Abstract

Class schedule is one of the important essences in lecture activities. The class scheduling process at STMIK Dharma Putra, a private campus in Tangerang, has several obstacles. The obstacle is class schedules that still need to be distributed to students and lecturers via short messaging applications such as WhatsApp (WhatsApp Group Chat) and email services, resulting in duplicate schedule files. Another obstacle was when revisions to class schedules and re-submissions caused the class schedule files to accumulate (data redundancy). Moreover, the campus reminder activities are carried out conventionally by sending paper photos of the daily lecture schedule via the WhatsApp group. Based on literature studies conducted in previous research, one way to disseminate information that is quite effective and successful in dealing with similar problems is through mobile-based applications. A mobile-based class scheduling application is developed using Flutter tools with an Extreme Programming model to overcome the problem. The final stage of this research is application testing using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method with the Black-box testing model. From the results of the UAT test, the results obtained were 92.82% with excellent indicators and following user needs.

Abstract

This research delves into the challenges faced by a hospitality IT vendor providing services to a diverse clientele in Indonesia. The vendor, relying on profits from clients for operational and developmental activities, needs help with the billing process. The complexities arise from various payment schemes, including full payments and installments, coupled with the annual requirement for clients to purchase a maintenance key for continued system access. The existing transaction process experiences delays due to difficulties searching for invoice data among numerous clients with varying payment times. These delays hinder the timely collection of subsequent payments, resulting in receivables and potential disruptions to the vendor's cash flow for operational and developmental costs. Traditional bill recording methods compound the problem with inaccuracies and data retrieval challenges The findings of this research is a web-based application developed through the SDLC prototyping model to address these issues. The application, evaluated through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), successfully overcame the challenges. The results indicate that the application efficiently manages invoice data, facilitates timely payments, and enhances overall accuracy in data processing. In conclusion, the web-based application is an optimal solution, resolving invoice management issues and streamlining processes for the hospitality IT vendor.

Abstract

Strada SMK Daan Mogot, a private school in Tangerang City, oversees several operations. Student registration, academic exams, uniform measurements, and book purchases are carried out at the beginning of each school year. The Uniform Team tasked with handling this activity experienced difficulties due to the large volume of data, making conventional techniques inefficient to carry out. This research focuses on simplifying uniform ordering procedures from the uniform team to the uniform manufacturing supplier. The Uniform Team recorded and measured orders by hand, which resulted in time-consuming management and limited real-time data monitoring for the Principal. A web-based solution that allows easy access to uniform ordering data is needed to speed up these operations. The successful development and installation of this application at SMK Strada Daan Mogot is a significant achievement, with good User Acceptance Test results and confirming alignment with user needs. This progress is an essential step toward optimizing school operations.

Abstract

The customer service team functions to accommodate questions and answer questions experienced by application users. There are times when the number of questions that are accommodated is so large that the existing customer service team does not handle them. Ignored or unanswered questions can reduce customer satisfaction levels. For this reason, we need a system that can help automate customer service activities so as to avoid unanswered customer questions. A chatbot is a service powered by a set of rules and sometimes artificial intelligence, which interacts with users via a chat interface. Chatbot will be built within the iOS prototype application and will use the Natural Language Processing (NLP) platform, Dialogflow. This platform will later process and scan every question given by the customer so that by implementing this feature the customer service team can work more effectively because some of the manual activities have been automated. The results of this study are that the chatbot system created can reduce the frequency of questions by Solo application users by up to 92.82%. Thus, it is hoped that the customer service team can work more effectively and strategically, and can increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Non-playable Character (NPC) is a prominent terminology within the gaming domain. While players do not directly control NPCs, their role significantly influences the gaming experience. Enhancing NPC responsiveness becomes imperative as NPCs' passive nature can lead to monotonous gameplay. To address this concern, a computational model, namely Finite State Machine (FSM), is implemented to elevate NPC responsiveness during interactions with the main characters, whether as adversaries or allies. This research uses the Game Design Document (GDD) methodology to design a survival horror-themed game. The resultant Survival Horror Game undergoes Alpha testing to validate its overall functionality and the successful integration of the FSM computational model. Findings indicate that enemy NPCs can pursue the main character from any position, with an average arrival interval of 68 seconds. Additionally, allied NPCs promptly respond when the main character approaches. Subsequently, the Beta testing results reflect an 80% average score interpretation based on percentage responses, implying the game's favorable suitability and acceptability on the Likert scale.
