Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of broken home families by focusing on communication barriers, the determinants that lead to family disintegration, and their impacts on children’s psychological and social development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with individuals who directly experienced the challenges of living in a non-intact family. The findings reveal that communication breakdowns, such as limited emotional dialogue, aggressive interaction patterns, and inadequate channels for expressing needs, serve as initial triggers for prolonged conflicts that eventually result in family separation. Additional determinants include economic pressures, role disharmony, and ineffective conflict resolution. The impacts on children appear in the form of heightened anxiety, reduced self-esteem, altered social behavior, and difficulties establishing secure interpersonal relationships. These findings highlight the importance of healthy family communication and early psychosocial intervention in preventing and mitigating the long-term consequences of broken home situations on children's development.

Abstract

The rapid growth of stock market participation among young investors, particularly Generation Z, has intensified concerns regarding the psychological factors underlying investment decision-making. Despite increased access to financial information and digital trading platforms, young investors often exhibit biased judgments and inconsistent decision quality. From a psychological perspective, cognitive biases and subjective risk evaluation play a critical role in shaping behavior under uncertainty. This study aims to examine the role of overconfidence and risk perception in stock investment decision-making among young investors. This research employs a quantitative, explanatory design using survey data collected from 159 Generation Z investors. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to assess the effects of overconfidence and risk perception on stock investment decision-making. Overconfidence and risk perception were measured as psychological constructs reflecting cognitive bias and subjective risk appraisal, respectively. The results indicate that overconfidence has a positive and statistically significant effect on stock investment decision-making, suggesting that excessive self-belief increases decisiveness and investment engagement among young investors. Additionally, risk perception significantly influences investment decisions, highlighting the importance of subjective risk evaluation in guiding behavior under uncertainty. The findings confirm that psychological factors jointly shape how young investors interpret information and make financial decisions. From a psychological standpoint, this study contributes to decision-making and cognitive psychology by demonstrating that investment behavior among young adults is driven not only by rational evaluation but also by cognitive bias and perceived risk. The findings imply that psychological interventions such as bias awareness training, self-reflection, and risk appraisal education are essential complements to financial literacy programs.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines what shapes leadership through the lenses of communication, interaction, and social construction. Drawing on interdisciplinary scholarship from leadership studies and communication theory, the review synthesizes research that conceptualizes leadership not as an individual trait or positional authority, but as a dynamic, relational, and communicative process. Using a systematic search and screening procedure, the study analyzes key theoretical and empirical contributions that emphasize meaning-making, interactional practices, discourse, and socially constructed realities in leadership processes. The findings indicate that leadership emerges through ongoing communication, including sensemaking, framing, dialogue, and negotiated interactions among leaders, followers, and broader stakeholders. Rather than residing solely in individuals, leadership is shown to be co-constructed within social contexts shaped by language, power relations, cultural norms, and organizational settings. This review highlights a shift from leader-centric models toward relational, distributed, and process-oriented perspectives, underscoring communication as constitutive of leadership itself. The study contributes to leadership scholarship by integrating communication and social construction perspectives into a coherent framework, offering implications for future research and leadership development practices that prioritize interaction, reflexivity, and collective meaning-making in complex organizational and social environments.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The concept of Mother Wound refers to the emotional trauma caused by inadequate parenting, neglect, or emotional abandonment by a mother. This trauma can significantly impact an individual's mental and emotional health, often carrying effects into adulthood. The unresolved emotional wounds not only affect the person who experienced them but also influence their parenting styles, potentially passing on these wounds to the next generation. According to transgenerational trauma theory, these unresolved emotional scars can be transmitted through biological and psychosocial factors. Understanding and addressing the Mother Wound is crucial, as it enables individuals to identify and heal the negative impacts of unhealthy parenting. With this knowledge, one can work toward healing insecure attachment patterns, building healthier relationships, and supporting emotional growth. Education on Mother Wound is therefore essential for parents to recognize and overcome their own emotional wounds, ensuring they do not pass them on to their children. This article aims to provide insights into the importance of understanding and healing the Mother Wound to break the cycle of emotional inheritance and promote healthier generational relationships.

The approach used is qualitative descriptive phenomenology, based on Edmund Husserl's theory and a modification of Amedeo Giorgi's method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and analyzed using phenomenological procedures to identify the essence of the experiences experienced. The results of the study indicate that peer support, both emotional and informational, plays an important role in creating a supportive and harmonious learning environment. This support has been shown to improve students' psychological well-being and learning motivation. Cultural values such as mutual cooperation and solidarity strengthen these positive impacts. However, the effectiveness of support varies depending on the needs and conditions of each individual. These findings contribute to the development of mentoring policies and the formation of social networks in higher education environments. Keywords: Academic Stress, Descriptive Phenomenology, Peer Support, Postgraduate Students, Solidarity

Abstract

In making decisions in educational leadership, there is a need for a robust philosophical foundation in response to the current complex problems. The purpose of this research is to examine the essence of philosophical views in influencing educational management decision-making processes, uncover the paradigms in ethics, as well as examine the integration between universal philosophical views and Indonesian local wisdom. This study employs a qualitative library research method, collecting data through the identification, selection, and critical review of relevant academic literature published between 2021-2025, which is analyzed using thematic content analysis. The result shows that the integration between universal ethics views (deontology, utilitarianism, or virtue ethics) and local wisdom constructs a foundation in decision-making. Contemporary ethical paradigms transform from hierarchical approaches toward holistic models integrating professional skills, crisis adaptation, and inclusive data-driven decision making. Practical implications demand developing leadership competencies that balance data literacy with emotional intelligence, responsiveness to local contexts, and creating reflective organizational cultures. This study emphasizes the need for transforming educational leader preparation by integrating character development, philosophical reflection, and ethical competencies to produce wise and meaningful decisions. However, this study is limited to secondary data derived from literature sources, which may not fully capture contextual variations in real educational settings. Therefore, future research is encouraged to incorporate empirical field studies to further validate and enrich the proposed philosophical framework.
