Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical representation ability of grade XII high school students in solving permutation subsubject probability material problems based on Honey Mumford's learning style. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The data collection techniques used were Honey Mumford's learning style questionnaire, mathematical representation ability test, and interview. The source of data in this research is grade XII students of science 5 MAN 2 Pamekasan for the 2023/2024 school year. The subjects selected were 2 students who each had a theorist learning style and an activist learning style based on questionnaires and considerations with mathematics teachers. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that students with a theorist learning style can meet all indicators in the aspect of representation, both visual, symbolic, and verbal representation. Meanwhile, students with activist learning styles have not been able to meet the indicators in the aspect of visual representation but can meet all indicators in the aspect of symbolic representation and verbal representation.

Abstract

The use of clopedimatics learning media based on local Madurese wisdom is very beneficial for students, apart from preserving Madurese culture, it is also able to increase students' interest in mathematics. If students are interested and like mathematics, then mathematical concepts will be easier to understand. However, based on observations and interviews with the Principal of SDN Barkot I Pamekasan and students, information was obtained that: (1) the majority of teachers have not created certain learning media to accompany existing handbooks, (2) there is a lack of enthusiasm among students to learn mathematics, (3) ) students' lack of knowledge of Madurese local wisdom. The aim of this service is to provide solutions to partners by assisting in the creation of clodimatics learning media based on local Madurese wisdom. In general, the targeted outputs are: (1) there is an increase in partners' knowledge about clopedimatics learning media based on Madurese local wisdom (2) Implementation of Madurese local wisdom-based clopedimatics learning media in learning (3) articles in national journals with ISSN and electronic mass media, (4) Activity videos on YouTube

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berdasarkan observasi awal di MA Darus Sholah Jember, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep pencemaran lingkungan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang selama ini digunakan belum sepenuhnya mendukung pemahaman siswa secara optimal. Untuk itu, diperlukan model pembelajaran yang mampu menghubungkan materi pembelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata serta nilai-nilai spritual keagamaan. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan adalah model pembelajaran berbasis masalah materi pencemaran lingkungan terintegrasi ayat-ayat Al-Quran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah materi pencemaran lingkungan yang terintegrasi dengan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas X MA Darus Sholah Jember. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 siswa kelas X MA Darus Sholah Jember yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, yang dipilih secara acak atau random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi, dengan instrumen tes berupa soal uraian yang telah divalidasi. Analisis data prasyarat menggunakan uji-t melalui bantuan SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah materi terintegrasi ayat-ayat Al-Quran berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Rata-rata nilai pretest kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 41,10 menjadi 90,00 pada posttest, sedangkan kelas kontrol dari 41,15 menjadi 81,85. Temuan ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah meningkatkan pemahaman konsep melalui keterlibatan aktif siswa. Integrasi ayat-ayat Al-Quran juga memperkuat nilai spiritual dan moral. Dengan demikian, model ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sekaligus membentuk karakter spiritual siswa.
