Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) development programs provided by the Indonesian government on the business development of women entrepreneurs in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). To answer this question, we distributed online questionnaires to women entrepreneurs in NTB to see how involved they were in these programs and how well these programs had an impact on their business development. After receiving responses from 303 respondents, the results of this study indicated that these programs had less impact on their business development. This is due to the lack of information that respondents receive about these programs so they do not have the opportunity to participate. On the other hand, respondents who had participated in several programs confirmed that the programs they had participated in had a good impact on their business development. This study offers valuable insights into the business conditions of women in NTB and sheds light on the obstacles they encounter. As a result, the research's outcomes are expected to provide valuable recommendations to the government for the formulation of future programs that facilitate the growth of women entrepreneurs in Indonesia, particularly in NTB.

Abstract

This study explores the link between halal tourism and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and identifies its contribution to developing ethical, inclusive, and sustainable tourism destinations. This study was compiled using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA 2020 approach, encompassing 42 selected scientific articles that met the quality and relevance criteria. Data were collected through a systematic search process in the Scopus database, screening based on titles and abstracts, and article quality evaluation. The study's findings indicate that halal tourism not only meets the spiritual needs of Muslim tourists but also contributes to local economic empowerment, environmental preservation, and strengthening cultural identity. Islamic values such as justice, responsibility, and sustainability are important foundations for developing halal destinations that align with the principles of the SDGs. Furthermore, local community participation, the use of digital technology, and a contextual branding approach contribute to strengthening halal tourism’s competitiveness and sustainability. This study concludes that the integration of Sharia principles and global sustainability makes a significant contribution to the development of sustainable tourism theory and practice. Further studies are recommended to adopt a multidisciplinary approach, expand the scope of the region, and use a longitudinal design to deepen the understanding of the dynamics and challenges in this sector.

Abstract

This study aims to map the trends and characteristics of special interest tourism research in Indonesia in the period 2020–2024. The method used is content analysis with a focus on six main aspects: number of publications per year, type of research, research subjects, tourism topics studied, data collection instruments, and data analysis methods. Data were obtained through a systematic search on Google Scholar on April 26, 2025 using the keyword "special interest tourism." From approximately 104,000 initial results, after filtering based on year of publication and title relevance, 74 data were obtained, of which only 42 articles were fully accessible and 34 of them were used as research samples. The results show fluctuations in publication trends, with significant spikes in 2023 and 2024. Qualitative research dominates, while quantitative and mixed methods are still minimal. The most frequently used instruments are observation sheets and triangulation, while common data analysis techniques include SWOT and qualitative descriptive. Government and tourists emerged as the most research subjects, reflecting a focus on tourist policies and experiences. The topics studied are very diverse, ranging from tourist behavior, environmental conservation, tourist villages, to tourism product innovation. This study concludes that special interest tourism is increasingly in demand as a field of study, but the methodological approach still tends to be exploratory and descriptive. It is recommended to strengthen quantitative and mixed-method methods and expand the focus of research on policy, creative economy, and sustainability. These results are expected to be an initial reference for researchers and stakeholders in developing more comprehensive special interest tourism research in the future.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, skills, and interest of young people in traditional arts through Gandrung Dance Training in Perampuan Village, West Lombok Regency. The background of this activity is the declining interest of the younger generation in traditional Sasak dance, which is due to the dominance of popular culture, changes in lifestyle, and limited space for arts education in the community. In fact, Gandrung Dance has noble values that reflect the identity, social harmony, and philosophy of life of the Sasak people that are worth preserving. The method for implementing the activity uses a participatory approach, placing participants as active subjects in the learning process. The stages of the activity include: (1) orientation to introduce the concept and cultural values of Gandrung Dance, (2) demonstration of fourteen basic movement forms, (3) direct practice in groups with intensive guidance, (4) performance evaluation based on aspects of wiraga, wirama, and wirasa, and (5) final reflection to assess the understanding and experience of participants. Evaluation of the results is carried out through performance observation, pre- and post-training questionnaires, and reflective interviews. The results of the activity showed significant improvements in three main aspects: knowledge of the history and values of the Gandrung Dance increased from 35% to 90%; movement skills increased from 20% to 85%; and interest in preserving local culture increased from 25% to 88%. Furthermore, the training had a positive impact on participants' social attitudes, such as increased self-confidence, discipline, and the ability to work together. This activity demonstrated that traditional arts training based on local culture effectively strengthens adolescent character and builds awareness of cultural preservation in the community
