Teachers as role models have a very strategic position and role in all educational efforts. The position of teachers as professional educators functions to increase the dignity and role of teachers as learning agents in improving the quality of national education. In realizing professional work principles. Indonesian teachers, especially Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, are required to have pedagogical, personality, social and professional competencies in accordance with developments in science and technology. Abstract

The Qur'an instructs humans develop knowledge to thinking about how heavens earth, observe, and research the universe. The Qur'an challenges humans examine the universe down to its smallest detail. This Qur'an paradigm clearly gives birth to normative premises which can be formulated into empirical and rational theories based on general knowledge (science). The views of some people still think that science and religion stand in their respective positions, because the field of science relies on empirical data, while religion relies on doctrines that are occult. The solution to the above phenomenon is by integrating Islamic knowledge based on the Qur'an. The problem is how is the integration between science and religion in the view of the Qur'an? And what kind of integration can be between religion and science? This research is an exploratory research using a qualitative approach with research of references from journals and scientific works. The Qur'an has created this climate making knowledge a central form of Muslim consciousness, which mediates between faith and charity. The approach in integrating Islamic religious knowledge with general knowledge (science) is an integrative-interconnective approach whereby religious and scientific knowledge process of objectification where non-Muslims perceive this knowledge as appropriately, not as religious act.

Abstract

Education is one of the breaker ropes of poverty. But has every citizen received education to the highest level? What about the education for all program? The basic conception of educational equity aimed at equality in education and equity in education does not seem to go hand in hand and can even be said to be opposite each other in order to educate the nation's life. The principle of education for all that is often echoed is also still dealing with discrimination against society on the basis of class and status in obtaining justice and educational opportunities. Various assumptions are put forward starting from government policies which are considered to change frequently, public awareness of the importance of education is still not optimal, the process of providing education is felt to be too expensive, and on the other hand free education policy propaganda offers public wishful thinking which is sometimes not in line with the reality of the cost of education that must be paid. issued by society. This paper wants to discuss a bit of the conflict between free education policies and the practice of educational capitalism which is often found in the midst of globalization and amidst the demands of stakeholders for the importance of education.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of the role of Islamic education in the modern era. According to Quraish Shihab, achieving the perfect quality of education does not only require the role of educators and students, but more than that, it must pay attention to all things, both personnel and other roles that allow potential in developing Islamic education. Quraish Shihab wants the concept of Islamic education to be based on the Quran, therefore the concept of Islamic education must be taken from Islamic sources, one of which is the Quran, Quraish Shihab calls it Quranic education. This research can be said to be a character study, which is one type of qualitative research. The nature of a character study is an in-depth, systematic, critical study of a character's history, original ideas or ideas, and the socio-historical context surrounding the character being studied. This type of research is included in qualitative research (library research) which examines a theoretical and in-depth study so that conclusions will be obtained. Based on the analysis of the results of research conducted on the concept of Islamic education in the perspective of Quraish Shihab, there are several things that are concluded as follows: First, Quraish Shihab says that in the Qur'an there are aspects that include Islamic education, namely: the purpose of Islamic education, the method of Islamic education, the nature of Islamic education, and the material of Islamic education. Second, in the context of education according to Quraish Shihab there are roles and responsibilities given to Muslim intellectuals. Third, in the elaboration of the concept of curriculum, several characteristics are needed that must be met so that the curriculum is in harmony with the values contained in the book of Allāh Swt (Al-Qur'an).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of education in traditional Islamic boarding schools which have not been touched by modernization in the form of classical learning methods even though the curriculum has changed and methods have developed a lot. The results of this research are that the Tarbiyah Islamiyah Pasia Islamic boarding school has two curricula, namely the Islamic boarding school curriculum and the independent curriculum, and the 2013 curriculum. The implementation of the learning process in the government curriculum uses a student center approach. However, for the Islamic boarding school curriculum, it cannot be implemented using an independent curriculum, especially if it uses a student center approach. At this Islamic boarding school, students are not allowed to bring cell phones and access to the internet is only provided in the laboratory. Meanwhile, the problem that occurs today is teachers who cannot use technology quickly. Then the teacher is not ready to use student center-based learning methods. And also students who do not realize the potential in religious schools are preaching, while not all students are interested in preaching and this Islamic boarding school has not facilitated that.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of the role of Islamic education in the modern era. The foundation of Islamic education, namely the Qur'an and Hadith, is the main reference for reform after renewal in the context of its implementation of the development of education in the Islamic world which continues to develop. In Indonesia itself, the implementation of national education is regulated in Law No. 20 concerning the National Education System. No less important, the reform is certainly inseparable from the role of Islamic figures who struggle through their thoughts so that Islamic education continues to go hand in hand and not be left behind even though the times continue to develop. The purpose of this research is specific to one of the figures of Islamic modernization, namely Ibn Khaldun. From his perspective, Ibn Khaldun gave criticism as well as improvement of the Islamic education system. In this context, Ibn Khaldun conveyed his ideas regarding the modernization of the educational process. In this study, Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on his views on the concept of modernization offered as a form of realization by the Indonesian nation itself as outlined in the National Education System Law, and also its implementation on the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. This type of research is included in qualitative research (library research) which examines a theoretical and in-depth study so that conclusions will be obtained. The results of this study show that there is a conformity between Ibn Khaldun's thinking views regarding the concept of modernization offered to its implementation in the management of the Islamic education system. Its relevance to the current Islamic education process is that Islamic education should not only be directed to theoretical understanding, but also need to be faced with social reality, systematic teaching materials, maturation of the foundation of Islamic values, so that a generation that is able to be competitive in Indonesia in today's modern world is born. Not only that, the thought of modernizing Islamic education offered by Ibn Khaldun also has an impact on the policies taken with the goals and values agreed upon in the regulations in accordance with the demands of the times.
