Abstract

Poverty alleviation has been a major problem in Indonesia for a long time. This happened because the number of poverty increased by more than a quarter after the crisis that occurred in 1998 and 2008. Meanwhile, Indonesia has experienced extraordinary changes, namely transformation in the social and political fields in line with the development of democracy, with the decentralization of government, and there is also greater transparency in the field of financial management which is much improved compared to what we had in the past. The government's commitment to poverty alleviation has been outlined in the 2005-2009 Medium Term Development Plan (RPJM) which is based on the National Poverty Reduction Strategy (SNPK). However, the poverty rate is still high regardless of any factor. This article focuses on discussing poverty which continues to reduce various poverty alleviation programs that have been launched by the government. The author has analyzed the phenomenon of absolute poverty based on political views, where these variables are related to economic growth since basic economic activity can influence poverty levels

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of implementing a green economy through the use of green products, focusing on their effect on consumption expenditure. The respondents consist of 12 informants who are members of the Bumi Ijo group. The study shows that the implementation of a green economy through the use of green products aligns with the objectives of a green economy, as users consciously choose green products to protect the environment and reduce issues related to plastic waste, as well as because green products are more durable. The impact of green products on expenditure is positive, as they serve as alternatives to conventional or factory-made products that can be reused multiple times, despite the higher initial cost

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the prospects of the Islamic economy in Indonesia during the Prabowo-Gibran leadership era, identify the opportunities and challenges faced, and formulate strategy recommendations to encourage comprehensive and sustainable Islamic economic growth. Using a qualitative approach through literature study, this study collects and analyzes various related literature sources, such as books, journals, research reports, and other relevant written sources. This research also examines Prabowo-Gibran's vision, mission, and work program related to the development of the Islamic economy in Indonesia. The results showed that the Prabowo-Gibran leadership era had great opportunities in the development of the Islamic banking and finance industry, the Islamic economic sector in the fields of trade, halal tourism, and MSMEs, as well as increasing public literacy and education about the Islamic economy. Supportive regulations and policies, financing, and Islamic economic diplomacy in the global arena are also important prospects in this era. However, the main challenges faced include the availability of competent human resources, competition with conventional economic systems, and harmonization of policies between the center and the regions. This research provides recommendations for strategies that can be applied by the Prabowo-Gibran administration to optimize opportunities and overcome challenges in the development of the Islamic economy in Indonesia

Abstract

Modern economic and social developments brought Muslim societies into the context of increasingly complex transactions, including banking, etc. This challenge raises new problems that are not only solved by the sources of Qur'anic law and hadith. Istiḥsān is a method of establishing law that is postulated in Hanafi fiqh although its existence is still debated among fiqh scholars. This paper aims to examine the value of maslahah in the application of Istiḥsān. This research uses a desk-based research method, which includes searching relevant literature for data, compiling journal articles and books covering the subject matter of the research topic, and systematic analysis of the information obtained.  The results of research in this paper show that istihsan uses maslahah mursalah as a method to get to maqashid shari'ah

Abstract

The Abbasid Dynasty is regarded as one of the most prosperous dynasties in history due to significant advancements across various sectors. One of the most prominent was the rapid development of the economic sector, driven by the policies enacted by the reigning caliphs, which brought the Abbasid economy to its peak. Indonesia, which shares similarities in human resources and its vast territory, has the potential to improve its economy amidst the current challenges. This research aims to examine which economic policies from the Abbasid era could be adapted to the contemporary Indonesian economy. The results of this study suggest that the economic policies from the Abbasid period, particularly in agriculture, mining, trade, and taxation, could serve as a reference for addressing Indonesia's current economic challenges. Indonesia possesses similar potential to the Abbasid Dynasty, with both having vast territories and diverse natural resources, as well as relying on taxation as a primary source of state revenue. However, these policies must be adapted to the modern era, considering that Indonesia has a different constitutional foundation than the Abbasid Dynasty
