Abstract

Penduduk yang terdidik dan terampil adalah aset berharga bagi suatu negara dalam menghadapi dinamika perkembangan ekonomi dan industri. Implementasi dan pengembangan pendekatan Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat (Lifelong Learning) dalam pendidikan vokasi non-formal di bidang teknik otomotif memiliki dampak positif yang luas pada berbagai pihak. Pendekatan ini memberikan peluang bagi individu untuk terus mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan mereka di luar pendidikan formal, memungkinkan pemerintah meningkatkan kualifikasi tenaga kerja, yang mendukung daya saing ekonomi negara dan menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih terdidik. Bagi pengusaha, Lifelong Learning memastikan tenaga kerja yang terampil dan relevan dengan perkembangan industri, meningkatkan produktivitas dan kemampuan perusahaan untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan pasar. Penyelenggara pendidikan memainkan peran penting dalam menyusun program pembelajaran yang responsif dan efektif, sedangkan masyarakat secara keseluruhan mendapat manfaat dengan menciptakan lingkungan ekonomi yang stabil, meningkatkan kesetaraan pendidikan, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Investasi dalam pendidikan vokasi non-formal berbasis Lifelong Learning adalah langkah strategis untuk membangun masyarakat yang terampil, berpengetahuan, dan berdaya saing di era yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

The integration of technology in English Language Teaching (ELT) has emerged as a critical component of modern education, offering innovative tools to enhance learning experiences. This study aimed to explore the role of technology in ELT by examining teachers' digital competencies through a systematic review of 45 peer-reviewed articles published in the last decade. The research identifies key technologies utilized in ELT, such as online learning platforms, language learning applications, and interactive media, highlighting their advantages and challenges. The findings reveal significant variations in teachers' digital competencies, categorized as high, moderate, or low, with the majority requiring additional training to utilize digital tools effectively. Factors influencing technology adoption, including institutional support and teachers' attitudes, were also analyzed. However, the study underscores gaps in the literature, such as the absence of standardized frameworks for assessing digital competencies, limited research on the long-term impact of technology on learning outcomes, and insufficient attention to challenges faced by educators in developing countries. These findings emphasize the need for targeted professional development programs and robust infrastructure to bridge the digital competency gap. While advancing scientific knowledge on technology integration in ELT, the study acknowledges limitations related to geographic focus and reliance on secondary data. Future research should expand to diverse contexts and explore emerging technologies to enhance ELT practices globally.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the Public Relations (PR) division at SMK Negeri 6 Malang City in strengthening collaboration with the industrial sector to ensure that graduates possess competencies aligned with labor market demands. The primary issue addressed is how PR can bridge the gap between vocational education and industry requirements through strategic communication and partnership programs. The purpose of this research is to identify the strategies employed by the PR division in establishing and maintaining industrial partnerships, as well as to understand the challenges encountered. The study adopts a qualitative approach utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that programs such as industrial classes and job fairs significantly contribute to enhancing students’ technical skills and soft skills required in the workplace. Despite facing resource limitations and differing expectations between institutions and industries, the established collaborations have had a positive impact providing students with valuable practical experiences and improving the school’s reputation in the broader community. In conclusion, the development of sustainable industrial partnerships is a crucial factor in increasing the relevance of vocational education and ensuring graduates' employability.
