Abstract

The issue in research regarding the impact of digital transformation on SME productivity and profitability often relates to the gap in access to technology. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation on the productivity and profitability of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Using a qualitative literature review approach, the research explores various previous studies and compares their results to understand how digital technology can help SMEs improve operational efficiency and competitiveness in the global market. Based on previous findings, it was discovered that the adoption of technologies such as e-commerce, cloud-based inventory management, and digital marketing can increase SME productivity by up to 30% and profitability by an average of 35%. However, SMEs in Indonesia still face significant challenges, including limited technological infrastructure and low digital literacy. In addressing the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, support from the government and the private sector is crucial, particularly in providing digital training and access to technological infrastructure. This research also adopts the Theory of Technological Innovation, Resource-Based Theory, and Transaction Cost Economics Theory to understand the factors influencing digital transformation in SMEs. In conclusion, although there are many challenges in the digitalization process of SMEs, technology adoption can have a significant positive impact on productivity and profitability if supported by appropriate policies and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Human Resource (HR) Policies, Intellectual Capital, and Social Risk on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Performance within the fintech industry. As ESG factors increasingly shape stakeholder expectations and regulatory frameworks, fintech companies must adopt sustainable practices not only through technology but also through strategic human and intellectual resource management. Using a quantitative approach with data analyzed via Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), the findings demonstrate that all three variables—HR Policies, Intellectual Capital, and Social Risk—positively and significantly affect ESG Performance. HR Policies emerged as the most influential factor, followed by Social Risk and Intellectual Capital. The model also shows strong explanatory and predictive relevance. These results highlight the crucial role of human capital development and risk mitigation in driving sustainability efforts in fintech firms.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of e-wallet implementation, digital security perceptions, and technology reliability on digital payment system usage decisions in East Java. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 150 active digital payment users through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) version 3 to evaluate both the measurement and structural models. The results indicate that e-wallet implementation has a positive and significant effect on digital payment usage decisions, highlighting the importance of usability, system integration, and functional design. Digital security perceptions emerge as the strongest determinant, emphasizing that users’ confidence in data protection and transaction safety plays a critical role in shaping adoption behavior. Technology reliability also shows a significant positive influence, demonstrating that system stability and transaction accuracy are essential for sustaining user trust and continued usage. Overall, the findings suggest that digital payment adoption in East Java is driven by a combination of effective system implementation, strong security perceptions, and reliable technological performance. This study contributes to the digital finance and fintech adoption literature by providing empirical evidence from a regional context and offers practical insights for e-wallet providers and policymakers to strengthen digital payment ecosystems.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia continue to face inefficiencies in inventory management due to manual stock recording, data inconsistency, and delays in operational decision-making. In Serang City, these challenges often lead to stockouts, excess inventory, and limited business scalability. This study aims to develop and evaluate a mobile-based automated inventory management system that supports real-time stock monitoring and decision-making for MSMEs. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach integrated with the Agile-Scrum methodology, encompassing problem identification, user requirement analysis, system design, prototype development, functional testing, and usability evaluation. Functional validation was conducted using black box testing, while system usability was assessed using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 15 MSME users. The results indicate that all core system functions achieved a 100% success rate, including automated stock recording, cloud-based data synchronization, real-time notifications, and dashboard analytics. The usability evaluation produced an average SUS score of 82.5, classified as Excellent, indicating high user acceptance and ease of use. These findings demonstrate that the proposed system effectively improves inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and decision-making quality, contributing to MSME digital transformation in developing regions.
