Abstract

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has significant implications for the stability of global order. Turkey, as a country that has profound relations with Russia and Ukraine, is also affected by the conflict that threatens the country's economic sector, which is currently in reform momentum. The Turkish government under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan strategically seeks to position itself as a conflict mediator to reach a peace resolution that will ultimately have an impact on the restoration of productive relations with Russia and Ukraine. The author will use a qualitative research approach with analytical descriptive methods that utilize various sources such as journals, books, scientific articles, media and other sources that have gone through the study process. This study uses the theory of national interest and rational choice to observe and identify President Erdogan's decision-making process in responding to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in a constructive and balanced manner without showing dominant partiality to either party. The results showed that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine had a significant impact on the stability of the Turkish economy, which strategically responded through restorative-based policies to rejuvenate productive relations with the two countries in conflict.

Abstract

Cyberwarfare has become one of the most prominent aspects of global geopolitical competition, introducing a new dimension of conflict involving states and non-state actors. Although research on the role of states in cyber warfare has been amplacious, research on the role of non-state actors is still limited. This study aims to analyze the role and impact of non-state actors in global cyber warfare. In cyber warfare, non-state actors can exploit the vulnerabilities of security systems to achieve their political or ideological goals, changing geopolitical dynamics in unexpected ways. Case studies raised in this study include cyber attacks by Anonymous groups against governments and companies, cyber acts of terrorism by ISIS, manipulation of information by extremist groups to achieve their political goals, and the use of digital propaganda in regional conflicts. By paying attention to the concept of force and security in the perspective of realism, this research is expected to provide a better understanding of how non-state actors influence global geopolitical dynamics through cyber warfare. The implication of this research is the importance of strengthening national cyber defense and international cooperation in the face of threats presented by non-state actors in the cyber domain.

Abstract

The use of electronic wallets (e-wallets) is increasingly popular among Generation Z, known for their high-tech skills and strong propensity to adopt digital innovations in various aspects of daily life. E-wallets offer a fast, efficient, and practical means of financial transactions. However, it is important to evaluate their compliance with the principles of Maqashid Sharia, which include the protection of religion, life, intellect, descendants, and property. This study uses an interdisciplinary approach between Islamic Economics and Financial Technology (Fintech) to analyze the implementation and impact of e-wallet use among Generation Z in Indonesia. This approach allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of e-wallets not only economically, but also socially and spiritually, within the framework of Islamic values. The results show that the majority of Generation Z utilizes e-wallets due to their efficiency, ease of access, and transaction security, where encryption and double verification systems are considered capable of protecting user data and maintaining the hifz al-mal (protection of property). From a hifz al-din and hifz al-'aql perspective, e-wallet use is considered legally neutral as long as it is not used for transactions that conflict with Sharia principles, such as online gambling or the purchase of illicit goods. Research also found that awareness of Sharia and digital security aspects remains relatively low, necessitating more intensive Sharia financial education and literacy for Generation Z.
