Abstract

Traffic violations by motorcyclists are a serious problem that often occurs in urban areas and contribute to high accident rates and congestion. This article examines the legal aspects of these violations by examining the applicable legal provisions, especially in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation (LLAJ Law), and evaluating the effectiveness of its law enforcement. This study uses a normative legal method and is supported by empirical data from the Traffic Police regarding the most common types of violations in big cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya. The results show that although legal sanctions have been regulated, weak law enforcement and low public legal awareness are the main obstacles. A more humanistic and educative approach is needed in the implementation of traffic law enforcement.

Abstract

Inclusive learning in elementary schools emphasizes accessibility and diversity in education, ensuring that all students can learn without discrimination. Differentiated Instruction (DI) is an important approach in supporting inclusive learning by adjusting teaching methods based on students' needs, interests, and learning styles. However, the implementation of DI still faces various challenges, such as lack of teacher understanding, limited resources, and education policies that do not support curriculum flexibility. This study uses a literature study method to analyze the implementation of DI in inclusive learning in elementary schools. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of DI can improve student motivation and academic outcomes, but requires teacher readiness through ongoing training and more flexible policy support. In addition, the integration of learning technology can help overcome the constraints of differentiation in heterogeneous classes. Therefore, synergy is needed between the government, schools, and the education community in providing resources and regulations that support the success of DI. With the right strategy, DI has the potential to create a more inclusive, adaptive, and effective learning environment in improving the quality of elementary education

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of emotional literacy and mental health integration in the elementary school curriculum, focusing on their impact on children's social, emotional, and academic development. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 10 Makassar using a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as direct observation of the implementation of emotional literacy and mental health. The results indicate that although there have been efforts to introduce emotional literacy, its implementation is still limited to ad-hoc activities and has not been systematically integrated into the curriculum. Mental health integration is also still responsive to emerging problems, rather than structured prevention. Some challenges faced include limited time within the curriculum, lack of training for teachers, and stigma surrounding mental health issues. However, there is significant potential to improve this education system with better training support for teachers and a change in school culture that is more open to mental health issues. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more holistic curriculum, one that focuses not only on academic achievement but also on students' emotional and psychological well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost) regions, focusing on the challenges, opportunities, and impacts faced in the context of specific local needs. The Independent Curriculum, introduced in 2021, aims to give educational institutions autonomy in developing curricula tailored to student needs and local contexts. Despite its significant potential for improving the quality of education, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in 3T regions faces various obstacles, including limited infrastructure, limited access to technology, and a shortage of trained teaching staff. This study used qualitative methods with a descriptive analytical approach, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies in two 3T regions: North Lombok Regency and Mahakam Hulu Regency. The results show that although project-based learning and the concept of "learning independence" can be implemented well, successful implementation depends heavily on the provision of adequate resources and ongoing training for teachers. In conclusion, although the Independent Curriculum has significant potential to improve the quality of education in 3T regions, challenges related to resources and teacher readiness must be addressed immediately for this curriculum to be implemented effectively

Abstract

Errors in arrest, known as "errors in persona," are one of the fundamental problems in the criminal justice system that demands serious attention. This phenomenon not only reflects the failure of law enforcement officials to carry out their duties, but also raises various adverse implications, both for individuals who are victims of wrongful arrest and for public trust in the integrity of the legal system. In a country of law that prioritizes the principles of justice and legal certainty, errors in arrest are serious challenges that can injure these basic principles. Police investigators, as one of the main actors in the law enforcement process, play a very vital role in ensuring that any action taken is in accordance with applicable legal procedures. They are responsible for making arrests, detentions, and investigations based on sufficient evidence and with regard to human rights. However, in reality, in practice mistakes often occur that lead to the arrest of innocent people. These mistakes can occur due to a variety of factors, including a lack of adequate evidence, pressure to resolve cases quickly, errors in suspect identification, or even practices that violate the ethics of investigator professionalism. Errors in person not only have an impact on the victims who are directly affected, such as psychological trauma, social stigma, and material loss, but also have broader legal consequences. This mistake can damage the credibility of law enforcement officials, create public distrust, and ultimately erode the legitimacy of the legal institution itself. In a broader context, error in persona also interferes with the principle of justice that should be the main foundation in the criminal justice system. This study aims to analyze the impact of error in persona with a special focus on the accountability of police investigators in cases of wrongful arrest. This research will examine how the accountability mechanism of investigators is regulated in the Indonesian legal system, as well as how the rules are applied in various concrete cases. In addition, this research will also explore the legal aspects that govern protection for victims of wrongful arrest, including recovery and compensation mechanisms, as well as an evaluation of the effectiveness of existing regulations. One of the important issues that will be discussed is the extent to which investigators can be held legally accountable, both criminally, civilly, and administratively, when an arrest is made. In this case, the study will highlight whether the current regulations are adequate to hold investigators accountable, or whether there are still legal loopholes that allow investigators to escape responsibility for the mistakes that occurred. Furthermore, this study will also discuss the social and psychological implications of error in persona, especially how the public views cases of wrongful arrest and its impact on public trust in law enforcement officials. Thus, this research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of better legal policies, as well as provide constructive recommendations to prevent the recurrence of arrest errors in the future.

Abstract

The education funding crisis has a significant impact on the quality of facilities, curriculum innovation, and student achievement. Budget shortfalls result in the degradation of physical facilities such as damaged classrooms and limited access to technology, which directly reduce student motivation and participation in the learning process. In addition, the funding crisis exacerbates educational inequalities between well-equipped and under-funded schools, widening the socio-economic gap. Lack of funding also hampers the development of innovative curricula, such as STEM-based learning and digital literacy, which are increasingly needed in the era of globalization and the industrial revolution 4.0. Without adequate investment, efforts to modernize the curriculum and improve teacher skills are severely limited, limiting students' readiness to face the challenges of the future world of work. This decline in the quality of education results in lower academic achievement and exacerbates social inequities, where students from low-income backgrounds find it more difficult to improve their social status. Therefore, solutions to the education funding crisis require greater budget allocation, infrastructure renewal, and adaptive curriculum development to reduce social inequality and support sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the horizontal education model in alternative learning communities, focusing on the implementation of the "classless school" concept at Sanggar Anak Alam (SALAM) Yogyakarta. Traditional education systems that tend to be hierarchical and rely on memorization as the primary method often neglect active student engagement and the development of critical skills. As an alternative, the horizontal education model offers a more flexible and inclusive approach by emphasizing equality between teachers and students, project-based learning, and cross-age collaboration. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach and a pre-test post-test control group method. The results showed that the horizontal education model significantly improved students' academic achievement, creativity, collaboration, learning independence, and learning satisfaction. These findings provide empirical evidence supporting the transition to a more student-centered education system that is relevant to the challenges of the modern world. This education model has the potential to be adapted in the context of global education to create a more inclusive, progressive, and sustainable learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of political feminization in village government, focusing on the role of women in male-dominated local politics and the challenges they face in confronting patriarchal structures. Although women's participation in village governance is increasing, entrenched patriarchal structures remain limited space for women to make significant political decisions. In this context, political feminization contributes to a shift in policy priorities and a more inclusive and collaborative leadership style. However, the main challenge women face are the cultural and systemic barriers that limit their access to power. Although gender quotas and affirmative policies provide opportunities for women, their effectiveness is highly dependent on women's ability to leverage their positions in local political structures. The study concludes that to achieve deeper gender equality, structural changes in social norms are needed, as well as increased educational and economic access for women. The feminization of local politics is not only about numerical representation, but also about empowering women in the process of making policies that are more responsive to their needs.
