Abstract

Budidaya Betta Splendens memerlukan sirkulasi air yang berkelanjutan, terutama selama masa pertumbuhan ikan dari usia dua minggu hingga enam bulan ketika siap panen. Proses yang dinamakan Resirkulasi Akuakultur (RAS) ini memerlukan pasokan air segar secara teratur. Hal yang menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok ternak Betta Splendens di desa Sumberejo, Donomulyo, Kabupaten Malang. Sumber air yang digunakan untuk budidaya memiliki kedalaman yang sulit dijangkau menggunakan pompa gantung. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini penulis akan menerapkan sistem Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) untuk memompakan air dari sumur bor dengan kedalaman 15m. ESP memiliki sistem pompa yang tercelup ke dalam sumber air dan mampu menjangkau kedalaman tersebut. Adanya ESP membuat suplai air dari dalam sumur menuju kolam ataupun bak pembesaran Betta Splendens menjadi lancar dan tentunya akan lebih hemat dan efisien dalam pemanfaatan energi listrik.

Abstract

A transformer is a static device that can transfer electrical energy using the principle of electromagnetic induction. In operating conditions, the increase of temperature in the transformer will cause the oil insulation having disturbance, which will cause the quality of the insulation to decrease. In this research, oil isolation type shell diala b was chosen which was placed in an accelerated thermal aging chamber experiment device. Then shell diala b oil insulation is heated to a temperature of 120 °C and 160 °C with three sampling times. After this, the oil insulation characteristics were tested which includes oil color scale testing and UV-Visible spectrophotometric testing of the oil. The research method used refers to the IEC 60216-3 2006 standard for aging time and ASTM D-1500 COLOR SCALE for color scale testing. After testing the characteristics of shell diala b oil insulation, it was found that the value of the color scale had increased. Besides that, there has been an increase in the absorption of UV-Visible rays within the oil insulation, which causes the color of the insulation become darker as the temperature and the aging duration in the accelerated thermal aging chamber increases.

Abstract

Electricity is an essential energy source that plays a crucial role in human life. A key component of power distribution systems is the distribution substation. As distribution substations are in operation over time, their components experience aging, which can result in operational failures. This situation emphasizes the necessity for regular evaluations and diagnostics of distribution substations. Such assessments are crucial for identifying when equipment requires repair or replacement, ensuring that the system operates at maximum efficiency. By implementing a proactive maintenance strategy, utilities can mitigate risks, enhance reliability, and extend the lifespan of their infrastructure. The scoring matrix method is a technique for evaluating the condition of distribution substations. It combines results from field and laboratory tests to produce values that accurately reflect the substation's condition. The research focused on four distribution substations managed by PT PLN, classifying them into high, medium, and low categories based on their health index scores. The results show that, among the four distribution substations evaluated, substations A and C received health indices exceeding 80%, classifying them in the high category. It is therefore recommended that these substations continue operating normally while adhering to their scheduled periodic maintenance. In contrast, substation B received a health index between 50% and 80%, placing it in the medium category. While it can remain operational, it requires closer monitoring and maintenance at specific intervals to ensure reliability and prevent potential issues.

Abstract

Pemberian pakan ikan merupakan kegiatan yang memerlukan konsistensi baik dalam waktu pemberian pakan dan jumlahnya. Budidaya ikan di Perum. Bukit Cemara Tidar masih menggunakan sistem manual, yang menyebabkan pembudidaya harus mengatur jadwal untuk pemberian pakan. Sistem pemberian pakan secara manual masih banyak memiliki kekurangan seperti jumlah pakan yang tidak sesuai takaran dan waktu pemberian pakan yang tidak teratur. Ketidakteraturan pemberian pakan ini mempengaruhi kualitas ikan dan biaya pembelian pakan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini dengan memberikan pelatihan desain dan instalasi alat pakan ikan secara otomatis (automatic fish feeder). Alat ini memudahkan pembudidaya dalam mengatur proses pemberian pakan sehingga dapat menjaga kualitas budidaya ikan dan penghematan biaya pakan. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Peserta diberikan ketrampilan dalam merancang automatic fish feeder, cara pengoperasian dan perawatan. Terdapat 2 alat yang terpasang pada kolam ikan. Berdasarkan pengujian kinerjanya, alat ini sudah bekerja sesuai fungsinya dimana dalam kurun waktu sehari setiap pukul 08:00 dan pukul 15:00 alat akan bekerja untuk memberi pakan pada ikan, waktu aktif servo sudah sesuai perencanaan yaitu 1 menit dengan range berat pakan yang dikerluarkan seberat 18 gram.

Abstract

Konsep urban farming merupakan konsep penanaman yang dilakukan di perkotaan dengan memanfaatkan lahan tanam yang terbatas. Salah satu UMKM di Kota Malang yang bergerak di bidang urban farming yaitu PT Tanduria Agromedia Indonesia, berdiri pada tahun 2021. PT Tanduria Agromedia Indonesia menerapkan konsep ini dengan objek tanaman yaitu tomat dan mentimun pada lahan seluas ± 100 m2. Sistem penyiraman masih dilakukan secara manual dengan ketergantungan pada manusia yang menyebabkan tidak meratanya irigasi setiap area penanaman. Selain itu, ketergantungan terhadap ketersediaan air Perumda Tugu Tirta juga mempengaruhi waktu penyiraman jika terjadi gangguan distribusi air. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu mitra yaitu dengan menerapkan sistem irigasi “drip system” agar proses penyiraman setiap tanaman dapat merata. Teknik penyiraman ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas tanam dan efisiensi lahan tanam melalui pemasangan instalasi kelistrikan pompa air yang dapat mengatur debit air tandon maupun proses irigasi.

Abstract

Generator sets (gensets) are important tools to be available in public places as a backup source of electrical power, if there is a power outage from the main electrical source. In this study, an evaluation analysis of the generator capacity was carried out in the West Kalimantan secretariat building on April 2023. This building has a total load of 677 kW supplied by PLN medium voltage 20 kV and lowered by a 630 kVA step-down transformer. Current observations were made during Off Peak Load Time at 13.00-15.00 and Peak Load Time at 17.00-19.00. From this experiment, it can be concluded that in April 2023 the highest peak load usage was 568.67 kW or 710.83 kVA. After the calculations have been done, the generator power capacity in the building must be 651.61 kW, while the generators used were two units with a power capacity of 1280 kW. Thus, the generator has met the electrical energy needs of the building. The efficiency of the generator when the genset works for 60 minutes in the building is still relatively low, which is 26.25%. The ACB safety rating used on the outgoing genset to the Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel (LVMDP) has a rating of 2000 A for one genset unit and 4000 A for two synchronous genset units, which is in accordance with the calculation of the safety capability value from PUIL 2011 reference.

Abstract

Transformers are considered important equipment in the power distribution system. Determining the state of the distribution network loading curve a network model to analyze the impact of the rooftop PV system penetration level. The assumption of penetration is 10% - 100% and based on the amount of transformer power according to the nameplate, which is 160 kVA. The transformer that used is GTT BB1215, which is one of the distribution transformers in the PT PLN (Persero) UP3 South Surabaya. The loading curve modeling uses DIgSILENT PowerFactory 2021 software with the Quasi-Dynamic Simulation feature. Based on the average loading curve of GTT BB1215 for 14 days, there is a fluctuation, starting at 00.00 a.m - 06.00 a.m the load will decrease, the load will increase again at 06.00 a.m – 07.00 p.m, and the peak load at 06.00 p.m - 07.00 p.m with a current of 140 A (96 kW) or 60% of the transformer capacity load. The lowest load occurs at 06.00 a.m with a current of 94 A (65 kW) or 40% of the transformer capacity load. At a penetration level of 10% - 40%, the transformer load decreases significantly. However, when the penetration level exceeds 40%, there is a reverse power flow from the rooftop PV system to the transformer. This condition make the current to continue flowing even though the load on the transformer has reached 0, because the current represents the power flow from the rooftop PV system to the network, not from the customer load.
