Abstract

The misuse of funds on the Kitabisa.com crowdfunding platform highlights major challenges in maintaining public trust, accountability, and business ethics within Indonesia’s fintech ecosystem. While the platform has facilitated social solidarity by connecting donors and recipients, cases of fund misuse indicate gaps in governance and oversight. This issue is particularly significant given the increasing popularity of crowdfunding-based fintech in Indonesia as part of digital financial innovation influenced by digital capitalism. This study aims to analyze the causes of fund misuse through the lenses of moral judgment, moral identity, and applicable regulations, while addressing the exploitative aspects of digital capitalism. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through document analysis, including news articles, media reports, and academic literature. The findings reveal that weaknesses in recipients' moral judgment and moral identity, a lack of strict reporting mechanisms, and the pressures of digital capitalism are key factors contributing to fund misuse. Furthermore, Indonesia's crowdfunding regulation fails to provide adequate oversight of fund recipients, focusing more on platform operators, which opens opportunities for misuse by recipients. This study offers practical recommendations, including regulatory reinforcement, stricter sanctions, the development of moral education programs for recipients, and the integration of blockchain technology to ensure transparency. These findings are relevant for policymakers, platform developers, and the public in building a more ethical, transparent, and sustainable fintech ecosystem. Keywords: Fintech ethics, transparency, digital capitalism, morality, regulation.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Halal Centers, and supporting factors on the success of halal product certification for MSMEs in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). A quantitative approach with a survey design was used to collect data via Likert scale questionnaires distributed to 40 MSMEs undergoing or having completed halal certification. Research instruments were developed based on literature-derived indicators: MUI's role (socialization/education, ease of information access, credibility); Halal Center's role (technical assistance, training/workshops, ease of service access); and supporting factors (cost affordability, ease of information access, simplicity of the certification process). Multiple linear regression analysis using R software showed that all three independent variables significantly influenced halal certification success, with MUI's role being the dominant contributor. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy among supporting institutions and process improvements to enhance MSME competitiveness through halal certification, offering strategic recommendations for more efficient and applicable certification policies.

Abstract

Informal workers dominate Indonesia’s labour market but remain largely excluded from formal pension systems due to low and volatile incomes, raising concerns about old-age income security. The central question addressed is whether an ultra-micro digital pension scheme can generate meaningful retirement benefits for low-income informal workers and whether artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance contribution effectiveness under income uncertainty. A simulation-based framework is employed using official income statistics, combining deterministic and Monte Carlo simulations over a 25-year accumulation period and a 15-year payout phase. Three contribution designs are evaluated: a fixed ultra-micro nominal contribution, a flexible income-based contribution equal to 3% of earnings, and an income-based scheme augmented by an AI-assisted top-up mechanism. Fixed nominal contributions produce limited replacement rates of around 8%, while income-based contributions increase replacement rates to approximately 15%. The integration of AI-assisted contribution optimisation further raises replacement rates to about 19–20% and shifts the distribution of outcomes upward, improving downside protection under income volatility. Although the resulting benefits remain below conventional adequacy benchmarks, the findings demonstrate that ultra-micro digital pensions are financially feasible as complementary retirement instruments and that AI-enabled contribution mechanisms add measurable value in highly informal, low-income labour market settings

Abstract

The decision to invest in sharia among students of Islamic Religious Universities (PTAI) or public universities (PTU) can be influenced by several factors. A comprehensive understanding of Sharia-compliant investments' concepts, types, and characteristics can significantly influence an individual's propensity to invest according to Islamic principles. This study aims to investigate the impact of Sharia investment product knowledge and financial literacy on PTAI and PTU students' investment decisions, with religiosity as a moderator. This study will use a quantitative approach using the survey method. The data collection process will involve administering questionnaires to a purposively selected sample of students through an online survey or direct distribution on campus. The hypotheses were tested using the Smart PLS version 4.1 program. The results showed that Product Knowledge and Financial Literacy variables affect the Investment Decisions of PTAI students. While Religiosity only moderates the effect of Product Knowledge on the Investment Decisions of PTAI Students, Product Knowledge and Financial Literacy do not affect the Investment Decisions of PTU Students. Religiosity cannot moderate Product Knowledge and Financial Literacy on Investment Decisions of PTU Students.

Abstract

This community service program designs a QR code-based information system to address efficiency and information gaps for MSMEs in Janapria Village, Central Lombok. According to 2025 BPS data, Janapria is the second-largest village but holds a Desa Mandiri status, lagging behind Lekor and Saba villages which are already Desa Maju. The primary issue is the lack of systematic data tracking for its significant potential in weaving crafts and grocery shops. Through a participatory approach socialized in September 2025, QR codes are implemented as a low-cost data tool rather than a payment instrument. This system connects entrepreneurs with the village government to eliminate repetitive manual data collection and open external information channels. The program serves as a replicable model to bridge economic potential with village development.

Abstract

This study examines how digital marketing stimuli influence halal trust and digital purchase behavior in the context of Indonesian halal micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Using the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework, social media exposure, perceived value, and promo attractiveness are modeled as stimuli; halal trust as the organism; and digital purchase behavior as the response. Data were collected through an online survey of 73 Muslim consumers who had purchased halal MSME products via digital platforms and were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that perceived value is the only significant predictor of halal trust, indicating that fair and credible value perceptions are central to building confidence in product halalness. Social media exposure positively affects digital purchase behavior, while promo attractiveness has a significant but negative effect, suggesting that overly aggressive promotions may signal low quality or higher risk. Halal trust does not significantly influence digital purchase behavior and does not mediate the relationships between digital stimuli and behavioral response. These findings refine the application of the S-O-R model in halal digital markets and highlight the need for halal MSMEs to focus on value creation and careful promotion design when targeting online consumers.
