Abstract

Background. Halal tourism is a significant concern in Indonesia, where most people are Muslim. One of the halal tourism industry sectors that has emerged in society is the existence of Sharia-based hotels. Sharia hotels are hotels whose management is in accordance with Sharia principles. However, only a few hotels in Bandung use Sharia principles because there are no standard regulations for halal tourism. Purpose. The purpose of this research is to understand the juridical regulations regarding the sharia-principle hotel industry and to understand the level of public awareness and compliance in utilizing services in the Sharia hotel industry in the city of Bandung. The research methodology used is normative juridical, using empirical juridical research of a qualitative nature, using empirical normative legal research methods. The Sharia hotel industry is still implementing the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Regulation No. 2 of 2014 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Sharia Hotel Business; there is a legal vacuum here because juridically, the rules and regulations regarding Sharia hotels have not been made or do not yet exist. Conclusions is the hotel with a Sharia concept is a good intention from the stakeholders of the Sharia economy. In Bandung, there are several Sharia hotels that have not been certified but have implemented Sharia principles in their management, so these hotels have carried out independent assessments, so they are permissible as long as they do not conflict with Islamic values as empirical evidence of the theory of legal personality

Abstract

This research highlights the significant potential of Genetic Algorithms (GA) as a powerful tool for optimizing logistics distribution routes. The utilization of GA has led to substantial improvements in route efficiency, resulting in cost reductions and shorter delivery times. Notably, the inclusion of customer satisfaction as a key parameter in route optimization emphasizes the importance of meeting customer expectations and ensuring timely deliveries. Additionally, the study recognizes the positive environmental implications of reduced travel distances and durations, indicating a favorable impact on environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions. Ethical considerations remain paramount, as the research employs anonymized data sources and adheres rigorously to industry standards to safeguard data privacy. Comparative analyses consistently favor GA over conventional distribution methods, reaffirming its capacity to generate more efficient routes. Overall, this investigation underscores the versatility and efficacy of Genetic Algorithms in addressing complex logistics distribution challenges, offering practical solutions that benefit businesses, customers, and environmental conservation alike.

Abstract

-This research analyzes potential locations for the manufacturing industry studied using a GIS approach and data analysis. Researchers combine statistical and spatial analysis methods and unique techniques such as TOPSIS and MOORA to evaluate the most suitable locations based on predefined criteria. Key findings show that Purbalingga Regency is the optimal location, supported by high labor availability, developed logistics infrastructure, and supportive environmental regulations. Sumedang Regency also shows good potential, especially regarding vital market accessibility and strict environmental regulations. However, Bengkulu City faces challenges in several aspects, such as underdeveloped logistics infrastructure and suboptimal ecological regulations. The implications of these findings for manufacturing location decision-making practices, the advantages and disadvantages of GIS approaches and data analysis, and the research contributions to science and the manufacturing industry are also discussed in depth. Thus, this research provides valuable insights for decision-makers in allocating resources and planning investments in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement an efficient hospital queue management system by integrating the Priority Queue algorithm with Reinforcement Learning (RL). The primary objective is to enhance the prioritization of emergency patients, ensuring that those with the most critical conditions receive timely care. The Priority Queue algorithm facilitates the sorting of patients based on the severity of their medical conditions, while RL enables the system to continuously learn and optimize the queue management process using historical data and real-time feedback. The research methodology includes data collection from hospital queues, algorithm model development, and simulated and real-world data validation. The results demonstrate that the combination of these algorithms significantly reduces waiting times for emergency patients and improves overall hospital operational efficiency. Additionally, implementing this algorithm has increased patient satisfaction due to shorter wait times and more timely services. The study concludes that the Priority Queue algorithm enhanced by RL is an effective solution for hospital queue management and recommends further research on larger scales and with more complex algorithms.

Abstract

Traditional markets play an important role in the economy, especially for the lower middle class. Even though modern minimarkets are increasingly mushrooming, the existence of traditional markets is still needed to meet people's needs. However, choosing the location of the market is very important because it will influence consumer decision making in purchasing goods. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze traditional markets in densely populated areas such as the Ciwastra traditional market located in Bandung City, West Java. This research uses a qualitative methodology with descriptive analysis methods to explain market location analysis, data collection in this research uses interviews, literature studies, and field observations. The results of this research state that the choice of location for Ciwastra Market was quite appropriate with various aspects taken into consideration. It is hoped that relevant policy makers can develop traditional markets so they can compete with modern markets. Ciwasta Market has succeeded in utilizing the purchasing power of the local community, especially lower-middle income households who are the main customers of this market. Its strategic location in a residential area guarantees high accessibility for local consumers. The unique location of Ciwasta Market, close to residential areas and minimarkets, provides a strategic advantage in reaching household consumers.

Abstract

Halal logistics plays an important role in ensuring compliance with sharia law in Indonesia's culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Unlike previous research that generally examined halal logistics in large-scale industries, this study specifically focuses on the operational performance of culinary MSMEs, a sector that faces unique challenges in certification, traceability, and risk management. This research uses a quantitative approach to examine the mediating effects of halal certification, supply chain traceability, and halal risk management on operational performance. Data were collected from 292 culinary MSMEs across Indonesia through structured surveys and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The research results show that halal logistics practices significantly mediate the relationship between halal certification and operational performance (β = 0.379; p < 0.001), while supply chain traceability (β = 0.464; p < 0.001) and risk management (β = 0.325; p < 0.001) also have strong positive effects. This research model is able to explain 53.4% of the variation in operational performance (R² = 0.534), indicating moderate predictive power. These findings confirm the novelty of research in the culinary MSME sector and provide quantitative evidence that halal logistics can improve operational efficiency while maintaining sharia compliance. Practical recommendations are provided for policymakers and business practitioners to develop sustainable halal supply chains, thereby strengthening Indonesia's position in the global halal economy.
