Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work environment on employee performance at LA3-BRIN. The research employs a quantitative associative method with a saturated sampling technique, involving 80 employees as respondents. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, and the analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on employee performance. The findings reveal that leadership style does not significantly affect employee performance, while the work environment has a strong and positive influence. A well-structured and comfortable workplace, including air circulation, lighting, and noise control, enhances employee motivation and productivity. Although leadership style does not have a direct impact, it plays an indirect role in shaping organizational culture and engagement. The study concludes that improving the work environment and refining leadership approaches can enhance overall employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Reward and Punishment on Employee Performance at Sephora Jakarta. The research method used was a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population in this study consisted of all 31 employees of Sephora Jakarta. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, in which the entire population was used as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test with the assistance of SPSS version 20. The correlation test results showed that Reward had a strong and positive relationship with employee performance, with a correlation coefficient of 0.682, while Punishment had a very strong and positive relationship with employee performance, with a correlation coefficient of 0.820. The results showed that partially, the Reward variable had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of 5.026 t-table value of 2.048 and a significance value of 0.000 0.05. The Punishment variable also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated t-value of 7.701 t-table value of 2.048 and a significance value of 0.000 0.05. Simultaneously, Reward and Punishment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated F-value of 28.631 F-table value of 3.34 and a significance value of 0.000 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.672 indicates that Reward and Punishment explain 67.2% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 32.8% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Thus, the proper implementation of Reward and Punishment systems can improve employee performance at Sephora Jakarta. Keywords: Reward, Punishment and Employee Performance
