Abstract

Public sector modernization has long been on the political agenda of governments around the world. This study aims to provide an overview of the development of scientific research with the theme of public sector digitalization in the last ten years, from 2014 to 2023. The researcher used the qualitative method with a literature approach. The data source was obtained by accessing journals in the Scopus database with high citation counts. The data obtained was then analyzed using VOSviewer. The results showed that 417 journals studied public sector digitalization from 2014 to 2023. It is widely assumed that the United Kingdom and the United States are the most influential countries in digitalization research in the public sector. The results showed a significant difference in research topics between the UK and the US. Even though this study provides information about public sector digitalization, it has its limitations. The main limitation is that the articles only come from the Scopus database, with no other comparative data. Future research should continue to use data from other databases to contribute more comprehensive knowledge.

Abstract

Social media platforms have become one of the most important online spaces for political communication. The General Election Commission as the organizer of the election must be able to use social media to socialize the stages of the election that have been and will be held. By focusing on the use of Twitter in Indonesia, this research examines how the Indonesian General Election Commission is using the Twitter platform for socialization towards the 2024 general election. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data is sourced from the KPU RI Twitter account with the account name @KPU_ID, then processed using Qualitative Data Software Analysis (QDSA), namely NVivo 12 Plus. The results show that the intensity of electoral content socialization delivered by KPU accounts has different intensities. The highest percentage of socialized content is Political Parties with 55%, Updating voter data at 17%, Formulation of Regulations at 16%, and Electoral districts with a percentage of 12%. However, while the intensity of KPU_ID tweets is very high, the reaction of followers to the presented content is very low because the information presented is not detailed. When using social media to communicate with their followers, KPU can provide a clear information reference to increase follower feedback. A clear reference to followers is crucial in exploring representational linkages between KPU and followers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Rural bridge construction to the economic development of the community, specifically focusing on Dusun Cemara, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. This research uses a qualitative approach; data sources are obtained from primary data through interviews with village officials and local communities. Secondary data is also used to support the research, data sourced from government documents, and relevant literature. Dusun Cemara with great potential in the fisheries sector and marine tourism, is still constrained by the lack of adequate road and bridge infrastructure, so the government built a suspension bridge with the aim of improving accessibility and community mobility. The results showed that post-bridge construction, there was an increase in accessibility which ultimately affected the economy in several vital local sectors. This finding is in line with economic development theory that sees infrastructure as a pillar of development. This research identifies various challenges related to infrastructure sustainability. Thus, policy recommendations emphasize increased community participation, budget allocation for ongoing maintenance to maximize the long-term positive impact of infrastructure development.
