Abstract

The calculation of safety parameters in nuclear reactors has an important influence on nuclear reactor control and safety. The infinite multiplication factor, reactivity coefficients, and power peaking factor parameters are the most important safety parameters for determining reactor status. The aim of the present study is to analyze the behavior of the nuclear safety parameters for the VVER-1200 core in a normal state of reactor operation. A lattice cell fuel model of the VVER-1200 reactor core was performed using WIMSD-5B. The cross-section library data based on the ENDF/B-VIII.0 was used. The investigated parameters were the value of infinite multiplication factor with different pitch, temperature, enrichment, and boron concentration.  The calculation also investigated the reactivity coefficient parameters. The verification of WIMS model VVER-1200 was performed by comparing the results of the WIMSD-5B code with VVER-1200 data in the SAR document, and it was implied that they are in good agreement. The calculated values of reactivity coefficients illustrated a safe behavior.

Abstract

This study develops a digital system for monitoring and providing price information in traditional markets in Toba Regency. The project addresses the lack of price transparency and difficulties faced by both merchants and consumers in accessing accurate market price data. The system is built using the Waterfall methodology and implements a website and mobile application using Flutter and Golang. Key features include price data input by market managers, administrative supervision by the Department of Cooperatives and Trade (Koperindag), and real-time public access to market prices. The application supports authentication, price management, and category control, and allows the export of reports. Testing was conducted using blackbox and performance methods. Results show that the system improves efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of market price data, supporting digital transformation in local trade.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence in the application of the STEM-based Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by the Autograph application oriented to the mathematical literacy skills of ninth-grade students. The type of research used was Pre-Experimental with one pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was all grade IX. The approach used in this research is Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The research design used was pre-experimental with a one-pretest-posttest design. The sample in the study only used 1 class, namely class IXa, sampling using purposive sampling. Before being given treatment on the learning model and the ability, students were given an initial ability test (pretest), which obtained an average value of 68.23. Then, students will be given treatment in the form of learning by applying the STEM-based Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by the Autograph application oriented to students' mathematical literacy skills. After the learning was completed, the final ability test (posttest) was given so that the posttest value was obtained with an average of 85.55. Furthermore, the -test results show that is 11.330 and at significance is 1.68, so that (11.330> 1.68), which means that is rejected and is accepted. Thus, it is obtained that there is an effect of the STEM-based Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by the Autograph application oriented to students' mathematical literacy skills in class IXa.

Abstract

Infusion is a common medical procedure used to treat conditions such as gastric acid and typhoid, where precise fluid administration is critical. This study presents the development of an IoT-based smart infusion monitoring and control system using an ESP32 microcontroller, designed to automatically monitor infusion volume and regulate drip rate in real-time. The system integrates a load cell sensor to measure infusion fluid weight, a photodiode sensor to detect drip rate, and a servo motor to adjust the flow rate adaptively. It features web-based monitoring, buzzer alerts, and an LCD display for local feedback. The system was tested in a clinical simulation with an infusion requirement of 1500 mL per 24 hours and various drip factors (15, 20, and 60 drops/mL). The infusion volume status is automatically categorized into three levels: FULL (>350 mL), HALF (150–350 mL), and WARNING (<150 mL). Based on 10 test scenarios, the system accurately classified volume levels and triggered warnings when volume dropped below 150 mL. For example, in Test-08 to Test-10, volumes of 139.67 mL, 87.34 mL, and 40.53 mL were correctly detected as “WARNING” with buzzer alerts activated. The load cell sensor achieved excellent accuracy, with an error margin between 0.02% and 0.06%, while the system maintained drip-rate stability within a ±5% tolerance range. It also dynamically adjusted the servo angle to correct under- or over-drip conditions. These results confirm that the system delivers accurate, automated, and responsive infusion control, making it suitable for healthcare settings with limited staff to improve safety and efficiency.

Abstract

The proficiency of Indonesian students in mathematics and science remains relatively low, as reflected in the 2022 PISA survey, which ranked Indonesia 69th out of 81 participating countries. This low level of mathematical and scientific literacy has become a major concern in efforts to improve the quality of education. This community service activity aims to foster interest and motivation among senior high school students (SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent) in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology through the organization of the Del Mathematics and Science Competition (DMSC) in 2024. The competition was conducted in two stages: an online preliminary round on November 2, 2024, and an on-site final round on November 9, 2024, at Institut Teknologi Del, coinciding with World Scientiest Day. The implementation method included competition promotion, online participant selection, and in-person contest execution with an objective scoring system. The findings indicated high enthusiasm among participants from various regions of Indonesia, along with improved understanding and confidence in solving concept-based problems. The implications of this activity suggest that science-based competitions can serve as effective platforms to raise public awareness of the importance of mastering science and support national efforts to enhance the quality of education in mathematics and science

Abstract

The HKBP Palmarum Church faces significant challenges in its administration and financial management, which have been conducted manually. This approach exposes the system to risks of data loss, delays in information updates, and a lack of transparency in financial reporting. This community service project aims to develop a web-based management information system to address these issues. The methodology employed is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a prototyping approach. The outcome of the project includes a system capable of managing congregation data, finances, and service information digitally. With the implementation of this system, church services are expected to become more efficient, transparent, and serve as a model for other churches.
