Abstract

Community empowerment aims to increase the ability and skills independently to develop and innovate, through basic local tour guide training activities as a community empowerment program that will help the people in Dusun Mendiro know the basics of tour guides which will later be used to improve the economy of the surrounding community. However, the basic training for local tour guides held by KKN students from the East Java "Veteran" National Development University invited academics from the tourism sector to become speakers in this training. Apart from that, there is also assistance from the Forestry Service Branch of the Nganjuk Working Area. From this training activity, it was concluded that the local tour guides in Mendiro Hamlet still lack a sense of trust when communicating and lack detailed knowledge about existing attractions. So that the interpretation and intonation skills possessed by local tour guides in Mendiro Hamlet still need to be considered and trained independently, through the basic material presented it is hoped that this will become a provision for preparation for local tour guides when guiding tourists. This study uses 3 stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. With a qualitative approach, it helps researchers find results that are in accordance with the conditions that occur in the field.

Abstract

Candida albicans can cause two infections in humans: superficial and systemic. The ability of C. albicans to infect the host is influenced by virulence factors and character changes so that it can fool the immune system. From the character change factor, C. albicans can form a biofilm. This study aims to determine the good concentration in inhibiting and determine the antifungal and antibiofilm activity of nanoemulsion mouthwash formulation of bajakah tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) skin extract against C. albicans. This research was conducted with an experimental method. The formulation used a spontaneous magnetic stirrer technique to make nanoemulsion preparations. Antifungal and antibiofilm tests were carried out by dilution method using a 96-well plate and a microplate reader with a wavelength of 620 nm to determine the percentage inhibition against C. albicans and determine MIC50 and MBIC50. The results showed that the nanoemulsion mouthwash formulation of S. littoralis inhibited the planktonic and biofilm of C. albicans. The concentration of 1% is expressed as MIC50 and MBIC50. Therefore, the nanoemulsion formulation of S. littoralis extract could inhibit the growth of C. albicans in the oral cavity.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan secara mandiri untuk berkembang dan berinovasi, melalui kegiatan pelatihan dasar pemandu wisata lokal sebagai program pemberdayaan kepada masyarakat akan membantu masyarakat di Dusun Mendiro mengetahui dasar – dasar pemandu wisata yang nantinya akan bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Namun, pelatihan dasar pemandu wisata lokal yang diselenggarakan oleh mahasiswa KKN dari Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur menggandeng akademisi dari bidang pariwisata untuk menjadi pemateri dalam pelatihan ini. Selain itu, ada pendampingan juga dari Dinas Kehutanan Cabang Wilayah Kerja Nganjuk. Dari kegiatan pelatihan ini, menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa pemandu wisata lokal yang ada di Dusun Mendiro masih kurang memiliki rasa kepercayaan saat berkomunikasi dan kurang pengetahuan secara detail seputar daya tarik yang ada. Sehingga kemampuan interpretasi dan intonasi yang dimiliki oleh pemandu wisata lokal di Dusun Mendiro masih perlu diperhatikan dan dilatih secara mandiri, melalui materi dasar yang disampaikan diharapkan bisa menjadi bekal persiapan bagi pemandu wisata lokal saat memandu wisatawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, membantu peneliti menemukan hasil yang sesuai dengan keadaan yang terjadi dilapangan.
