Abstract: The third trimester of pregnancy is an important phase that is often accompanied by anxiety before childbirth. Unmanaged anxiety can affect the mother’s physical and psychological readiness in facing the labor process. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of third-trimester pregnant women in applying breathing relaxation techniques as an effort to reduce anxiety before childbirth. The activity was conducted in Pongangan Village, Manyar, Gresik, involving 27 pregnant women in their third trimester. The methods included a pre-test, education through a seminar, breathing relaxation practice, interactive discussion, and a post-test. The pre-test results showed that the participants’ anxiety level was predominantly in the moderate category, while their knowledge of breathing relaxation was still in the sufficient category. After receiving education and practice, the participants’ knowledge increased, with the post-test results dominated by the very good category. The interactive discussion also showed that the sources of anxiety among pregnant women were multidimensional, not only related to the labor process but also influenced by childcare stress, changes in body image, and concerns about psychological adjustment after childbirth. Breathing relaxation education has been proven to be a simple, safe, and effective intervention to support pregnant women’s readiness for childbirth.
