Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore in depth the reasons behind employees' The purpose of this study is to explore in depth the reasons behind employees' resignation decisions from Islamic banks, particularly at Bank Syariah Indonesia in the Pekanbaru City area of Riau. The research method used a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with former employees who resigned voluntarily. The data analysis technique used an interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) approach. The results show that resignation decisions are influenced by various factors, such as work pressure, authoritative leadership, limited career development opportunities, and a mismatch between organizational culture and Islamic values. Employees feel disappointed when the principles of justice, trustworthiness, and transparency are not reflected in work practices. In addition, conflicts between personal values and the search for a more spiritual meaning in life also contribute to resignation decisions. In conclusion, non-technical factors such as value mismatches are the main reasons for resignation, not solely workload or career path.

Abstract

Salam and istishna contracts are two transaction instruments in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah) that hold significant potential as alternative financing instruments in Islamic banking, yet their application in Indonesia remains far from optimal. This article aims to comparatively analyze the fundamental concepts, operational mechanisms, and implementation of salam and istishna contracts within Indonesia's Islamic financing system. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research method through descriptive-comparative analysis of various relevant scientific literature sources. The findings reveal that although both contracts share similarities in that the object of transaction does not yet exist at the time of agreement, they differ substantially in terms of payment mechanisms, cancellation provisions, and the scope of financed objects. The salam contract is more relevant for agricultural sector financing, while the istishna contract is more predominantly applied in the construction and manufacturing sectors. The low implementation of both contracts is attributed to their high risk profiles, limited human resource capacity, and the availability of simpler alternative products. Synergistic efforts among regulators, Islamic banking institutions, and the government are required to optimize both contracts as inclusive and sustainable Islamic financing instruments.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of gold pawn products at Islamic Pawnshops (Pegadaian Syariah) and Islamic Banks in Indonesia using a qualitative phenomenological approach. Gold pawn products are one of the short-term financing instruments widely favored by the public because they are backed by gold as an underlying asset with relatively stable value. Differences in business models, cost structures, types of contracts applied, operational mechanisms, and levels of compliance with Sharia principles between Islamic Pawnshops and Islamic Banks result in varying customer experiences. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews with customers, employees, and Sharia economics practitioners, and were supported by a review of relevant national and international journal literature. The findings indicate that, in terms of cost, gold pawn products offered by Islamic Banks are relatively cheaper than those provided by Islamic Pawnshops. However, in terms of process and service, Islamic Pawnshops have advantages in simpler administrative procedures and faster disbursement times. These differences influence customer perceptions of service convenience, cost transparency, and Sharia compliance. This study provides important implications for improving service quality, refining internal regulations, and strengthening the application of Sharia principles in the development of gold pawn products within Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

Introduction: Islamic boarding schools are traditional Islamic educational institutions that have an important role in the educational, social and economic development of society in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the sharia-based community economic empowerment model through the Fataha Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) at the Fajar Pelita Harapan Islamic Boarding School in Maredan Village, Tualang District. Methods: The study used a qualitative descriptive approach involving 30 informants consisting of Islamic boarding school administrators, BWM Fataha managers, and the surrounding community as financing program customers. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The results show that the implemented empowerment model is integrative by combining Islamic microfinance, spiritual guidance, business mentoring, and group strengthening through the kumpi system. This program is able to increase access to business capital, strengthen community economic independence, improve Islamic financial literacy, and empower women as micro-entrepreneurs. In addition, the Islamic boarding school plays a role as a center for social capital and community moral development. However, the program still faces obstacles such as low entrepreneurial literacy, limited business innovation, and limited mentoring resources. This research shows that Islamic boarding schools have strategic potential as centers for sustainable sharia-based community economic empowerment Conclusion and suggestion: This study shows that the sharia-based community economic empowerment model implemented by the Fataha Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) in the Fajar Pelita Harapan Islamic Boarding School environment uses an integrative approach that combines sharia microfinance, spiritual guidance, business mentoring, and strengthening group solidarity through the kumpi system.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) through the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit Kitchen (SPPG) requires the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) as a form of compliance with Halal Product Assurance regulations while ensuring the safety, quality, and halalness of food served to the public. However, some SPPG managers still have limited understanding of the requirements, procedures, and stages of applying for halal certification. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and readiness of SPPG managers in implementing SJPH and preparing for the halal certification process. The implementation methods include socialization, training, interactive discussions, assistance in preparing SJPH documents, and evaluation using pre- and post-tests for 50 participants from four SPPG Kitchens in Rokan Hulu Regency. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of halal regulations, SJPH implementation, and halal certification mechanisms. All partner kitchens successfully compiled basic SJPH documents and were declared ready to continue the halal certification application process in accordance with applicable regulations.
