Abstract

In the celebration of the Eucharist, silence is an important element in liturgical celebrations. Liturgical silence is a means that sends people into the inner world where God is personally experienced. Silence is a time when people listen and absorb God's Word and bear fruit in their daily lives through words, actions and deeds. The author's purpose in making this scientific paper is to urge the people to maintain silence while participating in the Eucharistic Celebration, so that all people can prepare themselves and mind to follow and carry out the Eucharistic Celebration with a calm heart and mind. The method of writing this thesis is a literature review. This scientific work was compiled based on the author's concern about the lack of appreciation of the people in participating in the Eucharistic Celebration. It is undeniable that there are things that disturb the silence during the Eucharistic Celebration, such as the noise in the sacrament when the officers are preparing themselves, and the sound of mobile phones ringing. Therefore, before the Eucharistic Celebration, it is highly recommended that silence can be created, both in the church and in the area around the church. This paper recalls that silence can be created through prayer. And the most important thing in prayer is not to first seek what we want, but to be aware of the desire and inner movement that is driven by God Himself.

Abstract

In general, the Catholic Church is based on two spiritual activities, namely the official liturgy and devotions. The difference between the two is more about legality and the place where the activity is carried out in a place that has been officially and sacredly determined, namely the church. Whereas devotion is more flexible and can be carried out anywhere, such as; shrines, churches, or in homes. Devotion is very close to the expression of love for God’s love and including his Son Jesus Christ, the world’s savior who atones for human sins. In imitating the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, there are various opportunities that the Church has provided, so that people can live and reflect and ask themselves, why do we have to be devoted? How to obtain the fruits of devotion? People can learn devotion from the life of a Only Begotten Son of God, who was willing to suffer and be crucified. One of them is Jesus Christ who has a Most Sacred Heart. The church is aware of the importance of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, although many believers still do not understand the value of this devotion, so that from this understanding and motivations emerge in understanding devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, such as devotional practices centered on objects of statues. The people themselves still do not fully understand the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. So form here the author finds the most basic things that can help people in increasing their piety to Jesus Christ in understanding the teachings of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus according to Pope Pius XII. So by understanding the teachings of Pope Pius XII about devotion. People can implement and understand more about devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus that devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is not a burden but a godliness of life and can know His heart which is full of mercy.

Abstract

The advancement of technology that continues to develop today can help accelerate and simplify human work. Technological progress facilitates communication without limitations of space and time. Easy internet access makes it easier to obtain various types of information. However, the vast amount of information available online can also lead to the spread of hoaxes and misinformation. This makes digital literacy crucial for the public to distinguish between valid and invalid information. Social media, as an easily accessible form of information technology, can serve as an educational medium for promoting digital literacy. Social media as a model for digital literacy can also be applied in science education by providing students with worksheets and asking them to review information found on social media related to specific science topics. This approach not only strengthens students’ digital literacy skills but also deepens their understanding of scientific concepts by connecting them with real-world issues and current information trends. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data derived from previous research conducted over the past ten years. The results show that digital literacy is essential for communities in utilizing technology effectively. A high level of digital literacy enables individuals to differentiate between accurate and inaccurate information. The opportunities for using social media in digital literacy education include enhanced collaborative communication, engagement and accessibility, empowerment, lifelong learning, and the promotion of innovative educational practices. The challenges, however, include limited access and resource constraints, barriers to digital literacy, privacy and security concerns, and ethical and professional considerations. These findings support the strategic integration of social media into public education systems as a tool to enhance both scientific and digital literacy, especially among youth

Abstract

Theology of the Body is a theological and philosophical reflection that seeks to help adolescents understand their identity as human persons created in the image and likeness of God. This study aims to examine the Theology of the Body and deepen understanding of the meaning of the human body and the value of human dignity in adolescent life, based on the teachings of Pope John Paul II. The method used is library research, involving the collection of relevant literature, critical reading, and the analysis of academic sources. The findings suggest that a comprehensive understanding of the Theology of the Body can foster a greater respect for the dignity of the human person and an increased awareness of the purpose of creation. In practical terms, these insights may be applied through character education programs rooted in the spirituality of the body within Catholic schools, pastoral accompaniment for adolescents that emphasizes the body as a gift, and the development of catechetical modules that integrate Theology of the Body with contemporary issues such as pornography, premarital sex, and identity crises. The scholarly contribution of this study lies in its formation of a theoretical framework that supports further development in the fields of theology, philosophy, and moral education for youth. Moreover, this study provides space for interdisciplinary dialogue between theology and the social sciences in addressing the complexity of juvenile delinquency in a more holistic and contextualized manner.
