Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) terhadap minat belajar di kalangan mahasiswa generasi Z, dengan studi kasus pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi di Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED). Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan regresi linear sederhana untuk menguji hubungan antara variabel independen (penggunaan AI) dan variabel dependen (minat belajar). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner daring menggunakan Google Form, dengan total sampel sebanyak 33 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang linear antara penggunaan AI dan minat belajar mahasiswa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan AI berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat belajar, artinya semakin tinggi tingkat penggunaan AI yang dilakukan, maka minat belajar mahasiswa cenderung semakin meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, penggunaan AI secara konsisten berhubungan dengan peningkatan motivasi, pemahaman materi, serta ketertarikan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti perkuliahan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi AI dapat dijadikan salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan minat belajar di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of population growth rates and poverty on economic growth in North Sumatra Province for the 2012-2023 period. The research method used is a quantitative method. The regression analysis method is multiple linear regression using the Eviews 12 program and the data used is a time series from 2012-2023 sourced from the North Sumatra Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS SUMUT). The results of the analysis show that the variable values of population growth rate and poverty have a positive but not significant effect on economic growth in North Sumatra.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the leading sectors in Deli Serdang Regency using the Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share Analysis (SSA) methods. The research was conducted using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data from 2019-2023. The results of the LQ analysis show that five sectors, namely the processing industry, electricity and gas procurement, construction, transportation and warehousing, as well as the provision of funds and food and drink are the leading sectors with LQ values ​​> 1. SSA analysis strengthens these findings by showing that leading sectors have strong local competitiveness, especially the transportation and warehousing sectors which have a positive Regional Shift Effect. On the other hand, some sectors such as the processing industry, although making a significant contribution to GRDP, show a decline in local competitiveness, indicating the need for policy intervention. This research provides a strong basis for local governments to allocate resources and investment more effectively to support sustainable economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of economic growth and minimum wages on poverty rates in Medan City during the period 2010–2024. Poverty remains a central issue in development despite positive economic dynamics and annual minimum wage adjustments. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), including annual data on economic growth, minimum wages, and poverty rates. The results of the analysis show that economic growth has a positive and significant effect on poverty with a significance value of 0.024, indicating that economic growth has not reached all levels of society evenly. Conversely, minimum wages do not have a significant effect on poverty, indicated by a significance value of 0.880. Simultaneously, both variables do not have a significant effect on poverty (sig. = 0.068). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.361 indicates that the model is only able to explain 36.1% of the variation in poverty rates. This finding emphasizes the need for poverty alleviation policies that are inclusive, integrated, and oriented towards equitable distribution of development results.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the influence of TikTok usage intensity and parental roles on the learning motivation of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Medan. This research employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design. The population consisted of 154 tenth-grade students, and the sample was selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and Likert-scale questionnaires, while data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results showed the regression equation Y = 9.293 – 0.212X₁ + 0.942X₂. Partially, TikTok usage intensity had a negative and significant effect on learning motivation (tcount = -2.996; sig. = 0.003 < 0.05), while parental roles had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation (tcount = 16.312; sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). Simultaneously, TikTok usage intensity and parental roles significantly affected students’ learning motivation (Fcount = 137.787; sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination indicated that both variables contributed 64.1% to students’ learning motivation, while the remaining 35.9% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that TikTok usage intensity and parental roles have a significant influence on the learning motivation of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 154 siswa kelas X, dengan sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket skala Likert, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persamaan regresi Y = 9,293 – 0,212X₁ + 0,942X₂. Secara parsial, intensitas penggunaan TikTok berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar (thitung = -2,996; sig. = 0,003 < 0,05), sedangkan peran orang tua berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar (thitung = 16,312; sig. = 0,000 < 0,05). Secara simultan, intensitas penggunaan TikTok dan peran orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa (Fhitung = 137,787; sig. = 0,000 < 0,05). Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel memberikan kontribusi sebesar 64,1% terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, sedangkan 35,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan TikTok dan peran orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 10 Medan.
