Abstract

The development of science and technology can change the learning process, one of which is related to learning media. Existing learning media can be modified and developed according to science and technology developments. The development of science and technology in learning media, for example the GeoGebra application and live worksheets which can be used in learning mathematics. However, the use of this application is still minimal among teachers. Community service activities are a mandate for educators in tertiary institutions as a manifestation of higher education tridharma. This service is a collaboration of the Tadris Mathematics Study Program which consists of a team of lecturers, students, and the management of the Mathematics Tadris Study Program. The community service activities that have been carried out are geogebra application workshops and liveworksheets for math teachers at State MTs in the city of Jambi. As for the partners or participants in this service, representatives of two mathematics teachers from each state madrasah tsanawiyah in Jambi City. In its implementation, it can be concluded that this service activity was well organized and accompanied by extraordinary enthusiasm from the service participants.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of understanding of religious values, the level of psychological resilience, and the relationship between the understanding of religious values and psychological resilience among students in the Islamic Education (PAI) Study Program at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This study was conducted because religious understanding is viewed as one of the key factors that can help students cope with academic pressure and various life challenges in a more adaptive manner. This study employs a quantitative approach using a correlation method. The research sample consisted of 76 sixth-semester students in the PAI program, selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire designed based on Glock and Stark’s dimensions of religiosity and Connor and Davidson’s aspects of resilience. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s Rho correlation test because the data were not normally distributed. The results of the study indicate that students’ level of understanding of religious values falls into the high category at 88.46%, while their level of psychological resilience falls into the high category at 76.92%. The correlation test results showed a positive and significant relationship between understanding of religious values and psychological resilience (r = 0.793; p < 0.001 < 0.05). These findings suggest that the higher students’ understanding of religious values, the higher their psychological resilience. The findings of this study reinforce the importance of internalizing religious values in supporting students’ psychological resilience. However, this study is limited to students in the Islamic Education Program at a single university; therefore, the results cannot yet be generalized to a broader population. This study provides empirical evidence regarding the relationship between the understanding of religious values and psychological resilience among PAI students, and reinforces research on the role of religiosity as a psychological resource in coping with academic pressures and daily life.

Abstract

Character education is widely recognized as a crucial element in enhancing educational quality in an increasingly competitive global context; however, evaluative studies that specifically investigate its implementation within the Sekolah Penggerak Program at the senior high school level remain limited. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character education in the Sekolah Penggerak Program and to examine its outcomes and impact on students’ character development. An evaluative research approach was employed using the CIPPO model. The research was conducted at State Senior High Schools 4, 5, and 10 in Jambi City, involving principals or vice principals, teachers, and students as research participants. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis, while interview data were analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that character education has been implemented in a systematic and integrated manner through school policies, instructional practices, and school culture, with most achievement indicators classified as high to very high. Furthermore, the implementation contributes positively to students’ character development, particularly in the areas of integrity, discipline, collaboration, critical thinking, and digital literacy, thereby supporting improvements in educational quality aligned with contemporary global demands.
