Abstract

PT Karya Pak Oles Tokcer Group Bali is a pharmaceutical company that sells bokashi balm products in the Bali area. However, this product has faced several problems in the ups and downs of demand. This causes a decrease in the quality of raw materials and the large savings costs incurred by the company. Therefore, this research was carried out to forecast demand for bokashi balm products for 1 year and know the most optimal lot-sizing technique for determining the planning and controlling of raw material supplies. This research was conducted using ABC analysis, demand forecasting, and supply planning analysis using the Lot for Lot, Silver Meal, and Least Unit Cost methods. Based on the research, it was found that forecasting results for bokashi balm products measuring 15 grams and 7.5 grams using the Moving Average method for the ninth and eighth periods were the best results. Then from the results of the ABC analysis, it was found that for the 15-gram bokashi balm product, the raw materials belonged to category A, namely packaging boxes, pot lids, pots, and top and bottom labels. In contrast, for the 7.5-gram product, there were raw materials in the form of packaging boxes, lids pots, pots, top and bottom labels, and bulbs. Raw materials belonging to group A will then be calculated using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. Then after calculating using 3 lot sizing methods, the Lot for Lot (LFL) method was chosen because it has the smallest total cost value, namely the 15-gram bokashi balm product of IDR 2,306,369 and the 7.5-gram bokashi balm product in the amount of IDR 4,079,780.

Abstract

PT X is a manufacturing industry company engaged in cosmetic and skincare manufacturing services that produce products based on order or PO (pre-order). In the production process carried out by PT X, there are several product defects such as damaged masks, packaging, and so on so that the product is not suitable for use and reaches consumers, for that the importance of the production process control system in a company in identifying factors causing damage or defects in sheet mask products and analyzing how to apply statistical quality control in quality control at PT X. The results of the pareto chart analysis with the most frequent problems to get priority for repair, namely the type of plastic defect (53%). Based on the P-chart analysis the production process is still not under control or still experiencing deviations, this is shown on the P-chart that many points are beyond the control limit. Known from the results of diagram analysis fishbone related factors causing plastic defects come from human, machine, and material factors. Companies should conduct training for employees on the shrink process, conduct regular checks on production machines and replace plastic materials that are thicker than before.

Abstract

Due to passenger complaints regarding the comfort of the seats on the Trans Metro Dewata Bus, and the possibility that the design of the seats could result in musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), it is deemed necessary to redesign the seats of the Trans Metro Dewata Bus to create an ergonomic seat design. In the process of redesigning the bus seats, the ergonomics method with an anthropometric approach was used. The ergonomic approach in question is to adjust the seat design to the anthropometric dimensions of the sample of Trans Metro Dewata Bus passengers. In this anthropometric approach, four anthropometric dimensions are determined which play an important role in chair redesign, namely (1) shoulder height, (2) knee fold (popliteal), (3) hip width, and (4) distance from knee fold (popliteal) to buttocks. For each dimension, calculations were carried out according to the procedure for 100 sample data that had been taken from passengers of the Trans Metro Dewata Corridor 3 Bus in March 2023. Based on the passenger samples that had been obtained, then the anthropometric data testing process was carried out starting from the normality test, uniformity test data, and data adequacy test.

Abstract

Meeting client demand is the primary goal of any company, one of which is through timely service. PT Intan Prima Kalorindo, a company worked in the production of heat exchangers, often fails to meet product delivery targets due to wasteful activities during the assembly of the E-201-22AB tube bundle heat exchanger. This study aims to identify types of waste occurring in the assembly process of the E-201-22AB tube bundle heat exchanger using the Process Activity Mapping (PAM) approach. The data collection techniques used were direct observation and interviews with operators and supervisors. The data were then classified using the PAM method. Based on PAM, 32 activities were identified, with the majority of operations at the workstations being value-added (VA) activities, totaling 2,647 minutes (66.3%), while non-value-added (NVA) activities totaled 1,040 minutes (26%) and necessary but non-value-added (NNVA) activities totaled 307 minutes (7.7%). The study results revealed two types of waste identified in the assembly process: defective products due to leaks during hydrostatic testing and waiting for materials. Further analysis using a fishbone diagram showed various causes of these wasteful activities, including human, machine, method, and environmental factors. Based on the identified root causes, various improvement recommendations were proposed to eliminate waste in the assembly process of the E-201-22AB tube bundle heat exchanger.

Abstract

PT X adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang berfokus pada pembuatan komponen otomotif berbahan dasar karet sintetis. Produk yang dihasilkan oleh PT X antara lain Oil Seal, Valve Steam Seal, O-Ring, dan Rubber Part. Pengendalian persediaan pada PT X dianggap kurang optimal karena karena masih adanya bahan baku yang mengalami overstock. Overstock pada PT X menyebabkan terjadinya pemborosan modal kerja yang tertanam dalam persediaan bahan baku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peramalan permintaan bahan baku KS-25 di PT X dan mengetahui penerapan metode Lot Sizing yang optimal dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku KS-25 di PT X. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan peramalan permintaan serta analisis lot sizing dengan metode Economic Order Quantity, Periodic Order Quantity, Lot for Lot dan Min-max. Metode lot sizing yang memberikan total inventory cost terendah yaitu metode POQ dengan biaya sebesar Rp 837.982.027. Hasil peramalan pada penelitian ini menggunakan tiga metode penelitian yaitu metode moving average, weighted moving averages, dan exponential smoothing. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa metode exponential smoothing (α=0,8) merupakan hasil terbaik dengan jumlah error terkecil.

Abstract

Depot Pengisian Pesawat Udara (DPPU) Ngurah Rai merupakan bagian operasional PT Pertamina Patra Niaga dengan tanggung jawab untuk menyalurkan Bahan Bakar Minyak Penerbangan (BBMP) demi menunjang kebutuhan pesawat udara di Bandara Internasional Ngurah Rai. Kualitas BBMP menjadi faktor krusial dalam keselamatan penerbangan sehingga dilakukan pengujian mutu secara konsisten, salah satunya deteksi air tersuspensi menggunakan Chemical Water Detector (CWD). Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah persediaan CWD yang kurang optimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh proses pengadaan CWD yang belum dilakukan secara tepat dan sistematis sehingga terjadi kelebihan ataupun kekurangan persediaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses pengadaan CWD melalui penerapan metode forecasting atau peramalan. Peramalan adalah sebuah metode yang diterapkan guna memprediksi permintaan di masa depan, untuk jangka waktu yang panjang dan pendek dengan memanfaatkan data historis sebagai dasar perhitungan. Dalam rangka memperoleh hasil analisis kebutuhan CWD yang terbaik, penelitian ini membandingkan dua metode peramalan, yaitu Double Exponential Smoothing Holt’s serta Trend Analysis. Berlandaskan pada peramalan yang dihasilkan, metode peramalan yang terbaik adalah Trend Analysis karena menunjukkan tingkat error prediksi yang lebih rendah dibandingkan Double Exponential Smoothing Holt’s. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh nilai MAD sebesar 375, nilai MSE sebesar 178.843, dan MAPE sebesar 12%. Selanjutnya adalah melakukan perhitungan safety stock atau persediaan pengaman untuk mengurangi risiko terjadinya stock out. Perusahaan dapat menetapkan batas minimum stok CWD sebanyak 13 kotak. Hasil peramalan kebutuhan CWD memberikan gambaran mengenai potensi kejadian di masa yang akan datang dan menjadi acuan dalam perencanaan pengadaan perusahaan.

Abstract

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a method to identify and evaluate work steps and potential hazards to determine appropriate control measures. The ultimate goal of this research is to identify the potential for work accidents, assess the potential for work accidents, and provide risk control for existing work accidents. The results of this study found a variety of common hazards such as physical injury (puncture, scratch, pinch, fall), chemical hazards (dust inhalation, skin irritation), and mechanical hazards (slipping, falling material). In the concrete field, accident risks include being buried in soil, tripping over stones, slipping, inhaling dust, and being injured by work tools. While in the electrical field, the risks include being scratched by tools, falling from a height, being punctured by nails, and respiratory problems. The assessment of work accidents at PT Tunas Jaya in 2022 mostly shows a high risk of work accidents and repeatedly occurs. In addition, the factors affecting work accidents were analysed using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. recommendations can be given to control the risk of work accidents in the next construction project at PT Tunas Jaya by updating the existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), adjusted to current field conditions.
