Abstract

Science Process Skills are abilities that students must possess because they are applicable not only to science learning but also to daily life. To be familiar with scientific method activities, students must have direct experience in order to be trained in Science Process Skills. This study aims to enhance students' Science Process Skills through hybrid android interface mode practicum learning. The research data was collected using description questions previously validated by subject matter experts. This study conducted quasi-experiments using the Nonquivalent (pretest-posttest) Control Group Design method. The research participants included control and experimental groups. The research results show an increase in Science Process Skills in the experiment class as evidenced by the achievement of aspects of observation 71.25%, interpretation 78.25%, classification 86.12%, prediction 84.45%, conducting experiments or investigations 83.34%, communicating 63.33%, hypothesizing 79.63%, applying concepts 88.34%, and asking questions 82.43%. It shows that the practicum mode of the hybrid Android interface can develop Science Process Skills

Abstract

This research was aimed to produce Nature-Based Worksheet on Ecology Material at grade VII that could improve students’ research skill and environmental awareness. This research was a research and development by adopting procedure of four-D (4D) which was modified into 3D namely define, design, and development phase. The nature-based worksheet consisted of three main activities which are observation, research planning and research conduction. Validity instrument were correspondence with basic competence, content writing and grammar conformity and correspondence with nature-based learning aspect. The result of the research showed valid for relevancy with learning outcomes, suitability of content and grammar, and suitability of nature-based learning.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this community service is to design STEM-ESD-based learning for high school teachers to foster a sustainable lifestyle for students. Research methodology: The training used the lesson study (plan-do-see) activity pattern. This community service was carried out for teachers in Tasikmalaya City and Regency with approximately 30 participants through four meetings. Results: The results showed that teachers can determine materials, identify problems, and create teaching modules. In the open lesson activity, the implementation of learning was carried out optimally, and all students were monitored actively and participated in the activities well. The participant responses were also good. Conclusions: Most teachers were able to create content representations (COREs) for concepts that would be used in the teaching module. Teachers also felt that the training had succeeded in broadening their horizons and providing useful knowledge related to STEM-ESD-based teaching. Limitations: The training period was limited, potentially limiting the ability to comprehensively capture long-term changes. The training participants faced challenges in selecting the right materials to be taught through the STEM-ESD approach as well as in identifying and formulating the problems that needed to be solved. Nevertheless, participants' responses to the training were positive. Contribution: This training provides new knowledge to high school teachers that STEM-ESD-based learning can train students to think critically and creatively, solve problems using technology, and foster a sustainable lifestyle for students.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Indonesia salah satu negara yang tengah memperjuangkan dalam pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Menindaklanjuti hal itu, lewat pendidikan bisa menopang dalam pencapaian tujuan. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler SISPALA berpotensi untuk pencapiaan SDGs. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis potensi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler SISPALA untuk mendukung tercapainya pembangunan berkelanjutan. Subjek dan Metode: Metode yang digunakan yaitu literature review dengan mengkaji artikel temuan yang sesuai dengan studi. Hasil: Hasil yang ditemukan SISPALA bisa memaksimalkan program susur sungai mengadaptasi program River Cleanup. Tujuan yang ditargetkan adalah SDG 6 air dan sanitasi. Pada program ini juga bisa mengembangkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa serta mengembangkan kompetensi kunci berkelanjutan yaitu system thinking dan self- awareness. Dalam kaitannya, program ini juga bisa menguatkan kegiatan intrakurikuler pada mata pelajaran biologi terutama materi perubahan lingkungan dan keanekaragaman hayati. Selain itu, learning objective muncul dari dimensi kognitif, sosio-emosional dan behavioral untuk penguatan intrakurikuler dari peserta didik yang ikut pada program ini. Kesimpulan: Program susur sungai berbasis River Cleanup dalam Sispala berpotensi mendukung SDG 6 melalui konservasi lingkungan dan akses air bersih. Kegiatan ini mengembangkan kompetensi siswa yaitu system thinking, dan self-awareness, memperkuat pembelajaran biologi pada materi ekosistem dan perubahan lingkungan, serta menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan melalui pendekatan multidimensi (kognitif, sosio-emosional, dan perilaku) yang mendorong pendidikan holistik dan keberlanjutan ekosistem
