Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of work-life balance policies on employee welfare. Along with the growing awareness of the importance of work-life balance, various policies have been implemented by companies to support the well-being of employees. This study collects and analyzes data from various studies that have been published to evaluate the effectiveness of such policies in improving employee well-being. The results of the analysis show that the work-life balance policy is significantly positively correlated with the improvement of employee welfare, which includes physical, mental, and emotional aspects with a Hedge's effect size value (d) of 0.891 in the high effect size category. In addition, this study also identifies several moderation variables such as the type of industry, the size of the company, and the type of policy that affects the effectiveness of the policy. These findings have practical implications for company management in designing and implementing effective work-life balance policies to support employee welfare

Abstract

Effective leadership is often associated with a variety of competencies and personal characteristics, where emotional intelligence (EI) has been a major focus in the last decade. This study examines the role of emotional intelligence in effective leadership through a comprehensive literature review. Using a systematic approach, we analyzed relevant articles and books from 2022 to 2024, which included theory, empirical research, and case studies on EI and leadership. The results of this review show that EI contributes significantly to effective decision-making, conflict management, and the development of interpersonal relationships in the context of leadership. Furthermore, emotional intelligence allows leaders to be more effective in managing stress and motivating subordinates. These findings underscore the importance of integrating EI training in leadership development programs to improve leadership effectiveness in various sectors. The study proposes several recommendations for leadership practices and future research directions, reinforcing the view that EI is an essential key to successful and sustainable leadership

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of rice sharing services on the traditional taxi market through a meta-analysis. Rice-sharing services have grown rapidly in recent years, offering cheaper and more convenient transportation alternatives for consumers. The study pooled and analyzed the results of 10 studies examining the impact of rice-sharing services on the traditional taxi market. The results of the meta-analysis showed that rice sharing services had a significant negative impact on the income and number of traditional taxi passengers with an effect size value of 0.712. This effect is stronger in developing countries and in large cities. Subgroup analysis showed that the impact of rice-sharing services was greater on economy-class taxis and taxis operating on popular routes. Nan Berbagi Rice has disrupted the traditional taxi market and led to a decline in revenue and the number of traditional taxi riders. The findings have important implications for the taxi industry and policymakers looking to formulate regulations for rice-sharing services.
