Abstract

This study aims to determine the process, specifications, and teacher's perception of developing a teacher guidance module in making mathematical assessment instruments based on mathematical problem-solving. This study uses the Research and Development method which is used to produce certain products, namely teacher guidance modules. The development model used in this study is the development model that Marshall et al. (2009), Tryon and Bishop et al (2012) and Rusdi (2018) combined by researchers into references. The steps consist of the problem and need analysis, literature review, product design, validity, practitioner trials. The research subjects in this development were two validators consisting of material expert validators, instrument design expert test validators, and five practitioners. The type of data taken in this study is qualitative data. The instrument used in the study was an open questionnaire. The process stages in developing are (a) Analysis of problems and needs, (b) literature review, (c) product design, (d) validity, (e) trial practitioners. The product specifications developed in the module are that there are three chapters on introduction, concepts, and procedures accompanied by examples by using types of problem-solving, namely problem-solving design and story problem. Teacher's perception in the teacher guidance module is positive, of the five practitioners recommending that it be used as a guide in making problem-solving problems.

Abstract

This research aims to describe improving students' cognitive abilities using the outdoor study method in elementary science learning This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a combined qualitative and quantitative approach (mixed method). This data collection technique is based on observation and tests sourced from lecturers and students at Muara Bungo Muhammadiyah University. This research was carried out in two cycles, with four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results show that applying the outdoor study method can improve students' cognitive abilities. The achievement of student learning outcomes proves this before applying the outdoor study method in the learning process which can be said to be still low with an average score of 50 with a learning completion percentage of 28.6%. By applying the outdoor study method to the learning process it shows an increase in the first cycle; an average score of 69.28 was obtained, with the percentage of student learning completeness increasing to 66.7%, and in the second cycle, the average score was 80.0 with the student learning completion percentage being 95.2%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that applying the outdoor study method in elementary science learning can improve students' cognitive abilities. This is proven by an increase in student learning activities and an increase in the percentage of student learning completion at each meeting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan etnomatematika dan keterampilan mengajar menggunakan pendekatan etnomatematika guru sekolah dasar di SDN 018/VII Muara Tebo, implikasi pengetahuan etnomatika dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam mengimplementasikan pengetahuan etnomatematika di sekolah dasar.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Tebo Tengah, yaitu SDN 018/VII Muara Tebo. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan dua pendekatan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Penggunaan pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada guru kelas, kemudian data angket tersebut dianalisis untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan etnomatematika guru di sekolah dasar SDN 028/VII Muara Tebo. Pendekatan kualitatif dilakukan dengan mewawancarai guru kelas dan analisis dokumentasi, data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Miles dan Hubermen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata kemampuan etnomatematika guru berada pada angka 59,8% dengan kategori sedang. Hal ini menyatakan bahwa pengetahuan guru tentang pembelajaran matematika yang berbasis pada kebudayaan lokal masih rendah.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module based on local culture as a mathematics learning media to enhance elementary school students’ conceptual understanding. The research applied the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The study involved 28 fourth-grade students from an elementary school in Bungo as participants. Validation by content and media experts indicated that the e-module is highly feasible for use. Field trials showed that the e-module not only increased students’ interest in mathematics but also facilitated their conceptual understanding, as the material was presented within a familiar cultural context. The average score of students’ conceptual understanding improved from 64.2 in the pre-test to 85.3 in the post-test

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of an energy transformation teaching aid kit to improve the science process skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The type of research applied is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model. Data collection was carried out using expert validation questionnaires, as well as questionnaires for teachers and students, along with learning outcome tests. The research subjects included 6 fourth-grade students in a limited-scale trial, followed by 18 fourth-grade students from SDN 32/II Muara Bungo in a wider trial. The data were analyzed through tests of validity, practicality, and effectiveness using a Likert scale approach. The results of the analysis show that (1) The validity of the media obtained a score of 96% and the validity of the material obtained a score of 95%, both of which are categorized as highly valid. (2) Practicality was assessed with teacher scores of 94% and student scores of 93% in the limited trial, and teacher scores of 94% and student scores of 92% in the wider trial, all of which are categorized as highly practical. (3) Effectiveness showed a classical completeness of 100%, indicating it is highly effective. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed energy transformation teaching aid kit is highly valid, highly practical, and highly effective, making it suitable for improving the science process skills of elementary school students in Grade IV Science (IPAS) learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia siswa di SD Negeri 25/II Muara Bungo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 29 siswa dalam satu kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran yang sangat penting sebagai fasilitator, motivator, pembimbing, dan evaluator dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang interaktif seperti diskusi kelompok, membaca bersama, dan latihan menulis terbimbing terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan membaca siswa secara signifikan, meskipun kemampuan menulis masih memerlukan penguatan lebih lanjut. Faktor pendukung dalam penelitian ini meliputi lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan keterlibatan aktif siswa, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran dan perbedaan kemampuan siswa. Dengan demikian, optimalisasi peran guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia siswa secara efektif

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of learning difficulties of fifth grade students in the material of multiplication arithmetic operations, identify the factors causing them, and explain the efforts of teachers in overcoming these difficulties. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with subjects of 5 students and 1 teacher of fifth grade of Elementary School 129/II Babeko. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that (1) the forms of student learning difficulties include difficulty memorizing basic multiplication facts, understanding multiplication concepts, performing simple calculations, solving compound multiplication, and being less careful in calculating. (2) The factors causing learning difficulties come from internal factors in the form of low conceptual understanding and mastery of basic multiplication facts, as well as external factors in the form of lack of practice, learning support at home and the use of limited learning media. (3) Teachers' efforts in overcoming these difficulties are carried out through the use of concrete media, providing repeated practice, remedial learning, individual guidance, and learning motivation. Thus, students' learning difficulties in the material of multiplication arithmetic operations require appropriate handling so that students' understanding of mathematical concepts can improve. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for teachers in designing more effective learning strategies to improve the multiplication skills of elementary school students.
