Abstract

Chemistry learning at SMA Negeri 7 Takalar is still dominated by ordinary cooperative learning. Students still have difficulty understanding colloid lessons where the material is conceptual and requires the application of concepts contextually. Therefore it is very important to do learning that involves students actively applying colloid theory and concepts through the STEAM approach to the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. This research is a quasi-experimental research which aims to determine the learning outcomes of Colloid Students after learning with the STEAM approach in the PjBL Model Class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Takalar. The research design was posttest only control group design. The population is all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Takalar which consists of three classes. The research samples for Class XI MIPA 2 and Class XI MIPA 3 as the experimental and control groups were randomly selected. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the average learning outcomes of the experimental class are higher than the control class. The results of the inferential statistical test showed that the learning outcomes of students using the t test at a value of α = 0.05 obtained tcount > ttable (2.83 > 1.99). The results of data analysis from hypothesis testing stated that the STEAM approach to the Project Based Learning Model had a significant influence on the colloidal learning outcomes of Class XI MIPA Students at SMA Negeri 7 Takalar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan guru dan peserta didik terhadap merancang perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Discovery Learning pada materi reaksi reduksi oksidasi di SMA. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan melibatkan 36 peserta didik kelas X-6 dan satu guru kimia SMA Negeri 14 Gowa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi awal pembelajaran, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan angket kebutuhan peserta didik menggunakan Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas dan partisipasi peserta didik masih tergolong rendah dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 38,9%. Sebanyak 88,0% peserta didik menyatakan sering merasa bosan saat pembelajaran kimia, 89,0% mengalami kesulitan untuk fokus, dan 80,0% menyatakan bahwa metode ceramah menyebabkan mereka cepat bosan dan pasif. Selain itu, 96,0% peserta tertarik tertarik mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning dan 96,5% menyatakan bahwa model tersebut dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa guru membutuhkan perangkat pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mampu mendorong peserta didik untuk menemukan konsep secara mandiri. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan, dirancang perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri atas modul terbuka, LKPD, video pembelajaran, dan evaluasi interaktif menggunakan Quizizz . Dengan demikian, perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Discovery Learning dinilai sangat dibutuhkan sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan minat dan partisipasi belajar peserta didik pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi.

Abstract

Self-Regulated Learning and argumentation skills are important competencies that prospective teacher students must possess to face the demands of 21st-century learning. However, studies that describe these two competencies simultaneously in Case Method-based learning are still limited. This study aims to describe the profile of Self-Regulated Learning, argumentation skills, and learning outcomes of prospective teacher students through Case Method learning on child development issues. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with 81 students taking the Child Development course in the 2025/2026 academic year using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires on Self-Regulated Learning, argumentation skills, and Final Semester Exam (UAS) scores, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the majority of students had Self-Regulated Learning in the independent category (90.12%), argumentation skills in the high category (64.20%), and learning outcomes in the good category (61.73%). The results showed that Case Method learning was able to facilitate the development of Self-Regulated Learning, argumentation skills, and student learning outcomes. However, reinforcement through scaffolding, structured reflection, and evidence-based argumentation exercises is still needed to improve higher-order argumentation skills and encourage more students to reach the highest category.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research aimed to determine the effect of problem based learning model and learning styles on motivation and learning outcomes in acid-base of grade students XI at SMA Negeri 18 Makassar. The research design used is a factorial design 2×3. The research sample consisted of 60 students of grade XI who were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The sampling technique was carried out by random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study show that the problem based learning model has a significant effect on learning motivation and learning outcomes. Learning styles also has a significant effect on learning motivation and learning outcomes. In addition, the problem based learning model and learning style simultaneously had a significant effect on both bound variables. This shows that there is the effect of problem based learning and learning styles on motivation and learning outcomes in acid-base of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 18 Makassar.
