Abstract

Human resources are a crucial element in achieving a company's objectives. The success of a company greatly depends on effective management of existing resources. Performance management plays a vital role in optimizing the performance of individuals, work units, and the company as a whole. A competency-based performance management system helps ensure that employee tasks and abilities align with the company's strategic goals. This system also contributes to rewarding high-performing employees who make significant contributions. PT Singlurus Pratama faces challenges in the coal industry and needs to enhance productivity through Competency-Based Human Resource Management (CBHRM). This research aims to explain the implementation of a competency-based performance management system at PT Singlurus Pratama and analyze its supporting and inhibiting factors. A descriptive research method with a qualitative approach is used to collect data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results indicate that employee awareness and discipline, collaboration between evaluators and employees, as well as technical and managerial support are the main supporting factors. However, subjectivity in evaluations, lack of employee involvement, and resistance to change are inhibiting factors that need to be addressed to achieve the success of the competency-based performance management system.

Abstract

This study examines the business strategies applied by millennial entrepreneurial students in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi. These students are engaged in various business sectors such as food and beverages, fashion, cosmetics, services, art and design, and digital business. The primary purpose of the study is to analyze the strategies used in responding to business opportunities, competitive advantages, contributions to entrepreneurship learning in higher education, and obstacles and solutions faced by students. With a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study explores the experiences of young entrepreneurs in taking advantage of market opportunities that other entrepreneurs often ignore. Students utilize business model innovation theory by considering factors such as understanding consumer behavior, product differentiation, service quality, and location and network. Entrepreneurship learning in higher education makes an essential contribution to equipping students with an understanding of business strategies and their application in actual practice. Of the ten respondents, five have participated in entrepreneurship seminars and training, while the other five are self-taught and through campus activities. These two methods are considered influential in shaping entrepreneurial skills and mindsets. The challenges faced by millennial entrepreneurs, as well as the solutions they implement, show relevance to modern management theory. This research provides insight into how entrepreneurship education and training can support student business development.

Abstract

The urgency of this research lies in the pressing need to understand and address the socio-economic impact of "Sobis" in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The proposed solution is to redirect former perpetrators toward legal businesses in order to reduce cybercrime, improve welfare, create job opportunities, and strengthen the local economy. The findings show that the transition of former online fraud perpetrators in Sidenreng Rappang Regency has brought positive impacts on economic, social, and psychological aspects. Economically, although legal income is smaller, their financial condition is now more stable, organized, and allows for savings. Socially, they are better able to adapt, leave behind a false luxurious lifestyle, and build a positive image through legal businesses. Psychologically, they experience greater peace and more stable happiness compared to their past, which was full of stress and paranoia. Awareness of legal consequences also strengthens their determination not to return to illegal activities. In short, this transition results in economic stability, social modesty, and psychological calmness.
