Abstract

Abstract

-This research analyzes potential locations for the manufacturing industry studied using a GIS approach and data analysis. Researchers combine statistical and spatial analysis methods and unique techniques such as TOPSIS and MOORA to evaluate the most suitable locations based on predefined criteria. Key findings show that Purbalingga Regency is the optimal location, supported by high labor availability, developed logistics infrastructure, and supportive environmental regulations. Sumedang Regency also shows good potential, especially regarding vital market accessibility and strict environmental regulations. However, Bengkulu City faces challenges in several aspects, such as underdeveloped logistics infrastructure and suboptimal ecological regulations. The implications of these findings for manufacturing location decision-making practices, the advantages and disadvantages of GIS approaches and data analysis, and the research contributions to science and the manufacturing industry are also discussed in depth. Thus, this research provides valuable insights for decision-makers in allocating resources and planning investments in the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

Motivation to learn has an important role in arousing students' enthusiasm and initiative to learn. Students have a busy time, and a lack of initiative leads to delaying learning behavior, so that the existence of learning motivation can reduce the occurrence of academic procrastination behavior. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the connection between students' academic procrastinating behavior and learning motivation. The correlational approach is employed in this investigation. A total of 300 students were included in the sampling, which was done using a purposive sampling technique. A learning motivation questionnaire, an academic procrastination questionnaire, and an interview guide sheet were the tools employed. Utilizing the product moment correlation method, data collection was evaluated. The findings revealed a correlation coefficient (rxy) of -0.659 with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a significant negative relationship between students' academic procrastination behavior and their learning motivation. This indicates that the two variables have a strong relationship with the category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze income inequality and subjective welfare in a region. This study uses microdata from household surveys to calculate income inequality. We conducted this survey using an identical questionnaire with a sample of adults. The sample size is around 100. One of the main findings of this study is that regions that were traditionally considered to have greater inequality no longer have this attribute when compared to regional and global levels. This reflects a shift in the pattern of inequality in the region. A positive correlation was also found between income inequality and subjective well-being, as well as a curve when comparing subjective well-being inequality with products. These results suggest that there is a complex relationship between these factors in the context of inequality. However, when compared with the level of subjective well-being, there is a very negative relationship, which may indicate an individual's preference to live in areas that are more egalitarian in terms of well-being. This indicates that subjective well-being perceptions are also influenced by factors other than income, such as access to facilities and services. Although these results are interesting, it is important to remember that this study has problems and limitations in terms of the survey and methods used. Therefore, these results should be interpreted with caution and can serve as a basis for further research to understand more deeply the relationship between income inequality, subjective well-being, and other factors that influence perceived well-being.

Abstract

Background Holistic STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education is essential to harness the potential of young learners as they are the future leaders and workforce in the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 and Society 5.0 era. Unfortunately, the teaching of STEM subjects that are rich in content does not necessarily encourage the development of talents for critical thinking, creativity, and complex problem solving. This study investigates the effectiveness of an immersive learning approach in STEM science classes in Senior High Schools in Indonesia and explains the extent to which this approach is supported by applicable principles on how this approach can be used to enhance student learning. Referring to a case study conducted in a senior high school in Bengkulu, this study discusses the strategies implemented, the challenges faced, and their impact on student engagement and understanding of content and learning 21st century skills. The findings indicate that the integrated immersive learning STEM curriculum in schools has resulted in an 82.5% increase in student learning motivation, a 20% ~ 35% increase in programming skills, and a 27.5% increase in collaboration skills. However, obstacles such as teacher education and technological facility constraints still exist. Based on various perspectives and real-world experiences, this note recommends a critical approach to promote the embedding of deep learning in STEM education through targeted policies and systemic support. Hopefully, these suggestions can build educational innovations that are sustainable enough to be disseminated to other regions in Indonesia.
