Abstract

Bengkulu Province is one of the developing provinces in Indonesia. The distribution of development and economic growth is still one of the main objectives of development in Indonesia, as well as Bengkulu Province. Development and growth are still centralised in Bengkulu City, causing inequality between regions in Bengkulu Province. This research aims to identify the typology of regions in Bengkulu Province, as an evaluation material for the government in determining priority development areas based on business fields in Bengkulu Province. The research method used is quantitative with sharpened through descriptive analysis. This research uses secondary data sources obtained from BPS Bengkulu Province. Based on the existing business sectors in Bengkulu Province, the primary sector or sectors that still depend on or take advantage of natural conditions, such as; agriculture, forestry and fisheries have the largest contribution to the Bengkulu Province GRDP, which is 27.57%, then the next sector is the Wholesale and Retail Trade sector; Car and Motorcycle Repair, with an average contribution of 15.82%, and the Government Administration sector with a contribution of 8.88%. Data were analysed using Klassen's typology, by dividing or grouping into 4 (four) quadrants based on business field indicators. The results of the Klassen typology analysis in Bengkulu Province based on business fields show that there is close to equity in each sector, typology in quadrants 1, 3, and 4 consists of 5 business fields, while the typology results in quadrant 2, only consists of 2 business fields (Manufacturing, Public Administration & Defence; Compulsory Social Security). Keywords: Regional Typology; Klassen Typology; Economy; Development.

Abstract

The social and economic sectors are need to be considered in assessing the level of development of a region. Bengkulu Province located on the west coast of the island of Sumatra has a contribution to Indonesia's GDP of 0.47%, which is a relatively small contribution of less than 1%. This aim of research is knowing the level of regional development in Bengkulu Province, by examining the social and economic sectors. The method is descriptive quantitative, quantitative analysis is used to analyze the level of regional development; then descriptive analysis is used to explain the phenomena that occur related to the level of regional development in Bengkulu Province. The level of regional development from the social sector, shows that most of them are in high qualifications (developed regions), this concludes that development related to the social sector is quite evenly distributed, only Lebong regency has a low classification level (underdeveloped) in contrast to the economic sector. That occurs in Bengkulu Province is mostly at the low classification level (underdeveloped regions), only Bengkulu City which is at high level, and North Bengkul Regancy with a medium level (developed). The Bengkulu Provincial Government needs to pay attention of areas with low classification (underdeveloped), especially in Lebong Regency with low classification (underdeveloped) in the social and economic sectors.

Abstract

Mapping details related to village (hamlet) boundaries needs to be implemented. Problems that often occur within the villages include: problems of village administrative boundaries, then problems in the form of village facility assets that are not properly registered ( inventarisation). One of the objectives of village mapping is to accelerate the process of digitising village data by presenting it on one map. The method used was participatory mapping, which directly involved the indigenous people of Singajaya Village. Participatory mapping serves to enrich the data collected in relation to the boundaries between hamlets in Singajaya Village. The village mapping in the form of hamlet administration was processed using GIS processing, with the results being that of the total area of Singajaya Village of 555.64 Hectares, Hamlet 1 has the largest area, followed by Hamlet 4, while Hamlet 2 has the narrowest area among the hamlets in Singajaya Village. The boundaries used as benchmarks between hamlets in Singajaya Village consist of natural and artificial benchmarks, such as trees, rivers, irrigation, and roads.

Abstract

The destruction of houses and facilities by landslide causes deaths. In this context, the level of destruction and subjective description of the characteristics can be examined through landslide parts determination. Therefore, this study aims to determine potential landslide hazard zone and houses potentially affected. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are morphometric surveys combined with surface morphodynamics to show potential hazard zones of landslide parts. Meanwhile, Data Elevation Model (DEM) is used to delineate relict landslide and the concept is verified by field observation and orthophoto. Morphometric measurements are collected at each slope gradient by GNSS and surface morphodynamics are investigated on the entire relict landslide area by direct observation and orthophoto data. The combination of morphometric and morphodynamic data describes hazard zone of relict landslide. In addition, the integration of orthophoto and landslide hazard zone data is used to determine potentially affected houses. This study was conducted on landslides 1 and 2 with zone classifications of very high, high, low and very low. The results show that there are different conditions and the most hazardous parts of landslides 1 and 2 are the foot and body, respectively. A total of 75 and 50 houses were potentially affected by landslides 1 and 2, respectively. Identification of hazard zones based on landslide parts determines the boundaries of the area affected. The addition of surface activity processes determines the level of hazard in each of parts, while the combination of morphometric and morphodynamic data shows landslide zone.
