Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris antara siswa pria dan wanita di kelas 9 SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah uji Mann-Whitney U Test terhadap data nilai ulangan harian siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan dalam prestasi belajar antara kedua kelompok, dengan nilai Mann-Whitney U Statistik sebesar 146.5 (p < 0.05). Siswa wanita memiliki rata-rata nilai yang lebih tinggi (56.25) dibandingkan siswa pria (49.33), meskipun kedua kelompok masih di bawah KKM yang ditetapkan. Simpulan utama dari penelitian ini adalah adanya perbedaan signifikan dalam prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris antara siswa pria dan wanita di kelas 9 SMP.

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan, perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi mendorong proses pembelajaran untuk menjadi lebih menarik serta memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran dan siswa dapat mengaplikasikan ilmu yang diperoleh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu yang sangat dikenal oleh masyarakat yaitu ChatGPT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa S2 terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei menggunakan pendekatan TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Google Form. Teknik analisis data berupa deskriptif dengan presentase respon mahasiswa. Seluruh data yang sudah dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan IBM SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mempunyai persepsi positif terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran serta ada perbedaan yang signifikan dari persepsi penggunaan ChatGPT oleh laki-laki dan permpuan dalam pembelajaran dengan indikator kemudahan penggunaan, manfaat, sikap, dan niat terkait penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the learning styles of students in social studies learning in class VII E of SMPN 10 Pontianak. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is clear that: 1. In implementing social studies learning, there are three stages carried out, namely a). Learning planning by creating learning tools that address students' learning styles, learning tools in the form of teaching modules, models, methods and media b). Implementation of learning with models, methods and learning media that are not commensurate with students' learning styles c). Learning evaluation includes formative and summative assessments 2. Learning styles of class students in learning in class VII E include: a). Visual learning style focuses on viewing image and video media b). Auditory learning style focuses on listening to lectures and discussions c). The kinesthetic learning style focuses on practice or moving using body movements as a guide. 3. Factors that influence students' learning styles are: a). Emotional b). Environment.

Abstract

The research was conducted to understand the implementation of Social Studies (IPS) teaching in the Independent Learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. This research used a qualitative method, with data collection techniques involving field observations, interviews (with IPS subject teachers, curriculum vice principals, and students), and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that: (1) The implementation of IPS teaching in the Independent Learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak involves the use of teaching modules in the IPS learning process. The designed teaching modules are tailored to the components of the teaching modules, meeting the needs of the students. Various teaching methods are used, including group discussions in the form of mind mapping and practical activities. (2) Challenges in implementing IPS teaching in the Independent Learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak include the unattractive content of the platform, a lack of guidance for developing teaching modules, limited time for preparing various teaching methods, and a shortage of reading materials. (3) Efforts made to address the challenges of implementing IPS teaching in the Independent Learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak include searching for online references related to teaching modules, creating a timeline for developing various teaching methods, and searching for reading materials on the internet related to the Independent Learning curriculum, as well as participating in Independent Learning curriculum training.

Abstract

There is a perspective if intellectual intelligence is the only factor in achieve learning achievement so that efforts to develop emotional intelligence do not noticed. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on social science learning achievement in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang. This research using quantitative methods with a population of 112 from class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang. Sampling using the simple random sampling technique, so obtained a sample of 88. Data collection using a questionnaire and social science value data as research instrument, then to look for the effect of emotional intelligence on achievement study social science using a simple linear regression test using SPSS 24. From the results of data collection known if there are 47 samples that have high emotional intelligence and 41 with a level moderate, then from the Social science final exam scores there were 76 samples who passed and 12 people did not complete. It was found that the R square value was 0.616, this result is significant if emotional intelligence affect social science learning achievement by 61.6%. From the value of R square it can be concluded if intelligence emotional has an influence on social science learning achievement in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine and obtain data regarding the relationship between critical thinking skills and academic achievement in students of the Social Studies Education study program at Tanjungpura University. The method used is a quantitative approach in the form of Ex Post Facto. The population in this study were students of the Social Studies Education study program, FKIP, Tanjungpura University, class of 2022, 2023, and 2024, consisting of 104 students with a research sample of 83 students taken based on a non-probability sampling technique with a voluntary sampling type. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that there was no significant relationship between critical thinking skills and academic achievement, namely the sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.196 (p>0.05) and the correlation coefficient value of 0.143, which means that the relationship between critical thinking skills and academic achievement has a very low (very weak) correlation level even though it has a positive value (0.143). The conclusion of this study indicates that critical thinking skills are not the sole benchmark for achieving good academic achievement and can be caused by internal factors such as self-motivation and external factors such as the existence of digital literacy and artificial intelligence (AI) that provide convenience to individuals. Respondents' critical thinking skills are also not in line with GPA values ​​due to the tendency for students to easily obtain GPA scores and are one of the indicators for assessing the study program accreditation system to achieve the "Excellent" category which is measured by the high average GPA of students in the last 3 years.
