Abstract

ABSTRACT Almost all households in Indonesia use a refrigerator as a place to store food that is more durable. But behind these needs, refrigerators are identified as one of the household appliances that use high electrical energy. Therefore, this study aims to examine the use of Tube in Tube Heat Exchanger (TiTHX) with refrigerant R290 in the refrigerator system to reduce household electricity consumption. This research was conducted experimentally by varying the 3 diameter ratios on TiTHX. The results showed that the use of TiTHX with the most optimum value was obtained at the variation diameter ¼ : ½ increasing refrigerator performance by 3.7%. and also reduce the consumption of electricity costs up to Rp. 17,544.44 per month. This is because the difference between the evaporation pressure and condensation pressure is smaller in systems using TiTHX which then results in lower compression work.

Abstract

Clean water is a primary necessity for human survival, but due to limited access to clean water sources, wells are often used to meet this need. However, water from wells cannot be used directly because its quality varies depending on the soil conditions. Due to these differences, a filtration system needs to be installed in the treatment of raw water from the well. In the process, well water, after being processed through the filtration system, experiences a decrease in flow rate before being stored in water tanks. This creates a problem, namely excessive electricity consumption and insufficient water flow for household use. In this research, the researcher attempts to implement the SNI (Indonesian National Standard) standards in household-scale clean water treatment, whereas previous research focused more on water quality testing. The objectives of this research are to reduce electricity consumption and increase water flow to meet household needs. Regarding the research method, the researcher conducted a literature review, data collection, pre-improvement testing, redesigned pipeline planning, performance testing of the improvement results, and analysis of the outcomes. The results of this research show that for the 1-liter container testing, the required time has increased, with the fastest time being 6.4 seconds and the slowest being 6.7 seconds, compared to the initial testing, which had a range of 13.2 seconds to 13.6 seconds. As for electricity consumption, there has been a significant decrease, from 2.76 A in the initial testing to 1.76 A, resulting in an average power consumption of 200.3 watt, compared to the previous 603.7 watt.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the hardness and corrosion of the weld layer. In addition, distortions were also observed in the post-welding specimens. Weld layers were made with variations of one, two and three layers of welding using HV-800 electrodes. The first step in this research is a literature study, followed by preparing tools and materials, heating electrodes, welding process, observing distortion, cutting specimens for testing followed by hardness and corrosion testing, and data analysis and conclusions. From the results of observing the distortion, it can be seen that the thicker the weld layer, the greater the distortion that will occur. Distortions in specimens welded with one, two and three layers are 1.5, 4 and 6° respectively. Furthermore, based on the results of the hardness test, it can be seen that the thicker the weld layer, the greater the hardness. The hardness of the one, two and three layer welded specimens was 550.2, 632.82 and 650.68 HV respectively. Then, based on the weighing results, it can be seen that the longer the immersion time, the greater the reduction in mass during 120 hours of immersing. Finally, from the results of the corrosion rate calculation it can be seen that the thicker the weld layer, the lower the corrosion rate that will occur. The corrosion rates for specimens welded with one, two and three layers were 13.23, 11.02 and 10.29 mpy, respectively. All three specimens have good corrosion resistance because they fall into the "good" criteria.

Abstract

Penggunaan baja SPCC pada bagian luar produk membuat lebih mudah terpapar korosi serta membuat daya tarik menjadi berkurang. Salah satu tindakan yang diperlukan adalah melakukan coating yang berkualitas. Kualitas coating dapat dilihat dari segi visual, ketebalan, daya kilap, dan daya lekat. Polyurethane merupakan salah satu jenis bahan yang digunakan dalam proses coating karena memiliki sifat yang baik. Selain itu, agar kualitas kebersihan dapat terjaga dan waktu untuk melakukan coating dapat lebih cepat maka perlu dilakukan proses pengeringan dengan oven. Namun, belum diketahui penggunaan temperatur pengeringan yang tepat untuk mendapatkan kualitas yang baik. Oleh sebab itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur pengeringan terhadap tampilan visual, ketebalan, daya kilap, dan daya lekat coating polyurethane pada baja SPCC. Temperatur pengeringan spesimen yang digunakan yaitu 70oC, 100oC, dan 130oC dengan waktu pengeringan selama 20 menit. Hasil pengujian yang diperoleh pada tampilan visual tinggi temperatur pengeringan membuat tampilan yang diperoleh semakin gelap. Pengujian ketebalan menunjukkan bahwa pada temperatur pengeringan terkecil 70oC mendapatkan hasil ketebalan yang lebih besar yaitu 50,15 µm. Sama dengan uji ketebalan, nilai pada pengujian daya kilap juga menunjukkan bahwa tinggi temperatur 70oC yang paling rendah menghasilkan daya kilap yang lebih baik sebesar 7,33 GU. Hasil yang berbeda didapatkan pada pengujian daya lekat, di mana pada semua temperatur pengeringan mendapatkan hasil yang sama yaitu 5B atau tidak adanya cat yang terkelupas.

Abstract

Desa Rumpin di Kabupaten Bogor memiliki potensi sumber daya bambu yang melimpah, namun para pengrajin setempat masih mengalami hambatan dalam proses produksi dan pengembangan produk. Kelompok pengrajin Mugni Sumber Jaya adalah salah satu yang masih menghadapi kendala dalam aspek produksi dan keterampilan menganyam bambu. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi melalui implementasi teknologi tepat guna mesin pemotong bambu PASAK, meningkatkan keterampilan menganyam bambu untuk diversifikasi produk, dan pendampingan pemasaran produk digital. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi partisipatif, pelatihan teknis penggunaan mesin PASAK dan penganyaman bambu, serta pendampingan berkelanjutan dan evaluasi berkala. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi waktu produksi sebesar 50%, penguasaan teknik penganyaman untuk menghasilkan variasi produk baru, dan perluasan jangkauan pemasaran melalui platform digital. Program ini berhasil memberdayakan pengrajin bambu dalam mengoptimalkan potensi lokal secara berkelanjutan.
