Abstract

Utiliztion of dryland and bareground in urban area is an opportunity as well challenge. One of the importat factors for land uses decician is evaluation of land capability and suitability. In agriculture, one of the causing of land degradation is unsuitable land uses. Therefore, PT. Angkasa Pura El Tari Int. Airport Kupang colaburated with academitients to conduct land evaluation at one of unmanaged land in urban area.This survey was conducted on the land of 10,078 Ha at Lasiana, Kupang city, East NusaTenggara Timur. The methods comprised of stated of aims, planning (overlay maps from ArcGIS 10,3), ground survey, data analysis (erosion prediction by USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method, data compilation and presentation. The results provided two land units that considered in class III of land capability with limiting factors (soil depth, erosion level,soil fertility, drainase, and stony). Therefore there are some recommendations for land management, such as increasing soil depth by adding some soils,growing annual crops, forest trees, nursery, grassing combination with countering and terrasering on the land with high slope, tillage system, and organic matter amandement. Due to the location is in the urban areas (Kupang city), it is suggested to apply urban forest or urban farming development using multifunctional land uses approach, functioning for agriculture, natural conservation, social activities, education and agrotourism.

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the land capability class in the Manikin Baki watershed, identify limiting and potential factors on the land and determine the actions taken to overcome existing limiting factors for sustainable land use. The method used is matching to 9 factors that are potential and limiting.The results showed that the Land Capability Class in Manikin Baki watershed was dominated by land capability class III with 55.77% of the total research location. The main factor that is limiting is the slope. Conservation action that needs to be done in order to overcome the limiting factors is to carry out heavy conservation in the form of making terraces. Key Words: land cappability, resources, Manikin Baki waterdhrd

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to figure out the form of threats to santigi, information on the larceny of santigi and the threat of picking up santigi on its sustainability in Maubesi Nature Reserve. The determination of total interviewe samples uses the technique of snowball sampling. Descriptive analysis is conducted by interviews.The results showed that the form of threats to santigi in Maubesi Nature Reserve was larceny by people from outside the area and exploitation by the local community. The larceny of santigi in Maubesi Nature Reserve was carried out by water using boats and by land using trucks and motorbikes. Sustainability prospect of santigi preservation in Maubesi Nature Reserve is endangered, the larceny and public consumption is not comparable to its slow growth. Key words: Descriptive Analysis, Santigi, Threats of Santigi

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Manganese (Mn) mine in Supul village on the water quality of the residents' dug wells. Research method is used purposive sampling. Water sampling is required for chemical and biological analysis in the laboratory to determine the content of Fe, Mn, E. coli bacteria and pH level in the water. The results showed that the terms of threshold levels of Fe, Mn, and pH values, well water in Hamlet C (Oefenu) which is 200 to 300 meters away that is more polluted than others because those parameters are over the average threshold that required by the Ministry of Health on drinking and cleaning water quality standards. This condition is caused by very close to the mine site and the tailing Manganese.Keywords: Manganese mine, Well water quality, Supul Village

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to understand the potential of landslide hazards in the Manikin Watershed and to map the slide hazards so that they can be used as a reference in conducting landslide disaster mitigation. The method used was scoring which was based on the Regulation of Minister of Public Works Number 22 /PRT/M/2007 about Guidelines for Spatial Planning for Landslide Disaster Prone Areas, and the parameter used were soil type, geological formation, rainfall, land use, and slopes. The results of the research showed that the landslide potential in the Manikin Watershed is dominated by Low Landslide Class which is 6,924.703 Ha in the area or 54.912 %. The next is the Medium Landslide Class which covers an area of 3,881.911 Ha or 30.783%, the High Landslide Class covers an area of 1,758.058 Ha or 13.941%, and the Very High Landslide Class covers an area of 45.96 Ha or 0.364%.  Keywords: Mapping, Landslide, Manikin Watershed, Geographic Information System (GIS)

Abstract

ABSTRAKKualitas bibit Kayu Putih sangat ditentukan oleh media kecambah sebagai salah satu faktor utama pertumbuhan benih kayu putih. Namun informasi mengenai media kecambah yang baik untuk mendukung perkecambahan benih kayu putih masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi vigoritas benih kayu putih pada berbagai media kecambah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli-Agustus 2025, di Kompleks Perumahan Pondok Indah Matani Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan yaitu pasir, tanah, bokashi, kasgot dan kompos limbah baglog jamur tiram. Pengulangan dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali pada setiap perlakuan dengan menggunakan 10mg benih. Nilai indeks vigor, keserempakan tumbuh benih dan kecepatan tumbuh benih, dihitung sebagai data pengamatan. Analisis data menghasilkan media kecambah secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap vigoritas benih kayu putih. Media terbaik adalah tanah yang mampu meningkatkan indeks vigor sebesar 54,50% dan keserempakan tumbuh benih sebesar (72,50%) dibanding media lainnya, juga kecepatan tumbuh benih tertinggi 0,77%/hari.Kata kunci: Kayu putih, Media kecambah, Perkecambahan, Vigoritas benih.
