Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) proses dan hasil produk pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis discovery learning, (2) kualitas multimedia pembelajaran matematika  yang meliputi kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu yaitu multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis discovery learning. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE. Multimedia pembelajaran digunakan oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. Subjek Penelitian yaitu 36 orang siswa kelas VIII A. Dalam penelitian ini tim validator menyatakan bahwa multimedia ini telah valid dan layak untuk di ujicobakan. Guru dan siswa memberikan respon positif dan menyatakan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran ini praktis dan mudah digunakan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa diperoleh peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam kategori sedang berdasarkan analisis Uji N-Gain yaitu skor yang didapatkan adalah 0,491 pada kriteria sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu multimedia yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis.Kata kunci: Berpikir kreatif; Discovery learning; Media pembelajaran. Abstract This study aims to describe (1) the process and product development of discovery learning-based mathematics learning media, (2) the quality of mathematics learning multimedia cover valid, practice and effective. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which is used to produce certain products, namely discovery learning-based mathematics learning multimedia. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE model. Multimedia learning is used by class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The research subjects were 36 students of class VIII A. In this study, the validator team stated that this multimedia was valid and deserved to be tested. Teachers and students gave positive responses and stated that this learning multimedia was practical and easy to use. The results of the study stated that an increase in students' mathematical creative thinking skills was obtained in the medium category based on the analysis of the N-Gain Test, namely the score obtained was 0.491 on the moderate criteria. It can be concluded that the developed learning multimedia can improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. Therefore, the multimedia developed can be used by teachers in the learning process on the flat-sided space building material to improve mathematical creative thinking skills.Keywords: Creative thinking; Discovery learning; Learning media

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan perangkat berbasis TPACK pada materi garis dan sudut ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dalam bentuk pdf dan di share melalui grup Whatshapp kelas yang disertai dengan video pembelajaran youtube, menerapkan perangkat tersebut, dan menganalisis keterkaitan antar komponen penyusun TPACK. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan menggunakan desain pengembangan model 4D dan subjek penelitian adalah kelas VII D MTs Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tanggapan peserta didik dan guru, lembar observasi, instrumen penilaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik serta instrumen integrasi TPACK untuk guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada pertemuan I sampai pertemuan VI termasuk pada kategori “baik”. Hasil evaluasi belajar peserta didik rata-rata 67 yang dikategorikan “baik”. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa RPP dan LKPD berbasis TPACK yang dikembangkan telah meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran peserta didik pada materi garis dan sudut, serta mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik

Abstract

One of the most important and potential problems encountered in an official online letter management application is the recipients' late response. This action research aims to improve the recipients' response time and determine the central core of shyness according to response time categories: less than 24 hours (green zone); between 24 hours to 48 hours (orange zone); and more than 48 hours (red zone) in managing formal online letter management system at Jambi University. Using the social representation theory of shyness as the basis of action adopted from Moscovici theory [1], it is hypothesized that response time displaying will impact response time improvement. A survey questionnaire distributed to 129 respondents showed a significant improvement in the participants' response time, respectively, in cycles 1 and 2. The zone group increased percentage sed from 22.44% to 52.49 % in the first cycle, and it ultimately raised to 62.38% at the end of the second cycle. Such an increase might be due to the users' efforts to avoid the level of shyness, which were classified into: (1) slow to respond and (2) personal or work unit late response time – both marked in red. It is recommended that social shyness incorporated in improving response time in a formal online letter can be further implemented with other social and psychological parameters. The application will illustrate computer systems' interaction on social society to implement regulations both in institutions and in government.

Abstract

This study concerned on the influence of constructivism and student self-efficacy approach to mathematical communication. The ability of mathematical communication and self-efficacy of student-controlled students is very important for students. This research sought to examine (1) the influence of learning approach of constructivism to mathematical communicative ability, (2) the influence of student self-efficacy toward student's mathematical communication ability, (3) influence of constructivism and student self-efficacy approach to students' mathematical communication ability. This is a quantitative research employing the pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design, the population in this study is all Year 7 students of junior high school. Data collection was done by student mathematical communication skills test and student self-efficacy attitude scale. This study found that the use of constructivism and self-efficacy approach significantly influence students' mathematical communication skills and there is no interaction between students’ mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy using the constructivism learning approach.

Abstract

Metode deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan komunikasi dan pemahaman matematis berdasarkan tipe kepribadian extrovert dan introvert. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif-kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SD dengan 1 siswa extrovert dan 1 siswa introvert. Pemilihan subjek berdasarkan teknik pengambilan cluster sampling dan purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis siswa extrovert cukup dengan persentase 75% dan profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis siswa introvert baik dengan persentase 81,25%. Profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan siswa extrovert baik dengan persentase 81,25% dan profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan siswa introvert kurang dengan persentase 56,25%. Profil kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa extrovert baik dengan persentase 81,25% dan profil kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa introvert sangat baik dengan persentase 87,50%.

Abstract

One of the problems in improving the competence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for mathematics teachers is that the teacher has to leave his / her teaching activities to participate in various improving competence events. This study aims to develop an ICT house portal that will be managed by the Mathematics Subject Teacher Forum in Indonesia or known as MGMP that allows teachers to interact with fellow teacher communities to improve ICT competence without having to leave their teaching activities at school. Furthermore, the researchers also conducted a usability test of the developed portal. The application development model used is the ADDIE model which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Meanwhile, application usability testing was carried out by distributing usability questionnaires to 30 respondents consisting of postgraduate students and lecturers of mathematics education. The results showed that the ADDIE model can be used to design and create the ICT house portal called RumahTIK where the procedures in the development section include making applications, testing by experts, testing content filling, testing the use of clinical features. Based on the results of the usability questionnaire processing, the percentage of usability was 81% which was classified as very feasible. Although this research was not implemented for real teacher groups, the ICT house portal is very suitable for use by the MGMP group. In the future, it is necessary to implement this portal in various MGMP groups so that recommendations can be obtained to improve teachers' ICT competence in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the NHT Integrated learning model on the ability to think creatively by controlling students' initial abilities. The method used is an experiment with anacova quantitative approach. The population is all students of class VII MTS. The sampling technique used by simple random sampling with 3 classes of samples. In the experimental class using the NHT integrated learning model and the control class using conventional NHT learning models. Data were collected using written test techniques, data analysis techniques in hypothesis testing using ancova with 3 x 1 factorial and continued with further testing. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that (1) There is an influence of the NHT integrated learning model on the ability to think creatively by controlling the early ability of mathematics. Given the value of Fcount = 8.96> Ftable 3.15 and significance of SPSS 0.000 compared to the value of α (0.05) then 0.000 <0.05 and the hypothesis is accepted. (2) There is a different effect of NHT integrated learning model on the ability to think creatively by controlling the initial ability of mathematics. With the value of Fcount = 49.192> Ftable 3.15 and the significance of SPSS 0.000 when compared with the value of α (0.05) then 0.000 <0.05 and the hypothesis is accepted. This difference is seen in the significance level of SPSS 0.001 <0.05, which means that the learning model in the experimental class is better than the control class learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process, specifications, and teacher perception about developing a teacher guide module in making mathematical assessment instruments based on mathematical problem-solving. This research used Research and Development method is used to produce certain products namely the teacher guide module. The development model used in this study is the development model that has been combined from (Marshall, 2009) (Bishopb, 2012) (Rusdi, 2018)became the reference, while in this development research only arrived at producing products and not tested on a student. The steps consist the analysis of problems and needs, literature review, product design, validity, a trial practitioners. The research subjects in this development were two validators consisting of material expert test validators. The type of data taken in this study is qualitative data. The instrument used in the study was an open questionnaire. The stages of the process of developing are (a) Analysis of problems and needs, (b) Literature review, (c) Product design, (d) Validity, (e) Trial of practitioners. The product specifications developed in the module are three chapters on introduction, concepts, and procedures along with examples using the type of problem-solving, namely problem-solving and story problem design. The teacher's perception of the teacher guideline module is positive, from five practitioners recommending that it be used as a guide in making problem-solving questions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is In 21st century learning students are required to be more active in learning than teachers, therefore this study aims to determine whether there is an influence between the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and the ability to solve problems. Methodology: Using quantitative descriptive. Where, the number of samples in this study were 436 students from SMP 11 Jambi City who used purposive sampling technique. Data were then analyzed with the help of SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in the form of mean, min, max, and category as well as inferential statistics using simple regression. Finding: The results obtained in this study are dominant both in the ability of student problem solving and the effectiveness of the LAPS-Heuristic learning model in mathematics lessons. With this, it is strengthened by the existence of a relationship and influence between the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and the students' problem solving abilities seen from the sig value below 0.025, which is 0.019 and has a contribution of 70.3%.

Abstract

This article reports on the ability of feeble-minded or mentally retarded students in mathematical recall and problem-solving processes. In particular, this study investigated whether recall ability can affect feeble-minded students' ability to work on mathematical problems. This research was conducted using a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory research design. The sample of this study consisted of 34 feeble-minded students. The findings show that the ability of feeble-minded students to solve mathematical problems and their recall abilities were categorized as fair Another finding is that the ability to recall had a 62.1% effect on the ability to work on mathematical problems. The contribution of this study is that feeble-minded students' ability to work on mathematical problems is greatly influenced by their ability in the mathematical recall process.
