Abstract

The main problem in this research is how to apply the use of acrostic cartoons to improve fourth grade students' poetry writing skills. This research aims to improve poetry writing skills by using acrostic cards in class IV students of Madrsah Ibtidaiyah (MIN) 1 Jeneponto.           This type of research is class action research (Class Action Research) which consists of 2 cycles where each cycle is carried out in 4 meetings. Research procedures include planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this research were 15 class IV students of Madrsah Ibtidaiyah (MIN) 1 Jeneponto.                  The results of the research showed that in cycle I, of the 15 students who completed it individually, only 7 students met the minimum completion criteria of KKM 70 or were in the very low category. Classically it has not been fulfilled because the average score obtained was 46.6%, whereas in cycle II where out of 15 students there were 12 people who had fulfilled the KKM 70 and classically it had been fulfilled, namely the average score obtained was 80% or was in the category tall.                  Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded the results of the poetry writing skills of class IV students of Madrsah Ibtidaiyah (MIN) 1 Jeneponto. through the use of acrostic cartoons has increased.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is how students' ability to use conjunctions in narrative compositions for grade III students of SD Negeri 222 Taggentung, Sinjai Regency. This study aims to determine students' ability to use conjunctions in narrative compositions for grade III students of SD Negeri 222 Taggentung, Sinjai Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research procedure includes the stages of planning, implementation and research. The data from this study are in the form of narrative compositions obtained through tests, the data source in this study is 9 grade III students of SD Negeri 222 Taggentung. Based on the results of the study on students' ability to apply conjunctions in narrative compositions, the average pre-test score was 58.33 and the post-test was 66.11. Based on the assessment category, both scores are included in the sufficient category. However, the increase in scores reflects positive developments in narrative writing skills, especially in the use of conjunctions appropriately to create coherence between sentences. Students begin to be able to choose and use various types of conjunctions, such as time connectors, cause-effect, and additions, so that the sentence structure in their compositions becomes more coherent and logical. Thus, the ability to use conjunctions in narrative compositions of grade 3 elementary school students is classified as sufficient, but shows an increase after learning

Abstract

The research used in this study was experimental research. Experimental research is one type of quantitative research that aims to determine whether there is an effect of using traditional game-based learning methods (dende-dende) on understanding the concept of Indonesian grammar for grade II students of Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar Elementary School. The subjects of this study were grade II students of SD Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. In the even semester of the 2025/2026 school year totaling 20 people divided into two classes, namely classes II A and II B. The research was conducted for 6 meetings which were divided into 3 meetings in the experimental class and 3 meetings in the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out using learning outcome tests, namely posttest and pretest and observation data. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study that there is an effect of the use of traditional game-based learning methods (dende-dende) on understanding the concept of Indonesian grammar of grade II students of SD Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar which is proven to show that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of hypothesis testing show a significance value of 0.007 <0.005 with an average posttest score of 70.60 for the experimental class and 64.60 for the control class. The t-count value is -3.030 with the same standard deviation in both classes which is 4.427. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the traditional game-based learning method (dende-dende) has an effect on understanding the concept of Indonesian grammar for grade II students of SD Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar. The game (dende-dende) not only preserves cultural values but also effectively improves students' understanding of Indonesian grammar concepts in a more fun and meaningful learning atmosphere.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the effectiveness of using animated video media in improving the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 77 Kanaeng, South Galesong District, Takalar Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 23 fourth-grade students selected using random sampling. Data collection techniques included speaking skills tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics with a paired t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 59.3, a low score, while the posttest score increased to 83.6, a high score. The paired t-test yielded a t-count of -11.770 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Furthermore, student activity and responses to the use of animated videos were also positive. Thus, it can be concluded that animated video media is effective in improving the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 77 Kanaeng, South Galesong District, Takalar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Reciprocal Learning model on students’ learning outcomes in reading comprehension in class V B of UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa 1, Rappocini District. The research employed an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving a saturated sample of 17 students. Data were collected through a reading comprehension test and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including tests of normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The findings revealed that the students’ average pretest score of 25.59 increased significantly to 90.59 in the posttest. A Paired Sample T-test indicated a significance value of < 0.001, leading to the rejection of H0 and the acceptance of H1. These results demonstrate that the Reciprocal Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ reading comprehension skills. Therefore, the implementation of this model has a positive impact on learning outcomes and may serve as a valuable reference for elementary school teachers in developing innovative instructional strategies to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Karuwisi Makassar. This study aims to improve students’ speaking skills by using the Round Robin learning model in fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Karuwisi Makassar. This research employs both qualitative and quantitative approaches with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. The subjects of this study were seven fourth-grade students. The data collection techniques used were observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Round Robin learning model is able to improve the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Karuwisi Makassar. The improvement in speaking skills can be seen from the achievement of the research success indicators, marked by an increase in the percentage of students’ learning mastery in each cycle. The percentage of learning mastery in Cycle I was 43%, and it increased to 100% in Cycle II.
