan langsung di Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 130 Mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh antara variabel bebas dan terikat pada penelitian ini. Diperoleh nilai dari hasil uji signifikansi regresi parsial (uji t) nilai Sig. variabel X (pesan hoax di media sosial) adalah 0.001 < 0.05 dengan nilai t hitung 2.758 > 1.978 (t tabel), Kemudian nilai pearson correlation ialah 0,254 dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0.001. Perolehan skor tersebut mengandung arti bahwa variabel bebas Pesan Hoax di Media Sosial memiliki korelasi terhadap variabel terikat Sikap Mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar.

Abstract

This training aimed to assist schools in improving the quality of education through the development of strategic planning. The methodology employed in this activity was carried out in three stages: 1) preparation through socialization of the activity to the community; 2) implementation through training; and 3) evaluation conducted by distributing pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the knowledge and skills of the partners. The results of this community service indicated the effectiveness of the training with an increase in partners' knowledge and skills scores on the post-test (96.71%) compared to the pre-test (88.56%). This demonstrates a significant difference in the level of knowledge and skills after receiving the leadership training.

Abstract

This service activity aims to increase women's knowledge and leadership skills in political contestation. The method used in this activity is carried out in three stages, namely 1) preparation by socializing the activity to the community, 2) implementation is carried out by means of training, and 3) evaluation is carried out by distributing pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the level of knowledge and skills of partners regarding the leadership training of women in political contestation that has been carried out. The results of this service show that cadres have increased their knowledge and skills regarding women's leadership training with a percentage of 93.21% in the good category. This shows that there are differences in the level of community knowledge after being given women's leadership training which is increasing.

Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected world, public speaking skills are essential for high school students. These skills foster effective communication, build self-confidence, and prepare students for future challenges. This community service project aimed to enhance public speaking abilities among students at Madrasah Aliyah ‘Aisyiyah Sungguminasa. An audience-centered approach was employed, incorporating five stages: pre-presentation, early evaluation, orientation, post-presentation, and feedback. Forty-seven students actively participated in the training. While participants demonstrated increased basic public speaking knowledge and skills, mastering public speaking theory and practice required further development. Challenges included public speaking anxiety and technical difficulties, yet participants exhibited improved body language during the second presentation.
