Abstract

                   The writing of the results of this study is motivated by the thoughts of some believers who narrow the meaning of devotion or giving of believers to God to gifts in the form of material things only. Even though Christ redeems the believer completely, this means that the entire life of the believer belongs to Jesus, so that all parts of the believer's life can be dedicated to God. The biblical study of this article focuses on the Book of Philippians, because their devotion shows that the believers in Philippi were united together and could give their lives to fellowship with the message of the Gospel (Phil.1:3-6; 2:12) and the giving of their possessions to God, through his gift to Paul (who was in prison) who was handed over through Epaphroditus (Phil. 4:18). The 'giving of the Philippian church' based on what is written in the book of Philippians is very clear. The Philippians' giving to God is not only material but also in the form of surrendering their lives to God, namely their fellowship with the Gospel message and their obedience to God's Word. Specifically in terms of material gifts, these gifts had been given by the Philippians, not just once but many times, to Paul who was in the service of God's work.                   This research is pure library research, and is research using descriptive methods. The results of this research are a description or explanation of the devotion of believers to God with all matters related to this subject.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat memiliki beberapa latar belakang masalah yakni: Pertama, adanya pergeseran motivasi orang percaya untuk mengasihi Yesus, di antara orang percaya, yakni mengasihi Yesus untuk mendapatkan berkat-berkat dari Yesus. Semestinya orang percaya mengasihi Allah, sebagai ucapan syukur karena Allah yang terlebih dahulu telah mengasinya. Kedua, adanya kebutuhan akan penguatan komitman untuk mengasihi Yesus, bagi orang percaya di tempat pelaksanaan pengabdian ini. Seringkali orang percaya diperhadapkan kepada tantangan-tantangan, yang menggodai untuk tidak lagi hidup mengasihi Yesus. Karena itu tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah: Pertama, untuk menjelaskan kasih Allah yang tak bersyarat berdasarkan Matius1:18-25, sebagai alasan orang percaya untuk mengasihi Yesus. Kedua, untuk menjelaskan tentang makna mengasihi Yesus menurut Yohanes 21:15-19. Ketiga, untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan responden terhadap materi dan penyampaian materi kegiatan ini. Metode yang dipergunakan untuk menyajikan artikel ini adalah metode deskriptif sedangkan metode yang dipergunakan dalam kegiatan adalah metode ceramah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah: Pertama, bukti Kasih Allah yang tidak bersyarat menurut Matius1:18-25 adalah Allah telah menyelamatkan orang percaya dari dosa, ketika masih berdosa (1:21), Allah menyertai orang percaya (Imanuel) tanpa syarat (1:22-23). Kedua, makna mengasihi Yesus menurut Yohanes 21:15-19 adalah bersedia saling menggembalakan domba-domaba Tuhan (21:15-17), bersedia hidup dalam rencana Tuhan bagi diri orang percaya (21:18-19) dan bersedia untuk tidak membanding-bandingkan diri dengan rencana Tuhan bagi orang lain (21:20-25). Ketiga, hasil rata-rata kepuasan audiens sebagai berikut: Dari 116 sampel yang memberikan jawaban kuisioner tingkat kepuasan: tidak ada orang (0%) yang menyatakan tidak puas, 0,5 orang (0,44%) yang menyatakan kurang puas, 6 orang (5,16%) yang menyatakan netral, 97,5 orang (84,01%) menyatakan puas dan 11,5 orang (9,95%) menyatakan sangat puas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar responden menyatakan puas, dan sebagian kecil menyatakan sangat puas. Tingkat kepuasan termasuk tinggi.

Abstract

Kegerakan pemuridan harus dilakukan orang percaya atau gereja yang berperan penting dalam proses pemuridan. Namun yang menjadi masalahnya sebagian orang percaya berpendapat bahwa melaksanakan Amanat Agung cukup memberitakan Injil dan memenangkan jiwa, sedangkan tidak melakukan proses pemuridan. Kemudian sebagian orang percaya bahwa cukup orang yang memiliki karunia yang memberitakan Injil sehingga mereka menjadi tidak semangat memberitakan Injil dan tidak memproritaskan penginjilan. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan tentang konsep pemuridan Yesus Kristus, menurut Injil Matius dan untuk menjelaskan unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam konsep pemuridan oleh Yesus Kristus menurut Injil Matius. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari pembahasan Pertama, konsep Gerakan pemuridan Yesus menurut Injil Matius adalah sebuah kegerakan untuk menjadikan seseorang murid Yesus, mengajar dan memperlengkapinya dan mengutusnya untuk memuridkan orang lain. Dengan kata lain konsep kegerakan pemuridan ini adalah multiplikasi murid Yesus. Kedua, unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam konsep pemuridan Yesus menurut Injil Matius adalah: Pertama, Yesus Mencari dan Memanggil beberapa Murid (4:18-22). Kedua, Yesus Mengajar/ Memperlengkapi Murid-Murid (5:1-2). Ketiga, Yesus Menetapkan 12 Murid dan Memberikan Kuasa (10:1-4). Keempat, Yesus Mengutus Murid-murid untuk Memuridkan Orang Lain (10:5-10; 28:18-20), yang terdiri dari Pengutusan (10:5-10), Penegasan Kembali Pengutusan (28:18-20), Alasan Pemgutusan (18), Isi Pengutusan (19-20) dan Jaminan Pengutusan (20b).

Abstract

This article is the result of community service activities, with several background problems, namely: First, there is a need or desire from the administrators and members of the GKJ Purwantoro Local Youth Commission for a variety of speakers from outside the local church, in the context of Easter commemoration. Second, there is a need to strengthen faith and commitment to Jesus, for young people in places where service activities are carried out. The objectives that are expected to be achieved from this Community Service activity are as follows: First, to fulfill the needs of the young people of the GKJ Purwantoro for enthusiastic and firm or clear delivery of the Word of God, through a variety of lecturers or preachers from outside GKJ. Second, so that the spirit of faith and commitment to life of you young GKJ Purwantoro can be awakened and refreshed. The method used in delivering service material is the lecture method, while the method for presenting the results of this service is the descriptive method. The results of this service activity are: First, faith formation material with the theme "Looking to Tomorrow with Jesus" is based on ICorinthians 15:8-11 with the main points of living according to our current status in Jesus (1Cor.15:8-11) , not wasting God's grace (1Cor.15:10a), working harder (10c). Meanwhile, the level of satisfaction of the participants at Satisfaction level, with details: of the total 135 who attended (86.67% of the total 135 youth members) was as follows: None (0%) participants felt dissatisfied, 3 people (2 .6%) felt less satisfied, 4 people (3.42%) felt neutral, 75 people (64.1%) felt satisfied and 18 people (15.4%) felt very satisfied.

Abstract

Community Service Activities have several background problems, namely: First, there is a shift in understanding of the meaning of testifying about Jesus to other people. More and more people understand that witnessing about Jesus is enough just by the life and good deeds of believers, if we look at the context of our current society. Second, it is often misunderstood by believers in Jesus regarding 'good deeds to others', because salvation is only by grace and by faith alone. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is: First, to explain ways to be good witnesses of Christ and testify through our good deeds. Second, to measure the level of respondent satisfaction with the material and delivery of this activity. The method used to present this article is the descriptive method, while the method used in the activity is the lecture method. The results of this activity are: First, ways to be a good witness for Christ (Acts 4:13-20), namely having the right belief in Jesus, acting rightly and having the right priorities. Meanwhile, the principles of witnessing through good deeds are doing good with gentleness, doing good when bearing burdens, doing good because there is a law of sowing and reaping from God. Second, the results of audience satisfaction are as follows: Of the 116 samples who responded to the satisfaction level questionnaire: no people (0%) said they were dissatisfied, 0.5 people (0.44%) said they were dissatisfied, 6 people (5.16%) said they were neutral, 97 .5 people (84.01%) said they were satisfied and 11.5 people (9.95%) said they were very satisfied. It can be concluded that the majority of respondents expressed satisfaction, and a small percentage stated they were very satisfied. The level of satisfaction is high.

Abstract

The background to this Community Service Activity (PkM) is: First, there is a need among congregation members for speakers/lecturers/who can speak Javanese so that the participants better understand the material for faith formation, in the context of commemorating Good Friday and Easter. Second, there is a need to refresh the commitment of congregation members in their faith in Jesus Christ. Third, there is a need for a correct understanding of Good Friday and Easter for the general public, so that they get the correct information about this. The aim of this Community Service activity is as follows: First, so that the message of the lecture about the coming of Jesus who gives life and abundance (John 10:10b) can be captured or understood more clearly by the recipients of this PkM service, because it is delivered in Javanese . Second, to explain the material for community service through faith formation lectures. Third, to determine respondents' satisfaction as participants in this community service activity. The results of this devotion are: First, faith formation material with the theme "Christ came to give life and abundance" including that Jesus is the door to guaranteeing safety and security, Jesus came to give life and abundance and Jesus guides the lost sheep. The level of satisfaction of the participants with the material and its delivery is at the level of hight (85,11%).

Abstract

This research as a whole consists of two parts: The first part is a descriptive study of the literature, and the second part is the result of field research. The discussion of identity in Christ is focused on the Book of Philippians. This research is motivated by the fact at the place of study that there are young Christians who are less committed to living in their identity in Christ. This is shown by some facts such as, when youths to worship together in less youth worship, attendance in worship is relatively low. Some young Christians easily do not worship because they are too busy with study / work assignments, why there are events at study sites or jobs, the reasons for relatives or friends coming from out of town, there are even reasonable reasons for watching football broadcast on television or with not easy to worship just because of rain and so on.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang, adanya kesan terkesampingkannya Kitab Yeremia dalam studi teologi maupun dalam praktis penyampaian firman Tuhan. Selain itu, pokok penghukuman atau pendisiplinan Allah terhadap umat-Nya di masa sekarang ini agak terabaikan, karena anggapan bahwa hidup di masa anugerah segala sesuatu anugerah Tuhan sedangkan tindakan hukuman Allah, kurang menjadi perhatian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Jadi tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan data-data dalam Kitab Yeremia, mengenai penghukuman Allah atas umat-Nya dan menjelaskan tentang relevansinya bagi umat Tuhan masa kini. Studi kepustakaan difokuskan kepada studi teks dalam Kitab Yeremia, sedangkan data yang lain diperoleh dari buku-buku tafsiran dan buku-buku pendukung lainnya.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are church elders who do not carry out their service duties properly. Such as the fact found in this study that there are church elders who often miss their schedule to deliver the Word of God during youth fellowship services. This apparently has an impact on youth who feel they are not experiencing growth in their spiritual life. Therefore, this study aims to explain how the role of elders in the church towards the spiritual growth of youth in GKPI JK Batu Aji Lama Batam. In the discussion of this research, the researcher used the GKPI almanac book and books about spiritual growth from several sources as the theory. The type of research used is qualitative research. With several data collection techniques such as observation, interview and questionnaire distribution. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. In this study, it was found that the church elders in carrying out their role to grow the spirituality of the youth had gone well, but there were several things that needed to be evaluated by the elders. Interestingly, in this study it turned out to recognize the existence of other factors that were not the focus of this study which contributed to the spiritual growth of the youth. For this reason, through this study, the researcher suggests other researchers to conduct further research with the aim of discussing these other factors in more depth.

Abstract

This study is an evaluative descriptive study, in particular the concept of Christology in 'The Davinci Code'. The research method is descriptive research that aims to describe (explain, describe) data. And evaluative mean to be giving an evaluation of the circumstances or specific data. So this study will provide an explanation at the same time give an assessment (evaluation) of the data (Christology in The Da Vinci Code) using data Sinotik Gospel. This research has a purpose: First, to explain the ideology. Christology contained in The Da Vinci Code. Second, to present an evaluation of Christology contained in The Da Vinci Code, based on the teachings of Christology in the Synoptic Gospels. The scope of this article are: Firstly, this study only discusses the fundamental Christological contained in The Da Vinci Code. Second, the data used to evaluate Christology in The Da Vinci Code is only the data of the Synoptic Gospels.
