Abstract

This article analyzes the role of Islamic banks in supporting monetary policy in Indonesia and its impact on national economic stability. Using library research methods, this research examines relevant literature regarding the development of the sharia banking sector and sharia-based monetary instruments. The research results show that Islamic banks make a significant contribution to stabilizing inflation, increasing financial access, and managing liquidity through instruments such as the Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificate (SBIS) and the sharia interbank money market. In addition, Islamic banks play a role in providing financing for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which is important for inclusive economic growth. Nevertheless, challenges such as low sharia financial literacy and limited policy instruments need to be overcome to maximize the contribution of sharia banks to monetary policy. This research is expected to provide in-depth insight into the potential and challenges faced by Islamic banks in supporting the stability of the Indonesian economy.

Abstract

Sharia-based monetary policy instruments, such as the Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificate (SBIS) and the Sharia Interbank Money Market (PUAS), contribute significantly to liquidity stability and expand access to sharia banking services. Even though the sharia banking sector continues to grow, the market share of the national banking industry is still relatively small due to low financial literacy, limited infrastructure and global economic challenges. This research highlights the importance of strengthening sharia financial literacy, developing digital infrastructure, as well as collaboration between the government, private sector and Bank Indonesia to overcome these obstacles. Strategic recommendations are provided to increase sharia-based financial inclusion which is expected to become a model for countries where the majority of the population is Muslim.

Abstract

This paper examines the influence of financial education on personal financial management practices of Generation Z. A quantitative method with a survey approach was used, involving 30 Generation Z respondents (aged 17-25 years) through questionnaires and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate a significant influence of financial education on wise financial management practices. Generation Z with adequate financial education tends to be more able to budget, save, invest, and avoid impulsive debt. Conversely, the lack of financial education makes them vulnerable to unwise financial decisions. This paper highlights the importance of integrating financial education into the curriculum and self-development programs to improve literacy and healthy financial practices among Generation Z. This study also discusses the challenges faced by Generation Z in managing finances in the digital era, such as a consumptive lifestyle influenced by social media and e-commerce.

Abstract

Technological advancements and the transition from traditional to online shopping have significantly impacted consumer behavior. The availability of various online marketplace platforms has changed shopping habits, modified purchasing trends, and shaped overall consumption decisions. This study examines the influence of income, Islamic financial literacy, and social media on consumer behavior in Java, Indonesia. This study used quantitative methods. Data were collected through questionnaires from residents of Central Java. The study sample, consisting of 530 respondents, was obtained using simple random sampling. The independent variables included income, Islamic financial literacy, and social media, while the dependent variable was consumer behavior. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS software, which involves a structural model (inner model) and a measurement model (outer model). This study revealed that Islamic financial literacy and social media have a significant impact on consumer behavior, while income showed no significant effect. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) of 0.702 (70%), indicates that income, Islamic financial literacy, and social media collectively influence 70% of consumer behavior, with the remaining 30% being due to unexplored factors. The transformation of the digital economy has had a multidimensional impact on consumption behavior, from psychological to economic. Therefore, understanding these changes is crucial for academics, business practitioners, and policymakers in designing adaptive strategies for the digital ecosystem.
