Abstract

The role of the teacher is crucial in determining the learning model and plays a vital role in student learning outcomes. The model chosen must be in accordance with the characteristics of the class, besides that students have a tendency not to listen to the teacher's explanation if students are less involved in the process, then the carousel feedback learning model can present the missing element, which is more involved students in the learning process. This research is an experimental research, and uses Pre-Experimental Designs research design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research technique. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes before applying the carousel feedback learning model are known in the high category as many as 1 person or 3.9%, 21 people or 80.7% in the medium category, and 4 people or 15.4% in the low category, then student learning outcomes after applying the carousel feedback learning model in the high category as many as 3 people or 11.5%, 20 people or 77% in the medium category, and 3 people or 11.5% in the low category, so there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after the application of the carousel feedback learning model. The increase in student learning outcomes in the high category from 3.9% to 11.5% is also reinforced by the results of hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS 26 which shows that the sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.00 0.05 which indicates that the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and shows a significant difference, so it can be concluded that the application of carousel feedback learning media can improve the learning outcomes of ninth grade students in PAI subjects at SMP Negeri 55 Palembang.

Abstract

Many learning theories exist in the realm of education, with cognitive learning theory being one of the most commonly used, especially in Indonesia. This particular theory is considered quite effective in its practical application. The main aim of this research is to explore the implementation of cognitive learning theory in the context of PAI (Islamic Education) subjects at SMA N. Using descriptive qualitative methodology, this research explores the analysis of various resources such as books and scientific articles. The findings of this investigation demonstrate the efficacy of cognitive learning theory when used in the educational environment of t State Middle School, especially in the PAI subject area. This efficacy underscores the importance of educators' creativity in utilizing a variety of learning strategies, methodologies, and resources to ensure successful implementation of cognitive learning theory. In addition, it is very important for educators to recognize and overcome the limitations of cognitive theory to optimize the learning process.

Abstract

Pengendalian manajemen dalam konteks pendidikan merupakan suatu aspek penting dalam memastikan efektivitas dan efisiensi operasional sekolah. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pengendalian manajemen oleh Pemerintah Kota Palembang dalam mengelola sekolah-sekolah di wilayahnya guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melibatkan wawancara dengan pihak terkait serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Palembang telah mengimplementasikan berbagai strategi pengendalian manajemen, termasuk pengawasan, perencanaan, pengorganisasian, dan pengkoordinasian. Pengawasan dilakukan melalui evaluasi berkala terhadap kinerja sekolah dan penggunaan dana pendidikan. Perencanaan terfokus pada penetapan sasaran dan kebijakan pendidikan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan lokal. Pengorganisasian melibatkan alokasi sumber daya yang tepat serta pembentukan tim kerja untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Pengkoordinasian dilakukan dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak terkait, seperti orang tua siswa, komunitas, dan lembaga pendidikan lainnya. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam implementasi pengendalian manajemen, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan teknologi informasi, serta perbedaan dalam pemahaman konsep pengendalian manajemen di tingkat sekolah. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar Pemerintah Kota Palembang terus melakukan pembenahan dalam hal peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, penguatan infrastruktur teknologi informasi, serta penyediaan panduan yang jelas mengenai konsep dan aplikasi pengendalian manajemen di sekolah-sekolah. Dengan demikian, diharapkan kualitas pendidikan di Kota Palembang dapat terus meningkat sesuai dengan harapan semua pihak yang terlibat.Management control in the context of education is an important aspect in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of school operations. This study aims to analyse the implementation of management control by the Palembang City Government in managing schools in its area to improve the quality of education. The research method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach, involving interviews with relevant parties as well as documentation studies. The results show that the Palembang city government has implemented various management control strategies, including supervision, planning, organising and coordinating. Supervision is conducted through regular evaluations of school performance and the use of education funds. Planning focuses on setting education goals and policies that suit local needs. Organising involves the proper allocation of resources and the formation of work teams to support the teaching and learning process. Coordinating involves involving various stakeholders such as parents, communities and other educational institutions. Nevertheless, there are still some challenges in implementing management control, such as limited human resources and information technology, as well as differences in understanding the concept of management control at the school level. Therefore, it is recommended that the Palembang city government continue to make improvements in terms of increasing the capacity of human resources, strengthening information technology infrastructure, and providing clear guidelines on the concept and application of management control in schools. Thus, it is expected that the quality of education in Palembang City can continue to improve in accordance with the expectations of all parties involved.
