Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how brand image mediates the relationship between CSR and customer satisfaction, with a focus on the emotive dimension. Economic, social, and environmental dimensions make up the multifaceted idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This study uses a survey method and a quantitative approach, focusing on consumers who have purchased products from McDonald’s and are aware of its CSR initiatives. Structured questionnaires will be used to gather data, and the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) will be used for analysis. The suggested correlations between the variables will be investigated using multiple regression analysis and mediation testing. The purpose of this study is to determine if CSR has a substantial impact on customer satisfaction and affective brand image, as well as to evaluate the mediating function of affective brand image in this connection. Additionally, it looks at how emotional brand impressions are impacted by the economic, social, and environmental CSR components. This study is new since it only examines the emotive aspect of brand image as a mediating variable, leaving out the functional aspect, which has been extensively studied in earlier research. Furthermore, a better understanding of how CSR activities affect consumer satisfaction and emotional brand perceptions in the fast-food business may be gained by applying a three-level CSR framework: economic, social, and environmental.

Abstract

This study investigates the presence of investor overconfidence in the Indonesian equity market by analyzing the lead-lag relationship between stock returns and subsequent trading activity. Focusing on the constituents of the LQ45 index from January 2023 to December 2025, we employ a firm-level panel data approach with fixed effects and clustered robust standard errors on a monthly dataset (N=1,485$). Using share turnover as a proxy for trading intensity, the analysis tests the hypothesis that past positive returns lead to increased trading volume due to biased self-attribution. The empirical results demonstrate that both contemporaneous and lagged individual stock returns exert a positive and statistically significant influence on trading activity (p < 0.05$), confirming that Indonesian investors tend to trade more aggressively following periods of capital gains. This behavioral pattern remains robust across alternative turnover specifications, including total-share and free-float-based proxies, as well as log-transformed models. Furthermore, lagged market returns exhibit a dominant positive effect, suggesting that market-wide sentiment acts as a powerful catalyst for trading frequency. These findings provide strong evidence of overconfidence-driven behavior in the Jakarta Composite Index, highlighting how psychological biases—rather than purely fundamental information—drive market liquidity and volatility in an emerging market context.

Abstract

The implementation of Community Service (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat/PKM) for December 2025 was carried out by a team from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya Campus, in collaboration with Radio Sangkakala Surabaya. The primary objective was to deliver broader financial education to the community by presenting qualified academic speakers from the Management and Accounting Study Programs. The activity was conducted in an interactive talkshow format under the overarching theme "Interactive Radio on Money, Financial Technology, and Psychology of Money: Smart Financial Management in the Midst of a Crisis." Two sessions were held: the first on December 2, 2025, covering "Money and Technology in the Midst of a Crisis" by Dr. Renna Magdalena, and the second on December 16, 2025, covering "Psychology of Money" by Dr. Yanuar Dananjaya. The results demonstrated that this PKM activity successfully enhanced public awareness of financial literacy, digital financial technology utilization, and the psychological dimensions of financial decision-making. This initiative confirms that academic-media collaboration through radio serves as an effective and inclusive channel for financial education, particularly in reaching productive and financially vulnerable community groups in the Surabaya area

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the influence of functional value, emotional value, and social value on satisfaction and purchase intention toward reusable smart tumblers among Gen Z in Surabaya. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 250 respondents and analyzed with multiple regression. The results show that all three values significantly and positively affect satisfaction, and satisfaction significantly drives purchase intention. These findings highlight that Gen Z purchase decisions are shaped not only by product functionality but also by emotional attachment and social recognition related to sustainability. This study provides insights for marketers to enhance consumer satisfaction and strengthen purchase intention through sustainability-based strategies.

Abstract

This study investigates how firm life cycle stages moderate the relationship between capital structure determinants and leverage in the Indonesian real estate sector. Using panel data from listed real estate companies (2009–2024), firms are classified into young and mature groups based on retained earnings to total assets. Our analysis reveals that the firm life cycle is a significant moderator, with findings predominantly supporting the Pecking Order Theory. For young firms, leverage is strongly and negatively driven by liquidity, underscoring their reliance on internal funds. For mature firms, leverage is negatively influenced by profitability and liquidity. Asset tangibility also shows a significant but unexpectedly negative relationship for mature firms, while the tax shield is insignificant for both groups. These findings demonstrate that a firm’s developmental stage is crucial for understanding its capital structure choices, which are shaped by both life cycle-driven financing constraints and sector-specific characteristics

Abstract

growth, liquidity, and debt tax shield on capital structure in real estate and property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study is motivated by the importance of determining an optimal capital structure to meet operational needs, maximize profits, and manage financial risks. Using the Pecking Order and Trade-Off theories, this research explains how these variables influence corporate financing decisions.  The population in this study consists of all real estate and property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023. The data used are financial statements of companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 52 real estate and property companies as the research sample.  The results show that profitability, asset structure, and liquidity have a negative effect on capital structure, while growth and debt tax shield do not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, profitability, asset structure, growth, liquidity, and debt tax shield significantly affect capital structure. This study contributes theoretically to financial management literature and provides practical implications for financial managers and investors in making funding and investment decisions
