Abstract

The success of building an integrated information system is an expectation of every company management to achieve effective and efficient working system. However, in the real business practices, not a few companies failed in building an integrated information system caused by the absence of several factors: strong commitment, hard work and smart effort conducted by a team. The team determines the success level in building an integrated information system. A factor of intelligence and mental maturity of users in running a new information system that has not been known is also another key to success. Therefore, it takes a good user’s character supported by a management decision to make management changes to achieve the building success level. This study aims to address the role of character and organization changes in achieving a success building an integrated information system.

Abstract

A firm?s success in bussiness competition can be supported by integrated information systems. A program application based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) like SAP is an integrated program that is able to provide business transaction management solutions. This study aims to on the ERP system running at PT Astra Graphia, particularly at relevant departments dealing with income derived at a period of time and costs associated with implementation and application maintenance of SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing) program. Furthermore, this study aims to give suggestions based on information systems development evaluation results, in terms of business processes, performance, and financial. Analyses were performed using the IT Balanced Scorecard, and the development of information systems used the Accelerated SAP (ASAP) in which the results are able to provide suggestions of system development with the first phase of ASAP method namely preparation and the second phase namely blueprint.

Abstract

ERP (enterprise resource planning) is an integrated information system to support the core business activities of an organization. ERP system will help the business unit related to data and information sharing, cost reduction, and improvement of business processes, which will result in an increase in the work (productivity) to become more efficient and effective. However, practically some organizations have problems on running ERP system, some even fail. Therefore, a strategy is needed to help the information systems project. Making project feasibility, project status and project monitoring ERP system can be used as a guide in the design of the ERP program applications to become more user friendly and suitable for the organization needs. The ERP system applied to a contracting company will increase productivity and achieve the level of effectiveness and efficiency of the company's operations. Through strategies in making project feasibility, and status monitoring with ERP system will provide a positive contribution to the development and objectives of the company, so as to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the processing operations.

Abstract

An integrated information system is a necessity for a company to help solve problems in business transactions management. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the running business processes on the Material Management module; evaluate the performance of the running SAP systems associated with the implementation and maintenance of SAP applications as well as to give sugestions based on the development of evaluation results obtained, in terms of business processes, performance, and financial. Abstract
